We stayed in room 19, directly across from the pool and a short distance from the main office. Our room had two beds and was very spacious in comparison to other double queen rooms we’ve stayed in. The hotel is right on Coast Village Rd. in Montecito so you can walk to different shops and restaurants in the area. Access to the freeway was easy and there was a Pavillions and CVS nearby to grab snacks and other necessities. The pool was clean with comfortable lounge chairs and couches. We hung out there most days with our friends while our children swam. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available in the office all day, which was so nice. The air conditioning was also top notch. We stayed very cool in our room!
The rooms are a bit dated. There was no fan in the bathroom so the window was just perpetually open to air it out after showers. There also wasn’t a microwave, which is unfortunate because we would have loved to reheat leftovers during our stay. Also, it would have been nice to know what kind of shampoo and conditioner were in the dispensers. It was just a generic container but I’d love to know if it was sulfate free. I didn’t chance it and bought my own shampoo and conditioner. When we got into our room, it had a very strong chlorine smell. We assumed it was from being in close proximity to the pool. We didn’t mind it too much though, because we’ll take chlorine over other smells.

Coast Village Inn is a very nice hotel with wonderful walking access to Montecito. The front office staff are very positive and helpful. Nice restaurants are in easy walking distance. The rooms are decent size, while the bathrooms are smaller. They have a nice swimming pool and there is a nice beach within 15 minutes walking distance. There is no breakfast but there are several nice breakfast spots within a few minutes walk. You can easily access all of Santa Barbara's wonderful sights via car with minutes.
Traffic on main street Montecito can be really heavy at times.

Staff was very positive and helpful. Rooms were nicely cleaned as often as you requested. Nice swimming pool. Free bike rental. Pool and beach towels are provided for your use. Great location to many walkable shops and restaurants in Coast Village Montecito. Butterfly beach is a 12-15 minute walk away and is beautiful (but no bathroom facilities.) Many other nice beaches (with facilities) are a 10 to 20 minute drive away.
Traffic on Coast Village Road was difficult at times. Food, drinks and shopping in Montecito are all very nice... and priced accordingly.

Location was exceptional and the stay was quiet and calm in a beautiful neighborhood. Easy access to quaint cafes and shops along Coast Village Rd. The beds were amazing and had a good nights rest. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Its a small and charming Inn located in a prime area , perfect for a few days of rest.
Unfortunately there was road construction underway during the day that was somewhat annoying but not overbearing. The room was a bit dark and there was a hint of mold / mustiness when you walked in the room... perhaps an update : to rid the rooms of carpet and go with another type of flooring .

Everything! The hotel was located in the best part of Santa Barbara, Montecito. Safe, clean, quiet and unpretentious, it is what I look for in a hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and inviting and the room was huge with 2 comfortable queen sized beds. I also enjoyed the free parking
I wish the hotel had a workout facility or a health club nearby to exercise. I also wish the water pressure was higher in the shower. Those are the 2 things I wish for while staying at CVI. On another note the traffic through Montecito was horrible! There has to be another way cars can enter Hwy 101 southbound.

A motel style hotel we had a room on the first floor, 25. The room was elevated and beautifully appointed with a lovely view over the buildings on the opposite side of the road to the sea. The hotel pool area was spotless as was the gardens and parking areas. The whole surrounding area was immaculately presented with not a spot of litter to be seen, anywhere. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance all of which serve high quality cuisine with a price to match. With busy Santa Barbara a 5 minute drive away this hotel is well positioned providing a quiet location away from the rush.

The location is fabulous, the facilities are very clean, even though a tiny bit dated. Staff is wonderful! I love the in-room, coffee-maker, as well as the hot coffee and tea available in the lobby. The pool and surrounding area is immaculately clean and tidy and so inviting. It’s not a large property and not very fancy, but very comfortable and the outdoor spaces are inviting and very pleasant!
The only things I would ask of this comfortable and well located hotel are: new pillows (tge mattress is a very comfortable!), lighting in the closets, more functional and more in quantity electrical outlets in the room (the plugs don’t stay in the outlets and fall out, and more are needed), the refrigerator in the room is so handy and convenient, but runs loudly during the night.

We were allowed to check in a little early. The room was located where we were able to walk out the door and do many things. We rode your bikes every day we were there. The staff was very professional.
The mattress was way too soft. The room could have been a little bigger. I always like it when there is a bathtub.

I loved that the place was super clean! The decor wasn’t super modern, but wasn’t outdated, just cozy. The room was really small but honestly we did t need the extra space for just me and my partner. I passed by other rooms and they did have bigger rooms available. It was enough to sleep comfortably with the working heater on for the chilly nights. Parking was $5 per day which wasn’t too bad and was really close to our room which I really liked. Loved that our room had a view of a cute water fountain. The hotel did offer in room massage services which I didn’t get to try but loved that they have that option! They also had brochures with recommended places and activities to check out in the area. Location was right across from boutiques and restaurants and under 10 minutes to downtown Santa Barbara! which I thought was really nice. Didn’t get to try the free bikes offered but thought that was really cute and fun! Hope to try it out next time we stay in the Santa Barbara area :) loved the location, friendly service and cleanliness. Will definitely be looking to stay here again.
Soap offered for bathing caused skin reaction. Way too thick. Had forgotten to bring my own and sad they didn’t have alternatives to offer at front desk :(

Room was clean and much better than expected. Very comfortab;e.
Disappointed that the reception staff were not more helpful when we helped ourselves to coffee in the foyer which was sone cold. Although she went to get some more, and said it would only be a few minutes, it still hadn't arrived 15 minutes later.
