The room was clean, it DIDN'T smell like cigarettes or pot, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure was excellent, the TV & AC worked well, and it had a mini fridge & microwave. Really, that's all I need in a hotel room when traveling for art festivals. Yes, the decor is outdated and could use some sprucing up but I appreciate finding an inexpensive hotel with the all essentials (as listed above) in great condition and couldn't care less about the decor.

One of the lights was out so I had to use my cellphone flashlight to find a light when I first entered. Also, I was happy to find an extension cord to plug my phone into but had to fight with the bed to plug it into the outlet behind the bed.

I loved the old school look of a traditional motel. I was a little apprehensive at first afraid of what was lying behind the door of the room (I’ve seen some pretty dirty hotels in my days that should have been condemned, but yet were still operating). This had to have been one of the cleanest hotels that I’ve been in for how old the place was. You can tell that the owners of this establishment really take pride and have a love for what they do.

I love the old world charm and how well it’s been kept up. I found myself at times thinking to myself, “If only these walls could talk, I wonder what they would say?” People say that it’s not located in the best part of town, but in the 4 nights that I was there I didn’t see anyone walking the streets or felt unsafe at any time.

I have stayed in this hotel for years...the Indian family knows me...close to everything downtown..the Civil Rights Institute, have to walk a little to get to food establishments, excellent hospitality, cable, wifi, bed...everything has been updated...I will return

Sometimes there are vagrants..on the streets downtown...just ignore them..they will NOT harm you..it is best to return here before dark if walking like me..not that anything has happened..just a safety precaution

The property and room was very clean. This motel is very close to the interstate. Very.

The only thing not to like was the location - because the area was a bit rundown, but that is no fault of the owners/management. We felt very secure, the parking lot and building in general is very well lit.

If I would have stayed longer in the room I wouldn't have liked the TV channels. I could only find a couple and no local channels.

Súper nice beds. We’ve been traveling for a week , and this was, by far, our best night ‘s sleep. The little live seat in the room was nice.

We were a bit unsure about the neighborhood, although the easy access to the interstate was a definite plus. Also, few more outlets would have been good.

Basic accommodations without frills but is nonetheless an exceptional value: the room was clean and the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location is a plus: right off the interstate and super close to downtown.

Room was just a tiny bit damp/musty-smelling upon entering, but running the air conditioner for a few minutes remedied the situation very well.

Very friendly staff that help us get more towels and made it easy to extend our stay an extra day because of car problems.

Really small bathroom. The pillows were uncomfortable.

IT was in a bit of a sketchy area of town and really confusing and difficult to get to, BUT, so nice and clean! Staff was very nice and very helpful. The price was great and I did feel safe there.
