Sharon and Keith were very friendly hosts. Breakfast was great with too much on offer. The rooms are decorated with lots of knick-knacks. Although parking is not on the property, it is easy to park around the back at the paid car park. The place is very central, and it is easy to walk around town to visit restaurants or the Co-op.
The bed was a bit small and the mattress worn out on the sides, meaning one tended to roll off to the outside. There are lots of knick-knacks around, which add to the appeal of the room, but one must be aware of not knocking anything over!

We booked to stay here prior to a wedding venue close by. It’s a nice quirky place in the centre of Watchet. We arrived and phoned the number of the Georgian House and Sharon, the Housekeeper, came to let us in. Sharon is the ‘star of the show’. She welcomed us, showed us to our rooms, gave us all the information we needed to know about the place and the plan for breakfast the next morning. As a couple, we had the yellow room on the second floor, a double with an en-suite, with a shower over the bath. My mother-in-law had the blue room on the same floor, a smaller double, but with a walk-in shower which would be a preference if we returned. As it’s an old house the plumbing is via macerators, so it can be a bit noisy. The rooms, beds and pillows were clean and comfy. The breakfast was fresh orange juice, tea or coffee and cereals and a cooked English breakfast to order by the owner - bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms, hash brown, tomato, beans and toast. Sharon was again on hand, serving and keeping us entertained, and we found that it’s a small world with common interests and places we’ve lived and visited. Before we left Sharon showed us the fab red suite on the first floor - a king sized bedroom, a dressing room and a lovely large shower room with a bidet, overlooking the rear courtyard. Not forgetting to mention, there is also an annexe courtyard room. This place has lots of returning guests, with rooms they don’t even advertise, but people come to stay again and again.
The plumbing - but not a deal breaker.

We stayed in a fantastic 74-square-meter suite. Everything was beautifully designed and of high quality—from the duvets to the towels. The bed was large and very comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the garden outside was lovely. Everything felt truly luxurious. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, all in a stunning dining room. Parking the car was also easy.

The house is as colourful as the host. The rooms are very period and adorned with oil paintings and mirrors. It’s like a museum to middle class late 1800’s. Sleigh beds, shuttered windows and roll top baths set an impressive standard rarely captured in today’s clinical bed factories that Lenny Henry raves about. Breakfast is the highlight. Toast racks, sugar spoons, tea pots and ramekins of (probably home made ) jams and reserves. Delicious full English - with beans! Very clean throughout. Half expected to see Winston Churchill in the guest book. Loved it. If you can, book the red room….

The breakfast was superb and a good choice on offer. Cooked breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Room really comfortable and all amenities you would require. Keith & Sharon were absolutely lovely people and so friendly and great hosts. Made us very welcome. Lovely charming building and decor. Great location, lovely town. Everyone friendly.
The only one comment is that the en suite toilet had a pump which was a little noisy when it activated.

This is a unique hotel with a very warm welcome from Keith and Sharon. The rooms are spacious and the decor is in keeping with the beautiful property. The breakfast cooked by Keith is tasty and superb. The location in the centre of Watchet is perfect for getting to all that is available in this lovely seaside village. The public car park at the rear of the property could not be handier. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing break here and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone

Had a wonderful stay at the very beautiful and charming Georgian House, it's like a home from home smack bang in the centre of Watchet Harbour Town. Keith and Sharon make a great team, are very personable and welcoming. My room had a very comfy bed and was nice and clean. Keith cooked up an excellent breakfast, whilst Sharon tended to everyones needs. You want for nothing. I will absolutely stay again, that's if I can get booked in. I've tried in the past and it's always fully booked.

Breakfast was amazing.
Two small points, I personally was very hot during the night due to a very high quality thick duvet so kept waking up unfortunately. Also, it's an old building therefore the sash windows rattled during the night, rectified by a small piece of card!! Housekeeper and owner are so welcoming and you feel really looked after, just what we needed.
