The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was clean and presentable. There is a lift up to each floor. The amusements and sand beach are just across the road, lovely shops behind the hotel even big names like m&s t k maxx new look. It was nice that I didn’t have to drive anywhere the next day to get to do things it was all within walking distance.
For my personal preference the pillows where to puffy. The room was too hot but in the morning I noticed the radiator does have a thermostat. My dinner was a little disappointing but my companion was happy with his. Fruit at breakfast would of been nice but breakfast was fine.

The hotel was nicely decorated and you could tell that somebody gave due care and attention. New room doors fresh paint which hadn't been applied by somebody with a sight impairment, nice linen and pillows. The hotel offered a parking permit for the street outside and as set down by the local council it was free of charge though not unreasonably a safe return deposit was required. I had no problem finding a space to take advantage of this. Hotel is a short walk from the The Pier theatre, Quayside and shops and beach. Sadly the historic tramway has been ripped out, a town council travesty, piece of history erased.
Breakfast, I ordered vegan so when it arrived with a fried egg it really turned my tummy. The chap who took my order was very careful in writing it down and repeating back. The order arrived to me via somebody else who then took it away to scrape the egg off but the grease left from the egg I knew was still there and I had to wipe it off the plate with the napkins. I know it sounds a minor thing but it really made me feel queasy looking at it.

The room was immaculate, bed was super comfy, i fell asleep within minutes of lying down! Location was perfect for beach and town centre. Staff were amazing and helpful. Enjoyed a few drinks in the chilled quiet bar during the evening and staff were friendly and chatty. Garage parking was amazing as not much parking in the town during summer months.
Only negative would be the room was very warm but it was a heatwave and a fan was provided and doors let in a nice breeze(beach rugby festival was going on quite loud but didnt stop me falling asleep!) Would love to visit with my kids so thats a downside ☹️

The staff were wonderful. A special mention to Gabriel in the dining room Being disabled I was very pleased with the lift. However, having no cordoned off area to park the car for taking out our cases and wheelchair was exceedingly difficult. One of the staff(i’m sorry we didn’t ask your name) was a great help on our arrival but our departure was quite stressful. We had to park the car on the exit junction of the road as Parking outside of the hotel was causing a traffic jam. Luckily for us, some holiday makers saw our struggle and helped.. Being disabled, I was very pleased

Great location, direct opposite the beach. Superb breakfast (wonderful porridge!) maybe the room was a little small, but it was perfectly comfortable
The only downsides were the fire alarm that went off at two a.m, but accidents happen, so it’s unlikely to happen again, and the car park. Having to get then return the key was an irritation that could have been avoided with a punch/code lock, and the ‘step’ on the left of the garage needs outlining with yellow paint so it shows up better on parking cameras, which you absolutely need here But overall? A Great hotel that we will gladly use again

The hotel was lovely, beautifully decorated and really clean. The room was a good size and had a lovely view overlooking the seafront. The Staff were extremely friendly and i was greeted with a smile on my arrival. They were all very helpful and they couldn't have done more. Location was brilliant, right opposite the beach and the town was literally a stones throw away.
The bathroom, although lovely and warm and spotlessly clean was a little dated and the shower was ok however it took a while before I could get the temperature right as the controls were a little tired and it didn't regulate very well.

We have stayed at the Rex Hotel many times. We love the building and location, a grand seafront Georgian 4 storey building, with first floor balcony rooms. The entrance area, bar and reception have more recently been given a very sensitive, stylist refurbishment. All the staff are lovely, they are a small team, they are very helpful. The guest rooms have been simply modified over the last couple of years, they are comfortable. We have only ever slept in rooms with a seaview, I have only experienced an inland room once, it was a single room, the room was small but neat and clean, the view was over the roof tops of Weymouth. Which I liked. There are tea and coffee making facilities in all room and all are en suite. In the balcony room there are 2 collapsable deck chairs in the wardrobe to use on the balcony, which is quite cute. The shower is manually regulated, it’s not difficult to acquire a good heat. Breakfast options are great, there is plenty of choice. Self service for fruit juices, cereal and fruits, table order for hot drinks and cooked breakfasts. Poached eggs are great. They offer kippers which are really good with horseradish. The veggie breakfast isn’t bad. The full English is well cooked overall. The price for the room with breakfast is very good value. The Rex Hotel also offers parking for £12 a day which is very reasonable given parking locally is £4.50 per hour.
This is me being picky…. What I don’t like are some of the modifications, all room I have slept in over the past year now have memory foam mattresses, which have memorised shapes already. I felt like I was slopping towards the edge of the bed, not ideal. The Hot drinks are disappointing, the tea isn’t the best, it’s weak and it would be great to offer cafeterias as the brewed coffee seems stewed, sorry.

Very friendly staff on arrival, great local knowledge and good advice given. Late booking but we had a sea view room which was wonderful.
Breakfast room was downstairs and it was dark and gloomy, due to there being no windows or outside light coming in. This was in stark contrast to the upper floors that had lots of lovely light coming in, giving the place a fresh and airy feel to it. There didn't appear to be much choice in the way of fresh fruit for breakfast and there was just a large fridge that contained the milk and yogurts that you could help yourself to. Not the best breakfast we have had. Having said that, what we did eat was good.

What a great Hotel. Such a great price I thought that there may be something wrong with it! Definitely not! Lovely building, comfy bed and pillows, spotlessly clean and the staff were all professional and friendly. My only gripe is that I was near a double set of corridor fire doors which banged shut when anyone passed through them. Cant be helped I suppose as necessary but some sort of padding would be good.

Location was great as we were visiting to see a show at the pavilion. Breakfast was yummy! Room was huge! Cleaning throughout the hotel and our room was spotless!
Nothing much bad to say as we were just using it as a base to get our head down. Unfortunately a group of people were making noise outside the hotel (even though everything was closed) waking us up hourly until 3.30 in the morning so not a great nights sleep. Shower pressure was also pretty much non existent. We reserved an F zone parking permit and had to drive around waiting for someone to leave to get a space, so in hindsight I’d probably plan to arrive around check out time when people would be leaving.
