The hotel is historic and beautiful. Rooms were tastefully decorated and we loved the rooftop bar. The staff was exceptionally friendly. Although, they only had valet parking, public parking was visible and convenient from the entrance.

The hotel is old so noise is definitely an issue. We forgot our fan so we could hear everything. We were at the end of the hallway so I cant imagine being close to the elevators. It would probably be fine with a noise machine or fan running. There's really nothing they can do, due to the age of the building, but we could hear the elevators every time they moved. We could also hear the other guests doors whenever they were closed. It wouldn't deter us from staying again, but I wanted to mention to anyone who is sensitive to these things.

We have stayed at several hotels in Birmingham over the past couple years but the Redmont has become our favorite stay. We had a similar great experience at another Curio property in Midtown Atlanta for my wife's 50th Birthday. We now seek out the Curio brand when making travel plans. The proximity of the property to excellent restaurants within walking distance

The favorite part of the property is the roof top deck. its our favorite routine to grab a drink and watch sunset before we walk to dinner. Hilton should continue to make this space a "shiny penny". Older properties are tough and expensive to maintain but the character cannot be matched. a reno of the rootop bar would be the only thing I would change. Parking sucks there but the hotel seems to manage it as best as possible.

Could have been cleaner in some respects. Specifically baseboards, walls, light switches. Also some areas really could use new paint.

All the staff, except for the first attendant in the front desk, were very friendly.and helpful.

We arrived afrom Nashville at 4 AM, and we were received by a disrespectful attendant in the front desk, she made us felt very uncomfortable.

Things were clean, the bathroom was wonderful and well set up. Hot water lasted forever. Convenient parking, and the restaurant was great!

There were a few stains on the comforter. The elevators were a little rickety, but it is an older building so we were expecting that.

Clean, welcoming and super helpful. We did have a minor issue but it was very quickly resolved with no effort on my part,. also I did not feel like a burden to the staff if I needed anything. they were truly wonderful!

The bar and bartender were excellent. very comfortable and friendly The breakfast was incredible and the waitress was exceptional. I told her what my time limits were and she made sure I had a wonderful breakfast and was out on time.

They had no shop to speak of. I needed some allergy meds and they had nothing to offer. i was without a car and there was no place within walking distance to buy allergy meds.

Location was great. Very close to where I needed to go.

My room smelled damp and the bed was as comfortable as preferred.

Location! We went to Avondale Brewary for a concert. It was in a perfect location to walk around downtown. We enjoyed the rooftop bar too.

Nobody restocked our coffee for the next day while we were gone all day. There wasn't any complimentarty coffee downstairs. Its not a big deal but it was the worst thing that happend.
