Great location right across from the beach within walking distance to shops and restaurants and Carlsbad Village. Nice breakfast included, and the staff was very friendly. I liked the separate dressing room from the toilet and shower area, that was nice. Nice common patio area that looks off to the ocean where you can sit and have your breakfast and coffee in the morning and see the sunset in the evening. Nice pool.

They don’t do daily room housekeeping, you need to call the front desk if you want your trash emptied or more bath towels. And the air conditioning in the room could’ve worked a little better. Would’ve liked a hot tub. No discount for handicap parking like some of the other hotels do.

great access &view of the beach saw a good deal of marine life in the water and also water fowl flying over head; also many good resteraunts with in close walking distance,the staff treats like brother&sister after all we;ve been coming here for 7or 8years sometimes twice same year !!!!

The staff was amazing and made you feel at home. Everything was so green and clean, and the staff was wonderful even as they were passing through the courtyard to open up doors or to assist you with any of your needs. Location was so convenient and so was the fact that you could get the beach chairs and towels up at the front. You could hear the waves crashing at night, which was so serene

Coffee wasn’t that great even though it was one of those fancy machines and wish the bathrooms could be more updated

The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The hotel is located across a busy street from the beach and the beach had a huge digger machine and piles of sand and was closed. The breakfast was really nice and over looked the ocean. The landscaping in the hotel courtyard is very beautiful. The fire pit is very fun. Our room was nice and quiet. Parking is $19 a night but we were lucky and parked close by on the street.

Super friendly staff, great common areas to relax, swim, watch the ocean. On site covered parking, nice sized refrigerator. Use of umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards. Suoer close to beacholder facil5, but they did a fabulous job of updating all areas, rooms.

Hard to get total blackout at night in rooms. The levour blinds are very nice, but still allow light to peak in.

It was a great location. I loved this place and Carlsbad just across from the beach.. Lovely view .. Parking, breakfast, helpful staff..

The only thing I could say is possibly the trains blowing horns .. If the windows were double glazed, you wouldn't hear it, but by no way did this spoil our holiday ..

Location is amazing, walking distance to beach and the main shopping and dining areas of Carlsbad. Lots of selection at breakfast with a great patio to eat on. We really appreciated the pool and free rental of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc.

One of the attendants at breakfast was a little ornery, seemed unhappy whenever requested to refill anything.

We saw Dolphins every morning!! It was such a treat. We really loved the deck in the morning and evening when we were around to enjoy it. We also loved watching the fire dancers in the lawn from the deck. The staff was so kind and helpful at every turn. We honestly didn’t need a thing but they were very attentive and always offering to help. The sweetest hostess at breakfast even gave my family her own personal apples when my son spied them on a counter that he didn’t realize was not part of the continental breakfast. The common areas were nice! We opted for take in a few times just to enjoy the deck and fire pit with our kids for late night dinners close to the bed!

The coffee in the breakfast room was really bad. I’m not that picky typically but it seemed inedible. I couldn’t figure out the coffee machine in the room but did t ask for assistance so maybe it wasn’t fault. I used it as an excuse to get coffee in town.

Terrific breakfast, great location, room was large, clean and comfortable with adequate lighting. I love the 2nd floor deck to view the ocean, and chairs and table inside for breakfast with great views as well. Appreciate having an elevator to get the bags upstairs.

I payed full price for a room (#48; don't book that one!) with NO view of anything but a wall with the janitorial service closet outside of it. Somewhat noisy with a lot of kids in the pool, which is in the center of the smallish complex, but that would be expected. And now there's a $15/night parking fee!?!

The property has an amazing view of Carlsbad beach. We loved the patio. All the staff were very pleasant and made our stay enjoyable. The property does needs a facelift but my understanding is that this is in process with the patio deck being replaced in November. Our room was comfortable and spacious but had a unique smell which comes with age. Overall we would come back.

The room had a unique smell which comes from the age of the property. An update and this gem would shine again.
