The location for us was perfect as the only available property in the area. Staff were very welcoming.

We booked this property after looking at the website and wanted to experience the food on offer only to be told they were not serving food due to no chef. Pity the web site did not tell us this before we booked as we were looking forward to eating there. Breakfast was a basic continental with no other offering. On the last morning we went elsewhere to get a cooked breakfast.

We had a lovely large room, with a comfy bed & plenty of space & convenient plug sockets. Nice classic decor. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with nice coffee. Great location right in the middle of Wivi.

The buffet breakfast is good but a wider choice of pastries, rather than just croissants would be nice & perhaps a pancake or waffle maker as another option to toast. That’s only a minor grumble though - overall everything was great.

Great location for a few days break with free parking at the hotel and in the nearby public carpark. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and beds very comfortable. Great food in the restaurant and nice bar.

Need to be aware that there are lots of quite narrow stairs up to the rooms. Our ensuite shower room was slightly chilly as it didn't have heating. Local shops other than the Coop all seems to shut around lunchtime/early afternoon on Saturdays. No coffee shops open on Sundays.

Bar and restaurant area was charming, we stayed after a long day of exploring, and didn't intend on eating there. Ended up doing three courses and wow, was so delicious, great menu, blown away! The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We manged to park across the street, we were advised the rooms were undergoing some updating and this was a work in progress but we were very pleased with the room. Spacious and comfortable!

Shower pressure was disappointing.

The food and hospitality at The White Hart was excellent. I had Chicken Supreme with truffle mash and French beans, followed by chocolate mousse with homemade biscotti, caramel sauce and raspberries. It was absolutely delicious.

My sister and I loved the twin room, and it would be even better if a previous guest had not forced the cold tap, so it now swivels. The water pressure in the shower is a little slow.

This place is incredibly good value and in a brilliant location. The food at dinner was a revelation - even the waiter said that the chef is a magician. There were stairs down to the bathroom, so not perhaps suitable if guests have mobility problems. There is a good continental but no cooked breakfast and currently this is payable at the property but, as we'd booked a while ago, ours was included. Given the price, this is understandable.

Great pub /hotel. lovely room and bedding. recent refurb evident. Nice location with car park on site. Very nice staff ,welcoming .

Restaurant closed on night we arrived, apparently this is a regular closure on Mondays and Tuesdays..food available from "sister" pub opposite. Room was great but up three flights of stairs . We are in our 70s and not easy with bags . No cooked breakfast ,but continental breakfast , but advised a cooked breakfast was available at sister pub across road., but you have to pay. Not possible to pay extra to exchange the continental breakfast for a cooked breakfast at sister pub.

Bed , for us could have been improved with foam mattress or topper as bit too hard ( for back condition) - temporary solution found with extra duvets over mattresses. Minor irritation /inconvenience - no toilet rolls provided on second night and had to go to reception to get.

shower didnt work, but my room was changed instantly and without fuss. I stayed in a twin single bed room , very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfy. House keeping inquired every morning if there was anything i needed.

very creaky floors........but it is a very old building. noisy doors......you could here most people coming and going. An iron would have been useful.

Rooms had missing items that were advertised on there web site No iron No ironing board No mini fridge Window handle broke when trying to close First morning for breakfast 1 croissant, bruised fruit, 2 different types of cereal , yogurts and bread We paid for breakfast at the pub opposite the following morning Our room was at the front of the property opposite the Co-Op food store both morning we were woken up at 6am when they had there delivery’s as it was to hot to close the windows a fan in the room would have been very helpful
