Location is great, right next to miles of walking/running/biking trails. Very near highway (accessibility), but still quiet. Rooms have windows/screen doors that OPEN so you can have fresh air at night. Wifi was fast.

Grab and go breakfast is not environmentally friendly (styrofoam, plastic cutlery, juice cans - and there's no recycling on the property).

The staff was friendly. The grounds were tranquil and it was very quiet and comfortable and I also loved the balcony

It was outdated and needs to be renovated. The wood on the deck was aged. I’m not a big fan of carpet in the hallway.

The room size of this hotel is great as well as the location. Also, we were pleasantly surprised to have a nice hot breakfast which consisted of sausage, scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes, oatmeal, fruit. They still have the breakfast burritos if that's what you like but we were happy with the eggs, sausage and potatoes. There were a few issues with our room and addressed them with the evening clerk, in which she was amazing and we were able to resolve them with management before we left, which was awesome.

Well, our purpose staying at this hotel was the restaurant on site, because we had our heart set on eating there to celebrate both of our birthdays. The food was good and we had a great time, but when we arrived to check in, we were told that due to the change of seasons, the restaurant was closed. We had to find another place to eat, which wasn't so bad but it kinda threw off the plans we originally made which were the reasons why we made our reservations.

The breakfast was great. We got there early enough to get the croissant sausage breakfast sandwich. The room was great, nice view of the pool and garden. the location is always good, right off of the highway 17. We had the opportunity to eat dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The food was great. The service was awesome and the drinks were very tasty.

There is only one thing that was slightly awkward which was the shower in Building 1 upstairs, it's very small and when you take a shower, the shower head doesn't hit your body, the water hits the top of your head.

We liked the fact that our room balcony overlooked the mountains and not the events that were taking place the night we stayed. We were able to eat our dinner on the balcony, listen to music and just enjoy the city lights and view In the morning after breakfast, we went upstairs and sat outside on the balcony and enjoyed the view of the mountains. The room itself was very clean and the bed was way more comfortable than the last room we had we we stayed last year. We liked the breakfast!! OMG, last few times we stayed at the lodge, there wasn't much to the "breakfast". It was in the main lobby and by the time we arrived to get the continental breakfast by 8am, there wasn't much left. This time, we were amazed to see the breakfast burritos, sausage biscuits and other variety of things and we got to eat in the restaurant and not have to eat in the room. We're not sure if they went all out because of the events that took place at the hotel that weekend but we enjoyed it. This is what made the cost equal what the lodge had to offer.

What I didn't like was that the bathroom had not hand towels. This is the second time that it's happened. Not sure if they are afraid that people will take them, but we need them to take a shower and wash up. The bathroom could have used some cleaning. The wall by the door was dirty for some reason. It had what it looked like a gray hand mark on the wall and there was a little bit of makeup in a different area by the door. The floor was dirty around the garbage can and behind the toilet.

The property had a lot of open space with beautiful green grass. The property is dated, but that is part of the charm. We had cocktails and appetizers in the bar area and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Parking was easy and the bed was comfortable. The balcony off the back of the room was an added bonus.

The shower head in our room was not detachable and was directed at an odd angle. In the small shower, that made it hard to really get rinsed off. The pool was cloudy and lots of floating leaves.

the Lodge felt a bit like an oasis or island - self-contained and surrounded by trees and greenery (the setting and architectural style reminded me of the Others' community in the TV show "Lost" -- I mean that as a compliment) the grounds are spacious and quite pleasant our room had a comfortable king bed and powerful AC for hot days there is a cool old-school bar (with an affable bartender) as well as a laundry room (with a vending machine where you can buy a single load worth of detergent) the housekeeping staff was professional plenty of parking *in theory you can walk from the Lodge up the hill to Los Gatos Blvd and then into downtown Los Gatos, but those are busy streets

I liked the vintage feel of the compound overall but the downside was our room smelled like 1978 -- as if it had long ago been a smoking room and couldn't quite shake that history a couple of the younger gals working the front desk were a bit frosty

We appreciated that they were able to accommodate our need to have a room on the 1st floor. Our room was the best room we've stayed at while staying at the Lodge and we've stayed quite a few times for the last 5 years or so. Breakfast was good

We had to wait almost 10 minutes for more scrambled eggs to be brought out for breakfast and when they arrived, they were watery like not cooked all the way.
