Can't beat the price! Room was clean and met all my needs. Bed didn't have cockroaches in it!

Room was next to 101 freeway so a little noisy. Vending machine was out of order. The parking lot smelled like piss.

This hotel is your basic motel, and our room was clean and quiet on the first floor. Staff was nice, and there was parking available, even after coming back late after a concert in SB. Based on the other reviews, we were worried that we wouldn't have a spot to park when we came back, but it was fine!

The only downside is that the price of this motel is ridiculous, and this was the cheapest place to stay, even booking 4 months in advance. $218 (incl taxes) for one night. I just wish there were more affordable places to stay in the area.

Loved this place. Good, positive check-in and congenial staff. I love the general color scheme, the extra little Mexican tile inserts and alcoves. The wooden loggia structures in sun filled spots for sitting and sipping tea before sunset. The strip of landscaping with perfectly maintained, very attractive, healthy looking plants. OK there’s more to be said about outside area stated below. The room was perfect. Spotlessly clean, beautiful and comfy with all facilities I needed (I brought my own electric tea kettle). Upstairs (as requested) facing the freeway (noisy outside I could barely hear a thing inside). Actually beyond the freeway I could see the ocean with wonderful clear sunset views. Would love to return one day.

Well I do have to confess - the pool and jacuzzi area was an eyesore because about to be reconstructed. The parking area could do with resurfacing and although some of the walkways and stairways are attractively paved, some looked decidedly grungy and in need of attention. None of these things detracted from the general enjoyment of the place and I expect most are being addressed or soon to be.

modern room and bathroom, comfortable bed, big tv, heating, friendly staff, free coffee. although I didn’t use it, the swimming pool and spa looked nice

if I had to find one dislike it would be that the rooms facing the street have bright lights pointing right at them. I understand this is to make the property stand out for people driving past but it keeps the rooms from being fully dark. if those front rooms had thicker curtains to block out the light that would be amazing. Not a huge problem but this is literally the only thing I could fault about the place

First impression was "this is delightful", a pleasant break from a difficult road trip. Everything I wanted after a difficult day: cheerful design, comfortable bed, full array of refreshing toiletries. Outside there were three arbors that reached to the second floor with small mature bushes at the base. These broke up what would normally be the normal, boring, boxy uniformity of inexpensive motel chains. There is nothing elaborate or extravagant but everything was... delightful.

I would have preferred to have Pepsi in the vending machines, but after 8 us on the road the "8 minute walk to the 711 was not a hardship. The pool is currently being repaired.

The motel was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and staff helpful. Vending machines with many selections, sitting and smoking areas too. Though by the freeway, the noise didn't seem too noticeable. It was a real good value for the price and I would stay here again.

I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room. It would make a huge difference if patrons could make coffee when they get up. Some do not want to wait for the coffee in the lobby, then have to go get it. The phone in the room was inoperable as well.

I recently stayed at the Sandyland Reef Inn and had a pleasant experience. The location is convenient, close to the beach and various dining options. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, though the pools were out a tiny bummer but it’s okay. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out smooth. Overall, it's a good option for travelers looking for a decent place to stay near the beach.

The parking wasn’t the best since it was pretty small we did have to park on the property turn in street.

Great price and easy on and off the freeway. The room and bathroom was well appointed and everything was clean.

It can be noisy, so I was sure to ask for a quiet room. Also, the last two times we stayed, there were working men staying there as a group. They weren’t bothersome, but they were there with all their trucks so it made the parking lot a bit tight. There is only one spot allotted per room. If you have more than one vehicle, you have to park on the street and there is limited space on the street.

Room was clean and comfy, basic cable, nice shower / food water pressure, super close to the highway so it was perfect just as a spot to stop and sleep.

Parking is super tight and I think was especially bad because we rolled in late. I was super worried about the room being dirty from precious reviews, especially about bed bugs. But our room appeared to be totally clean! The property can be a bit loud but with the fan / tv on a low volume it drowned out any road noise.

Really appreciated the microwave and mini fridge which worked great! The decor was bright and inviting, the room/bathroom was much nicer and more spacious than we thought it would be, and the area was quiet and serene. The location was 15 min from Santa Barbara where we were visiting, and all for less than $100!

Unfortunately it seems like the bathroom floor wasn't cleaned properly because there was hair and various dust when we walked in. Also found a small dead roach on the bedroom table.
