Our bedroom, 'The Nest' was spacious and homely. The lounge area was fantastic with enough space for us to spread out and appreciate the massive television. Super little fridge stocked with a bottle of milk (none of those tiny little milk portions) and water bottles. The mugs were proper mug size - anyone who enjoys their first tea or coffee in the morning will appreciate these details. Bed linen and towels were superb. We had to leave before 7am, so we were provided with three breakfast platters for the morning: croissant, jam, Parma ham, selection of cheeses and fruit - incredible quality and quantity! Our evening meal was a simple fish and chips but it was cooked to perfection and the tartare sauce was the best we've tasted! Thank you so much, we had a lovely stay with you and would definitely return again!

Very clean, very nice staff. Lovely continental breakfast, cooked breakfast not available until 9.30 a.m. Evening meals very good and reasonably priced. Double room, step down into bedroom, limited space to one side of bed, radiator not working very well but alternative provided immediately. bed ok. Big step down into bathroom opposite sink! Hot water and radiator. Loo seat held on by one fixing, shower loose on wall.

Steps down into bedroom and bathroom. Cooked breakfast is not available until 9.30 a.m. Very limited space one side of king size bed, double might be better? The radiator is not working very well.

Lovely, characterful inn not far from Wellington with spacious well equipped rooms. We were in the Monument which had a little kitchen area, a dining area and sofa bed, a lovely separate bedroom and nice bathroom. Lots of nice touches, for example, fresh milk in the fridge and a jar of homemade cookies in our room. Very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and reasonably priced. Excellent ales and beers. The breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Black out lining would be good on the curtains and the bed was a bit soft for me. Having said that, we were very comfortable and slept well.

He breakfast was great as was the food in the evenings. Very happy overall and will probably stay there again.

The only thing I can think of that could have been better was the fact that there was some quiet loud talking going on fairly nearby but it is a village pub so not too worried as the other nights were fine.

Very comfortable, staff all very friendly and welcoming, nice garden to sit in and drink the excellent wine. Advertises itself as "dog-friendly" and we were very happy to see some lovely dogs too! Excellent coffee at breakfast!

The only thing I would mention that the (excellent) breakfast seemed to have everything exactly counted out (e.g. three pats of butter for two people, eight slices of bread by the toaster when there ten people having breakfast.....) but I'm sure we'd have been able to get more if we had asked!

Staff friendly, helpful, welcoming. Beautiful location and a lovely pub historic pub. Accommodation was tasteful and we were fortunate to have a huge room overlooking the Beautiful countryside and beer garden. Comfortable bed, hot shower and bath. Nice touches with local tea, coffee and milk provided. 2 large smart tvs with Netflix etc! We've left a couple of novels to start a read and swap!

Nothing of significance. If being really picky, just lacking a couple of things likea couple of sharp knives, a chopping board and a blanket.

Lovely friendly quaint pub with secluded garden. Ideal large family room with separate bedroom. We had a lovely evening meal and everything was very relaxed. Exactly as described and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I was in the area.

Had main meal and dessert and both delicious, pre-ordered breakfast, cooked perfectly, choice of bread would have been nice, but still excellent value. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough, they forgot to put toiletries in my room and actually went out to get some as they had run out, nothing was too much trouble - outstanding - thank you. Comfortable bed, room not too hot (pet hate), one of my best sleeps when away from home.

Everything was fine but could have done with a space to sit and do hair and makeup, the room was small but with some careful planning it would be easy to sort out.

clean , comfortable and convenient for visiting my family. very friendly and welcoming. pub looked lovely, but unfortunately this stay we didn’t use it.

more info could be provided like Wi-Fi password etc, but I know I would have been given it if I had asked- it’s just I never actually saw anyone during my time there as I spent most of my time with family elsewhere . one room was very close to me and I heard everything- likewise they probably heard me - unfortunately I got the cold whilst there so developed a cough and was very conscious I was probably keeping others awake

The room was nice and clean. All the amenities, toiletries and drinks facilities were good. Dinner was excellent and served in the restaurant area and the menu provided a good choice of options. Breakfast was also very good with a good choice of options available. The food was excellent quality and we thoroughly enjoyed both our meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the service was very good.
