The location is very good. Perfect restaurants around and it’s near the mall.

Needs maintenance in the bathroom. Because when you are showering you will feel the area is not clean. But it’s because of the lack of maintenance. The same in the pool area in the rooftop. Also the photos of the property are professional, so this causes the famous expectation and reality. The rooms are big and comfortable. The stuff is very nice. The breakfast is very good. It needs just a bit of maintenance. That’s why I took the review to 8. But this hotel has potential to be 10!

Loved the location, 3 blocks from Punta Carretas shopping, plenty of restaurants, 1 block from Devoto groceries, 5 mins walk to the Rambla, and 15 mins walk to Pocitos area. Got a spacious upgraded room with a little pantry equipped with a microwave and tableware.

The floor in the room needs a good scrub. Worn out bed, not so soft anymore and uneven. Breakfast area needs more tables as it gets very full around 9.30am and needs more varieties, only 3 hot options: roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs and sliced quiches. Only one type of juice, but the pastries and fruits were nice though.

The hotel is in a nice safe area, very close to Punta Carreras shopping centre where you can get a bus (121) down to the old town, lots of restaurants and the sea. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Big comfy bed, basic kitchenette facilities, a small roof terrace pool to cool off. The buffet breakfast was great - a good range of hot and cold, lovely staff. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful when we had a problem with our air conditioning (which until this point worked excellently) and gave us another room and partial refund for the inconvenience.

It would have been nice to have a few sun loungers on the roof terrace and the black plastic armchairs were too hot to sit on! It's useful to have some Spanish as staff aren't all English speaking

Comfortable hotel; nice staff; stayed in a family room. The king bed was comfortable, the twin beds a bit hard. Everything was clean.

Needs renovations, especially the elevators, which stopped working twice during our stay. AC also stopped working, but the hotel fixed it the same day. The timing of room service (cleaning) was a bit odd, as I expected the room would be cleaned while we were gone during the morning and early afternoon , but if I returned at 4PM, the room was still undone.

A nice hotel. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from. The area is really nice as well, I recommend staying in Punta Carretas. We had a special request and we were helped by a lovely manager, Ahmed - thank you again, we really appreciate it. Thank you for the perfect stay!:)

I had a nearly 2 weeks stay at Vivaldi hotel. I was working part time and then enjoying Montevideo. The hotel has an excellent location for Montevideo. During the couple of weeks I managed to study well the city, and learned that the hotel has an excellent location. What was most important to me is simply that things worked. Room clean and neat. Breakfast decent. Internet great. But I must say that the staff was most likely the best thing of may stay. Super welcoming, friendly, and assisting if there was anything. There was like a 24 hour availability of the staff. Well, I staid for couple of weeks, so I got to know them a bit. Lucula, Christian, Martin and José, all did very well! Then Cesar aided me around the building, if I needed (going to the pool, gym and etc).

Really nothing that I can point finger at! It just worked!

Great location. Loved having a balcony. Breakfast was fine.

This isn't a high end boutique hotel. It needs a bit of TLC (tender loving care), painting, refresh some furnishings. They also leave the cleaning cart in the hall all day! Not cool. And with only two small elevators, they used one for service at prime time when people were going to breakfast and checking out. The room was smaller than it looked in the photos.

The concierge team, Karina and Ahmed, were amazing, very helpful and welcoming, and always listened to ones day out. Not very welcoming. was the Manager. The housekeeper, Veronica, was also amazing.

The caterers for breakfast—the team were lovely; they could have rated the breakfast for something different; it does get boring if you are there for 3 weeks.

Great location and mostly friendly staff. The rooftop pool is nice and very clean although my main complaint is the lack of loungers and shade. Basically there are a few chairs that are extremely uncomfortable and if it's sunny you can't sit out by the pool as it's way too hot. There is a patio beside the gym which is shady in the afternoon. The view from the rooftop is great for sunset drinks. The area around the hotel is great and very safe. There is a modern mall about 5 minutes walk and some amazing restaurants in the area. I highly recommend the mexican restaurant La Chingada which about 5 min walk - was one of the best meals we had on our trip. There is a convenience store across the street with a good selection of wine, beer and snacks.

The restaurant staff are fairly typical by South American hotel standards - meaning that they mostly ignore you until you wave to them four times. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night as we arrived fairly late and regretted it as the food was pretty uninspiring. Breakfast was pretty good but the coffee was awful.

A really great 30-day experience staying at Vivaldi. The location was perfect. Close to everything, but with a nice neighborhood vibe. My room and rooftop pool decks had a nice view. The room and bathroom were spacious, with lots of "counter" space. Mini-kitchenette was a well-appreciated feature, especially for a longer stay. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of choices. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. I would definitely stay here again.

The Vivaldi would definitely be a 10 or 10+ with updated linens. They were a bit worn.
