Clean, modern hotel with two nice, but small, terraces on our floor. Lobby was very comfortable and there was free coffee (including syrups) and fresh fruitwater. Staff was friendly and helpfull.

The room was super small, we did not expect this based on the photos on booking.com. We were sharing a double queen bedroom with four people, would not recommend (one person at the time could walk in the room). The door of the bathroom did not give a lot of privacy.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms and facilities. We had a private patio which is nice. Close to a lot of restaurants, bars, pier, and ocean. The restaurant on the premises was very good.

There is no parking for guests besides valet, but we were able to find street parking thankfully. The room was a bit too small for the price. (*Good if you're just sleeping in the room, but not to spend time in the room.) The bathroom in the room had a frosted glass door which is a bit strange.

Location was fantastic. Staff were super friendly.

The room was soooo much smaller than I had anticipated. We were not able to fold out our carry on size bags as the King Size bed took up nearly the entire room. We were lucky to have left our large suitcases in our rental car, otherwise we wouldn’t have had any space to move in the room.

The manager & staff were fantastic from Valet to front desk and check out! Friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived early and the manager accommodated us by upgrading our room as we were late for a local wine tasting! The room was so quaint, clean and comfortable. The Santo Mezcal restaurant at the hotel is awesome with great staff. We will stay here again. Definitely made our stay in Santa Barbara enjoyable!

Everything was extremely clean; the staff was very friendly & helpful: immediately addressed any concerns. Very spacious hotel lobby & outside sitting area. Convenient parking. It was an idea location: in walking distance of the shops, museums & restaurants in the Funk Zone & the wharf.

The room & bathroom were unexpectedly exceptionally claustrophobic; we were glad that we paid for the attached patio area, There were no chairs but one small stool. Except for the backless stool;, sitting was confined to the bed or outside patio area. The bed was extremely soft & painful to our backs. Definitely not the value for the money.

I booked online not knowing anything about the property or Santa Barbara. When we arrived we were told our room was on the second floor and there aren’t any elevators. We had a heavy cooler with us and 2 bikes. The smart lady behind the front desk said oh okay let’s move you to the ground floor. Great idea. She turned what would have been a quick stop into us extending our stay to multiple days. Our room was tiny but we were able to bring in our bikes. The neighbor was fantastic. The location is perfect. We biked around all and fell asleep to the sound of a train at night. We will be back!

The staff was extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. The lobby is stunning yet quaint. Our room didn't have mini refrigerators, but the staff happily stored my ice packs in the employee freezer so I could make it back through TSA on the plane with my meds. The location is perfect!

I only wish our room (206), had any view other than a giant wall out the window. With that said, we only used our room as a place to sleep, not so much a place to spend much time at. In addition, Booking.com misled me into thinking I would have a balcony via the photos of the room I purchased. This was not true.

Location is PRIME. Two-minute walk to the pier and a number of coffee shops/restaurants. We came to see a show at the Santa Barbara Bowl and it was only about 7 minutes drive.

The rooms are tight. Which is probably typical for any older buildings. For the two of us it was fine, I just know it will be a squeeze when we bring the kids. I also wish there was a better parking situation ($48/night for valet parking). But I’m sure that’s also somewhat typical for something downtown.

Location was fantastic. Close to beach, shopping, restaurants. Rooms are small but modern, clean and comfortable. Popular restaurant in the building that also provides room service. Friendly staff.

Noise level. Trash collection really early in the morning, deliveries and trucks backing up also very early, street noise well into the night, close to train tracks.

Location couldn’t have been better! Two blocks from the beach. Enjoyed walking round Funk Town. Room and bathroom small but adequate. Bed very comfy. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Clothes closet not tall enough to hang long clothing. No biggie for our one night stay. Room wasn’t ready to check in at 4pm, but we were allowed a next day late checkout. It all worked out.
