The location is ideal, within walking distance of the train station, harbours, and beaches, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, accommodating all my requests with ease. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable. The facilities exceeded my expectations. I had requested a room with a bathtub, and they happily provided one. The room was well thought out, with practical features like lights above the mirrors, which were a huge help when doing my makeup. Unlike many older British hotels, this room even had a USB port conveniently located next to the bed, along with a bedside light and a separate reading light. The room also included a kettle with a selection of teas, a TV, and a radiator that kept the space wonderfully warm. The value was unbelievable, especially as breakfast was included. The breakfast was freshly made to order, and the restaurant staff were incredibly tidy and attentive.

Noisy neighbouring businesses - there are few lousy bars & pubs located nearby & drunk people kept shouting till early hours. Thankfully I brought earplugs.

The Crown is a well-oiled machine with friendly and efficient staff and a no-frills but efficient, clean room perfect for our night stay after a long day's walking the Jurassic Coast. The hotel was comfortable, safe and easy to sleep in, with an overall atmosphere full of life without being overwhelming. Located in Weymouth right by the port, it was perfect for our night out strolling, dining and drinking, enjoying the warm seaside Friday night amongst the array of pubs and live music. Super close to the beach. Fish n Chips from The Old Harbour opposite is throughly recommended

Breakfast was not the greatest - the scrabbled eggs tasted purely of milk - but the impeccable, friendly service more than made up for it: setting us up for a good day (despite our wine-weary heads and tired legs).

Excellent location right in the centre next to the harbour, shops and bars. Hotel is very clean and well presented.ideal for families, couples and solo travellers.hotel also has a large guest lounge on the first floor which has tv and good view of town centre. Late bar for customers and also non residents.entertainment and live music in function room the evening I was there. Nice full English breakfast cooked to order. Great value at £65.00 for one night. I've stayed there several times and will be back again.

Not a criticism but I advise to book parking early as only 4 spaces I believe.however, the hotel will scan your chip from the multi storey nearby and you then get 24 hours for £6.00 which is superb value.

Always good to return to the Crown. Only one night stay this time, family birthday celebrations held in Weymouth. Fantastic location with everything you need within walking distance.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful as always. Always like to use the hotel bar, but felt a change in the vibe of the bar, not sure if hotel staff have changed, but it was much noisier than previously. I believe it was an off duty member of staff sat at the bar constantly shouting across to some other people using the bar and the member of staff behind the bar. Of course staff are entitled to down time, but just felt it was unprofessional and off putting for paying guests.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt so welcome when we arrived. It was my mums 75th Birthday they made a fuss of her and made her feel really special. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious and very clean. Beds were comfy. The interior of the hotel was beautiful - very fresh and modern. Location was great, very handy for the town centre, the harbour is right on the doorstep and only a small pleasant walk to the seafront. We will definitely be returning soon.

There literally wasn't anything to not like. Parking was fully booked when we stayed but there was a reasonably priced car park across the the harbour bridge. (Literally a 2min walk) so even that wasn't a problem.

Nice central location and not far from the beach. The hotel is big and seems to have many rooms; I had thought, as I've found with some other large hotels, that there wouldn't be enough breakfast tables - but there are plenty, and they cooked the breakfast quickly too (it's nice to have it cooked to order instead of buffet). Staff were all friendly. There was live music (1 man band) in the evening, which was a bit loud if you didn't want to listen to it. Room small but comfortable, tidy and very clean. The hotel is old-style kinda seaside resort hotel like you might expect in the 50's-70's (I imagine - I'm not quite that age), which might seem a bit dated for some, but to me it seemed to have a sort of retro charm.

Just nitpicky things: it was a bit of a maze to find the way to the room. There wasn't a lot of seating in the bar area, and no biscuits in the room (there is tea and coffee). Oh, and although the breakfast was good, it was not huge - I'm not sure if there was an option to ask for additional sausage/bacon etc, so maybe it is my mistake, but you fill out a tick-sheet for breakfast items and they give you one of each, but perhaps you're supposed to put how many of each you want - in which case the breakfast is as big or small as you want it to be. The only particular issue was parking - we had to park in the multistory, which is about 4 minutes' walk, which is ok but if you have luggage then maybe less so.

Staff were fantastic, cheerful and helpful. The shocking thing is how clean the room was, it was spotless. Kudos to the team really. Breakfast was standard affairs but cooked and tasted well, with a form to simplify ordering while maximising flexibility and minimising waste.

May be it's the time of the year there were louder music around but quieted down towards the more reasonable sleeping hours, I suspect with the help of the staff.

Great location for exploring the harbour area, seafront and town. Nice breakfast ordered from the table each morning and served in a lovely "old school" fashion. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in single rooms which were small but included everything needed and were excellent value for money. Hotel bar was lively with a singer performing on Saturday evening. There was also live music aimed at an older audience in the hotel function room which was entertaining. Plenty of bars close by. We booked a space in the Hotel garage which worked well.

Nothing to mention.

Great location right in the centre of the harbour area by the bridge. Very helpful staff, who were able to move me to a better room when asked. Room was very comfortable and kept clean. And although there is severely limited onsite parking (3 spaces?) the discounted parking at the nearby Britannia Car Park (5 mins) works well, reception code the disk you get at the car park so you only pay £6 for a full 24 hours stay. Breakfast was very good, a lot of choices, hot and cold. Good service.

Nothing really, guests in room next to my first room very noisy, but then it is an old hotel. Reception moved me to a better quieter room so all good. Noise from outside pretty common, on into early hours but then you are in the main clubs/pubs drag up to the bridge.

We very much liked the location, a few steps out and you have a lovely view of the quay stood by the bridge. Handy little shops right on your doorstep.

Slightly inconvenience having to hand in your bedroom key in to reception every time you want to exit the building. Sometimes we would have to wait in a queue to hand in and to ask for it back. I understand why they want to do it this way (fire reasons) but this has to the one only hotel I’ve come across that does this. One little problem we noticed which can be a quick fix, the hall way doors need to be adjusted on the close…they slam loudly when someone passes through. Not everyone manually closes the door slowly & quietly behind them.
