To be originally told no rooms would be ready for us to freshen up in due to arriving early for our family wedding I was delighted 1 room was in fact ready which was fabulous for all of us to use and leave our bags in. The hotel was close to the wedding venue which made our stay more relaxed Lovely breakfast along with vegetarian options, overall we were very well looked after, lovely staff

I can't fault our stay at the hotel but if I had to pick up on anything it would be the noise of the traffic during the night coming from the countryside in Devon we were just not used to it, saying that it didn't spoil our stay and would definitely stay at The Old Court Hotel again.

Friendly cheerful and helpful staff, warm clean and quiet rooms with comfortable beds in a charming and quirky historic character building, delicious food in the restaurant, convenient location in the middle of town, free on site parking is a bit crowded sometimes.

Bathrooms were scruffy in all 4 rooms I stayed in, with a lack of hooks to hang things on, loose, broken or missing towel rails, lights, basin plugs or trim, stained silicon and grout in certain spots. Water pressure was great in some rooms and poor in others. They all really need refurbing.

4 poster bed! Great decor. Clean, comfortable, super snug overnight stay in Witney Town centre. Parking in courtyard on site, tricky entrance from the mini roundabout and not lots of space but enough for 5 cars. Walking distance into town.

Ensuite bathroom looked tired. Lighting is low/yellow and the bath panel was loose. Hot water for bath - good supply, but no cold water available to mix it with. The plug didn't hold the water in either, it kept dropping out. Covid-19 notices are still on display as per self-isolation rules, but clearly now out of date and no longer relevant.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Slightly sceptical after reading reviews, but was pleasantly surprised! Quick and easy check in, staff were friendly. Was shown up to room, on walking in, loved the four poster bed. This was super comfortable. Had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time… the decor is quite dated.. but that’s to be expected.. this place dates back to…some things could be updated,(usb plugs and the like) but that’s not necessary. It’s sort of antique/vintage! The whole suite was great tbh.. there were stairs down to the bathroom and the big spa bath, which was lovely.

My only thing I would say.. is if you are in a rush to get out, and want to use the spa bath, start filling early, it takes a little while to fill! But it was lovely… Parking is limited, but worked fine for me :)

Very clean. Staff happy to fetch some more coffee for the room when asked. Room had everything you would need. The properly itself downstairs is really lovely and cosy, the breakfast room was vibrant and nice to eat in. The covered terrace between the reception and our room was very pleasant. The room felt private enough as it was across a courtyard. A big car park for the hotel was also a bonus.

The room was a bit basic. It was a little smaller than expected. We did have to ask for some more coffee sachets after only using one each.

Easy parking though entrance a little difficult to access. The curry was very good. Easy to access rooms after hours. Bottled water in room a nice touch.

Needs some attention to detail. I made booking and was first to arrive but was given the smallest room. Breakfast served on a cold plate. No paper towels in downstairs bar area and lights not put on. Before checkout time and hoovers outside room.. could wait till appointed time. Decor ready to be refreshed. Notifications in room presented poorly more like student digs then hotel. Two steps carpeted outside rooms, no warning so tripped up. But we would go again with what we know now.

amazing staff!, very friendly and helpful. The gentlemen at reception even carried my bags upstairs. They are honest people 'old school' with very good manners and respect - the way is used to be! To top it: when I forgot a small item in the room after check-out, by the time I called they had already put it aside and were kind enough to post it to me immediately! Regarding the place itself: I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the room was and I did not hear anything from downstairs.

Clean, comfortable, and value for money. Having read mixed reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. It's not luxurious, and there are a few maintenance issues, but our room, although small, was perfectly adequate. It was clean, the ensuite also, very clean. Tea and coffee, biscuits, and bottled water in our room. The TV worked. We had dinner in the restaurant and service very good, food and wine exceptional. No complaints at all. Oh, and free parking at the hotel!

They have a Ghurka restaurant as part of the hotel. I was in heaven.

The room was very outdated, needs a good make over, towels well used, they could do with replacing, and it was hot over night (not the hotels fault obviously) but a fan in the room would have been a good addition. However the room was clean.

The staff were lovely. It was clean and comfortable. The food was very good and reasonably priced. For a pleasant and easy stay, I'd recommend.

A generator turned on every morning outside our room which was noisy and woke us up earlier than we'd have liked. It is in need of a an update but for a no thrills, comfortable, clean and nice place to stay with very lovely staff, I'd highly recommend. Especially for such a reasonable price
