Everything was fun. We were informed upon arrival that check-in would not be possible for a few more hours, but the front desk staff reassured us that the room would be ready shortly. Additionally, check-in was very straightforward, and we received our key in a matter of seconds. The apartment is on the second story (main floor), and it has a gate on the patio just a few steps from the outdoor space and pool.

The building's proximity to an empty construction site was the only thing I could say that was unexpected, but it didn't affect my stay in the least. I was still able to capture the photos I was looking forward to around the building. The apartment was well-maintained. The detached bathroom’s bathtub was cleaned, but the discoloration gave the impression that it was unclean. Again, it did not affect my stay, but I did snap a photo as a precaution. Another thing was that I spent the majority of my time indoors wearing white socks, and I did see that the floors could have been mopped more thoroughly given that my socks were dirty, but this was easily fixed by washing them.

For the price, it's tremendous value. The apartments are very large and there's plenty of space for personal items. The pool area is very nice--and gives enough space/chairs to lounge and relax. It's great to have a washer/dryer in the unit. I really enjoyed being across from the mall--and the area was very nice for walking the dog.

The kitchen is barely stocked--not enough basics to really prep and cook a meal. It's a huge space with one empty cabinet after another. The carpet was stained in my room. And, bathroom sinks barely drained. The hallways felt a bit dingy for my taste, but manageable. The driverless vehicles all over Scottsdale creeped me out.

Sentral Old Town is centrally located in the heart of Scottsdale. Within walking distance, you will find a high-end mall, bars, restaurants, and more. Sentral has all that you expect from a hotel but without the hefty price tag. And Sentral has more: an apartment instead of a small room, a full kitchen, and even a washer and dryer in the apartment. Tip: Sentral has a pool but no bar or restaurant on-site. Take an insulated water bottle and fill it with your preferred drink. When you get hungry, you can order through a whole bunch of different delivery services. Or you can use the free barbeques that are available in the courtyard. Finally, for those arriving by plane, download the Waymo One app and sign up. Waymo is a driverless car service that is excellent and, for now, very price-efficient. The wait times are minimal, and the service is excellent. One time, we had to wait three minutes more than indicated, and we immediately got a discount voucher for the next ride. Waymo is consistently good, with Uber or Lyft you have to wait to see what the car looks like and how good the driver is.

Being able to walk right out of our suite to the pool and hot tub was very convenient. The location to Old Town was excellent.

Very minimal supplies in the suite, there were only 2 bath towels provided, would have been nice to have two pool towels as well. There were no extra blankets or pillows either. 2 rolls of toilet paper, two singles of laundry soap. The toilet paper holder was just hanging on the wall, obviously not installed correctly. The shower had obvious water damage outside of the shower and was in obvious need of repair. There was complimentary shampoo provided in the shower but there were two shampoos and no conditioner. Some of these issues could be resolved by calling the front desk. Parking was expensive.

Ideally located across from the Fashion Square, this short-stay rental place has everything one needs. Besides a well laid out apartment, you have a great gym and nice outdoor swimming pool inside a courtyard where you will find gas bbq as well (free usage) There are multiple workspaces with all the facilities you can imagine for those working. There is even a conference room for a bigger crowd. On the fifth floor is another entertainment room with a sun deck. Even though you will have minimal contact with the staff, they are always there to help you. We did not have to use the lockbox system to obtain our key. Susan helped us with the check-in and out process. She is a star concierge. The apartments have all the facilities that you need in an apartment. The washer and dryer allow you to travel light as you have them right at your fingertips in the apartment (we took some of those washing sheets in our bag from home) You can walk to the old town in minutes, but if that is not what you want, an Uber costs $5-7. When you are lucky, Uber sends a Waymo driverless car. The first time, it is getting used to, but after that, you do not want anything different. In the Old Town of Scottsdale, you will find many food options. No one will leave hungry or feel left out. When you stay longer and like to do supermarket shopping, you have two options nearby. Sprouts is a more exclusive one and is about a 10-minute walk away. Alternatively, you can go to Safeway, which is maybe a 15-20-minute stroll away. Next to Safeway is Randy's, probably one of the better, down-to-earth breakfast and lunch places. Even though Fashion Square is an excellent shopping place, get to Kierland Commons. You will find more locals here and might even catch a celebrity. Scottsdale is not poor, as reflected in the shops and restaurants you will find here. Be smart and check out fo the Happy Hours. This can save you a ton of money.

CHECK -IN process was not user friendly...Lack of communication , we arrived after 11 pm because of late flight and rental car pick up ..every communication was by text and it took quite long to get the answer. Specilally for seniors it was very COMPLICATED, why they have DEPARTURE DATE ...while CHECKING -IN, no one has that , it should be arrival date, than many times they asked the ID, it should be done in advance. WE HAD TO WAIT IN COLD WEATHER FOR all these long complicated process.. not easy, THERE IS NO ONE TO TALK TO... Also at the desk no one picks up the phone...communication should be easy.... LOVE the place, it's beautiful, It should be AS EASY AS CHECK OUT. It was excellent . WISH you have CHECK-IN PROCESS more easy and user friendly.

The location was fantastic. Right in the centre of Scottsdale old town, with the huge Fashion Square Mall just over the road and lots of places to eat and drink. Our one bedroom apartment was far better than we expected with a spacious and light feel, the bedroom was large with a walk in closet. The bathroom had excellent water pressure for the shower. The kitchen had a full size oven and hob, a separate microwave and a large fridge/freezer. We were issued full instructions just before our arrival which initially seemed very complicated but actually it was all very easy. Parking is available but you must book ahead of your visit and there is a charge.

Just a couple of observations, there were very few glasses available in the kitchen cupboards. No cutlery basket in the dishwasher. And I really do feel a bigger duvet should be on the king size bed. It was just big enough to lay exactly on the top of the bed. Also, bigger pillows would be more comfortable, they seemed very small.

The apps were a wee bit challenging at first my only criticism was Booking.com is not available to speak to directly, I tried texting, emailing, etc. During my my stay my mother passed away suddenly and I had to depart early and I had hoped for some flexibility on this. I never heard from them and is was disconcerting.

The apartments are attractive and very clean. Reasonably well stocked. The common areas are modern and inviting, also very clean.

This is not a conventional hotel, so don’t expect staff. Check in and check out and parking are basically done through apps and managed electronically. Having said this, there is a staff person at a front desk who is obliging. While the location is generally good in terms of easy access to restaurants, shopping, old town, the “waterfront”, the building sits on the edge of a very large fenced off construction site. Not a particularly attractive view.

The place was large and clean and thankfully (as I was a bit too close to the pool, so my place was not that private), there were lots of different seating areas on the property to go hang out vs. the place I rented for the week. And I liked that it was walking distance to everything (like Old Town, restaurants, grocery store, the health and wellness spa I was going to, etc.).

While it was by the pool, it was a bit too close to the pool (which the pool area is very small); so not as private as expected, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, it was nice to have a washer and dryer, however there was really no laundry detergent to utilize it. And, don't get me started on how bad the items were in the kitchen (like the sponge) and 2 days of coffee (for a 7 day stay) and very minimal dishwater, etc.
