This is our favorite place to stay when we are doing business in Silicone Valley! It's always nice and cool when we walk into the hotel and it smells really good. Great customer service. They must take care of their employees, because Raul has been helping us for the last 5/6 years, and he is always happy and helpful. Spacious rooms. Great lighting in the bathrooms to do make-up. This last visit we actually tried the breakfast and it was fantastic. The fresh fruit, pineapple, cantaloupe, blueberries & strawberries, was sweet. The muffins were AMAZING! They also had waffles, eggs, oatmeal and more, which we didn't have time to enjoy, but it smelled very good. My husband and I are never disappointed!

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. All staff we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was so very beautiful and large. Given that it had a historic look I expected it to be a bit rough around the edges, but that was not the case. Everything looked and felt just absolutely perfect. The coffee in the room was delicious and the breakfast in the morning had healthy choices, which we really appreciated (fresh fruit and yogurt, oatmeal, ...). I loved the decor and all the statues ... we even had one in the room. The hotel is fairly close to the Los Gatos Creek Trail and we enjoyed a long walk on the trail.

Everything was fantastic.

I had asked for an upper level room when reserving which was not honored when I checked in. When I pointed that out I was told I would have to wait 20-30 minutes for one which I did. This was after the 3 pm check in time, around 3:45. Have never had this issue previously and I stay there on average once a month. Also key would not work when trying to enter room. Had to return downstairs, suitcases in tow, to remedy this. Also on my check out date I went to breakfast around 8:30 and upon returning to my room my key would not work!! Obviously had to go downstairs AGAIN to get this issue resolved. Seems unnecessary.

The Bristol was a delightful surprise. It is in a convenient location to business I was conducting. I wasn't expecting the deluxe European/Italianate Palazzo decor. If I lived in the area, this would be my romantic anniversary, Valentines Day, birthday place. It is simply exquisite for a reasonable price.

Breakfast was what every free with room motel hotel offers. HOWEVER, grab the bakery quality muffins and two cups of coffee and surprise your sweetheart in bed. Then go out for a fancier brunch 😋 This place is a must do.

Decent free breakfast and beautifully decorated lobby, hallways, rooms. It was an absolute delight. Comfortable beds. Huge living space with refrigerator and a Nespresso espresso machine. It was wonderful.

Some of the employees seemed stressed/distressed so not sure if they are concerned about their pay or working conditions or both. We always leave a tip (at least $10) for cleaning service. It's not much, but we hope if enough people leave something, it helps. Silicon Valley is insanely expensive so I'm not sure where hotel employees, especially the people who clean the rooms are supposed to live.

This Hotel should be called "The Hearst Castle Bristol Hotel." Seriously !!! The inside and Outside of The Bristol is Amazing !!! All of The Staff are incredible. True Story. My husband and I stay at this gem of a hotel 3 times a year. It’s our favorite place to stay when we are working art shows. The hotel is always cool and smells so clean. Raul, who we believe runs the hotel and is ALWAYS there, always looks nice, very welcoming, ask us how we have been and about our business. Very spacious rooms. Excellent rate which included breakfast, comfortable, quiet, clean rooms. I’m sad the hotel has been sold to the city of Campbell, the end of an era, I suppose, bur transitioning to a homeless facility is a good thing and it’s my understanding the furnishings will make their way to the Carlyle Hotel and/or will be donated. The rooms are very spacious. Additionally, they are very quiet. Most hotel rooms have a little gap in the doorway between the bottom of the door and the floor leading to the hallway, but this hotel they seal it off, making the room ultra quiet. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I was there with my sister because she needed to do breast cancer treatments and she was able to get the best rest that she needed during our four night stay. The beds are very firm which is nice. I have never been to San Jose. This was my first time I'm really glad I chose this place as my first hotel. Their breakfast options are great. Plenty of hot foods. Considering the size of the room, cleanliness, and how quiet the rooms are, this is the place that you should definitely choose to stay when you're in San Jose.

Make sure you bring water. There are no vending machines here. Luckily I had 2 gallons unopened in the trunk of the car. But besides that, a very wonderful stay.

The hotel is elegant and very clean. We love the large room and the bedding is luxurious and sparkling white. The pillows are soft and comfortable. The breakfast is included and has many choices from waffles to scrambled eggs, yoghurt and fresh fruit. When we are in San Jose, we always stay at the Bristol. It is close to the Stanford cancer center. There is a cute and good Indian restaurant close by on Camden “The Royal Taj”.

We have not one concern about this hotel.
