Located right by the famous octagonal Yarn Market and in sight of the Castle, which is a couple of hundred yards away, the staff of this traditional hotel make you feel very welcome, not least because of a generous full English breakfast.

Parking anywhere in Dunster is a challenge. There is a large pay car park a couple of hundred yards away where you can leave your car once you’ve dropped your bag. That said, I managed to park on both nights of our stay free of charge on the street.

Excellent location, public car park a few minutes walk away. £6.40 all day. Traditional breakfast available, the cooked one nicely cooked, not greasy and plenty of it. Cereal also available. Staff were very courteous, nothing too much trouble. Asked for mugs for our room instead of the paper ones provided as we were staying for 4 nights - supplied straight away. Bedroom good though bed could have been bigger. Nice hot shower. Everything very clean.

Fabulous location looking down on the Yarnmarket. Room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was excellent, with both continental and cooked available. All staff really friendly and helful

My only comment is that rooms are not serviced at all, not even bins emptied due to COVID. This just seems a little outdated now. You can request toiletries, tea, coffee etc, and even a rubbish bag which is then left outside the bedroom door. We were only there a couple of days so it didn't matter.

The location is right in the heart of the village but quiet. Car parking at Dunster Deep was £6 per 24 hours and only 5 minutes walk away. The hotel layout is quirky, but has everything you want and the staff were great. The menu was adequate and the food excellent and produced very quickly, especially if you preordered at the time of reservation.

Superb location near the castle and not far from the race we were doing on Saturday. Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. They served us a quick breakfast before the race as the opening hours were limited. Welcome was great too.

Breakfast only from 8am to 9am which is not great and not mentioned to us before arrival on site. Room was not 100% clean as we had crumbs on the floor. Not enough plugs in the twin room as all taken by alarm clock, kettle,TV and side bedlamp(which was not working). Overrated price and not a 3 star hotel.

Excellent breakfast. Good choice of cereal, items for cooked breakfast, toast, marmalade etc. In fact everything you could want in a full English breakfast.

Our room was at the top of the building, up several flights of very narrow stairs, difficult to carry up a suitcase. The weather was very hot, the room did have a an electric fan, but was hot and airless. Also evening meals were fine but nothing special. Sunday evening was roast pork, just a couple of slices of pork, no crackling, no roast potatoes. Adequate but not a typical Sunday roast.

The location is fantastic, free parking is available after busy part of day and reasonably charged parking only a couple of minutes walk We booked a meal in the restaurant and food was lovely and the staff service very good. Great breakfast too with everyone very helpful

Loved the location of the hotel in the lovely setting of Dunster. Shame about the parking Staff friendly and helpful . Sadly could not accommodate us for dinner as it they had finished service , which we thought was quite early.They did however recommend a pub.

Just the lack of parking.. but a busy place

The hotel.had a lot of character and a large and comfortable bedroom with a large bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful

The property was fine as I expected. The room was nice and I could get the lift to the room as promised as I had a hip problem.

Couldn’t park close by. Even the disabled space was taken by a big white van without a badge. I managed to park in car park nearby.
