Loved the location and pool/ courtyard area.

The adult hot tub could have some updated rules to allow 14 and up in with a guardian. My family is made up of a 24, 21 and 15 year old. There was no way we were going to the children’s pool to sit with the jumping 6 and 7 year olds, not relaxing…So we couldn’t enjoy the amenity without leaving my daughter out. We also watched the staff remove some nice kids, probably 16 and 17 years old from the hot tub (they were just sitting quietly with their uncle). The staff made a big unnecessary scene, all guests in the hot tub thought it was ridiculous.

The location is great. Checking out boards and chairs and umbrellas was nice. The grounds are pretty.

Two fireplaces were out of order all week. They should have brought in outdoor heaters like all the restaurants have so we could have enjoyed the outside. The pool was out of order all day one of the days we were there. It was very expensive to stay this week if you’re not an owner.

Loved the location, the grounds, activities, and the staff was very accommodating. It was a relaxing and pleasant get away from our Arizona heat. Every staff member always greeted us when they saw us whether it was outside in the hallways, or the elevator.

The toilet in our Room 246 was SO low, we had to do deep squats to get on it. My husband is 86 yrs and i'm 71, so it was difficult. Also the toilet seat was loose. The rooms need painting and could use a better cleaning in bathroom. The tile baseboards in the bathroom had lots of dust on them and the light fixtures above the sink we're starting to rust. It's beginning to look a little tired.The television in room 246 had problems with the closed captioning, blocking the picture. Not the case in our friends room.

Great location. Beach close by. Could see the ocean from our balcony.

Everything! They had a free margarita bar, hot cocoa bar, and lots of activities! Free bike rentals and free beach chairs. All of the staff had huge smiles and loved their jobs. The property is walking distance to the Carlsbad Village and next to the property was a breakfast restaurant and a Mexican restaurant that 'to go' drinks and happy hour foods! The nicest thing that happened was when our niece and her young twin girls came to visit. They loved the towel origami that was on our bed when we arrived. I asked Iridian, one of the housekeepers, if I could pay for an extra origami. She said that she would get us one, but that we wouldn't be charged for it. Unbelievable hospitality!!!! She brought us three origami so I could give one to our grandson once we got home. The nieces and our grandson love them! Thank you Iridian and Carlsbad Beach Resort Inn!!! It made our visit memorable and we'll be back!!!! Charles

Location was perfect ! Right in the heart of the downtown and close drive to Legoland . We stayed in one of the member owned one bedroom suites . Had a small kitchen , full size fridge and the bed was so comfy.

They don’t have good sound insulation.we stayed in a bottom floor room and it sounded like there was a team of tap dancers upstairs. It’s very loud enough to wake up my infant. Next time we will absolutely request upstairs.

Loved the pool and lush Greenbelt area, jacuzzi was nice all the hotel events. We did ceramic mug painting and dream catcher craft. Love that the bike rental is free we took a long bike ride up the coast.

For the price hotel quest should have continental breakfast even if it’s just a danish or bagel w coffee. The elevator took awhile to catch at times. I took the stairs to avoid waiting long.

Location is great. Steps from the beach with sand washing areas and free equipment rentals. Parking garage below. Everything the town has to offer plus the beach is steps away. Park and forget the car for the whole stay. Parking in SD area is a nightmare anyway.

Everything in SoCal is old so don't expect the resort to be squeaky clean and modern.
