Clean. In good repair. Great location. Easy parking. Spacious room and bathroom. Lovely little private terrace. Multiple EV chargers on site. Direct access to the outside made using the stroller a breeze.

The heat didn’t work in our room, which was very problematic with a newborn. They gave us a space heater, but it didn’t work very well and the cord got incredibly hot, which was a little disconcerting. No bath mat, so bathroom gets soaked after each shower; we used a hand towel, but it was too thin to make much difference. No tub made bathing young kids tough. Heard people in room above ours just moving about normally; they weren’t being particularly loud, it was more that the floor/ceiling was not well-insulated. Also heard the sound of water loudly running through pipes multiple times an hour. We ended up turning on some white noise to help everyone sleep better.

Location was great, near the water. Although room on the street side was loud. Breakfast was continental style, but was sufficient.

Air conditioner in our room wasn't great, it was warm, and it just didn't cool down the room. They did come and check the filter and leave us a fan, but it was hard to pay the $$ on Labor Day weekend for and not be cool. Also, I like that use dispensers to prevent waste of shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. However, they dispense a tiny amount with each push - probably wasted a ton of water because of the time it took trying to get enough shampoo to wash my hair, a little thing but annoying.

Upon entry, we were immediately greeted by Rodolfo at the front desk. He was pleasant, welcoming and just all around a great guy and made sure our stay was going to be a pleasant one. We stayed only one night, but definitely will be back! The property is adorable and very clean. The covered parking lot was very convenient and rooms/bathroom are bright and very nice. Location was near many restaurants and beach. Breakfast pastries of high quality, a plus!!

Honestly, hotel prices are going up everywhere. Traveling is getting so expensive. But at least, at this property you feel like you got what you paid for. And Rodolfo's customer service was the cherry on top! Thank you!

I had a decent stay at La Playa Inn in Santa Barbara. The hotel is in a good location, close to the beach and several restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The staff was helpful, which made check-in and check-out smooth. The room was clean, though a bit on the smaller side. It had the basic amenities I needed for my stay, like a comfortable bed, a mini-fridge, and a flat-screen TV. However, I did notice that some areas of the room were a little dated, which could use some updates. One of the perks was the free parking, which can be hard to come by in Santa Barbara, so that was definitely a plus. Overall, for the price and location, La Playa Inn offers good value. It’s not a luxury stay, but it’s a solid option if you're looking for somewhere affordable and convenient in Santa Barbara. Would consider staying again if I’m looking for a budget-friendly choice.

The hotel itself is in a great location. It's about a 10 minute walk from the beach, the pier or State St, but it's also just removed enough from those areas to be super quiet. My room was cute, very clean and had the decor and style was unique without being distracting. It all of the amenities I'm looking for - a great shower, a wet bar / kitchenette area with a mini fridge and a comfy bed. And a bonus that it had a private patio. There's a small covered parking area in the garage, but I parked directly in front of my room for convenience of unloading and loading. Plus it was nice to be able to keep an eye on my car with it being so close, not that I was too worried about it. The area seems pretty safe and I did see several SBPD cars patrolling at night.

Truly anything bad I say is a little nitpicky. There was one towel with a faint stain on it, but easy enough to avoid with all of the others at my disposal. The free continental breakfast was pretty basic (yogurt, cereal, granola bars), but if you're in SB, I think you should be going to one of the tons of great breakfast / brunch places downtown anyway.

The STAFF was fantastic. The kindest people- particularly the man who works the morning-early afternoon shift. I also really appreciated how clean and quiet the property was, the location (steps to the beach and boardwalk), and the great coffee. I came here to escape the poor air quality in LA (due to the current fires). This was a welcome oasis!!

These are small things, but the bed was a bit too soft (for my taste), while the dispensers for the shampoo/conditioner were clunky/ barely let out any product. The price for the first night (which was a Saturday) was rather high. But my Sunday night price was totally reasonable.

We’ve stayed here many times and we are never disappointed. Location is walking distance to the beach, state street is close enough to walk and experience all the great food offered. Breakfast is good with multiple selections of coffee, fruit, yogurt, danishes, hot and cold cereals. The staff is super helpful and friendly. There’s free parking convenient parking on site,

No complaints about the property. Every time we stay here, we are comfortable and can’t wait to come back.

excellent location (short walk to the pier, fish market, restaurants, downtown), free parking, friendly staffs, fast response to our questions prior to the arrival, clean and well kept throughout the property, yummy breakfast (love their coffee, fresh fruit, bakery fr SB Bakery Company), quaint courtyard, spacious updated bathroom, plenty of closet/dresser storage, heavenly comfy bed, sustainable/non single-use toiletries We had a deluxe room for four nights at La Playa Inn to attend a family member's wedding. We chose La Playa Inn due to its excellent reviews online yet comparable rate to its nearby hotels. We love that our room was very quiet and we had good sleep. We stayed in several different hotels in SB and Goleta in the past and La Playa Inn becomes our favorite! We will return in the future : ) Walking distance from La Playa 30 mins walk to Santa Barbara County Courthouse (beautiful city and ocean views fr the top floor, iconic mural room and interesting clock tower) 10 mins walk to the Saturday fisherman's market... some of the freshest uni from the fishermen! 15-20 minus walk to our favorites to eat - Shalhoob's Funk Zone Patio, The Palace Grill, The Black Sheep, Jill's Place

The hotel website lists microwave as one of the amenities in deluxe 2 double bed room but we didn't see one. It's a minor issue as we eat out. Check with the hotel if this is something you need. It will be hard to downgrade to other hotels in the future LOL

The place seemed new. Everything was tasteful, modern, clean, functional and convenient. The room was a good size and had everything one would need including a good heating and cooling system, a fridge, a coffee maker and a spacious shower. I had a private balcony, and there were several courtyards outside rooms with comfy seating as well as bistro tables and chairs. Off street. Very nice. The breakfast was fine. Muffins, juice, coffee, ham and egg croissants, cereal, yogurt, waffles etc. But all was pre made, heat it yourself. So could have been fancier. Parking was covered, close, free and adequate. A dozen or more plug ins for EVs.

Price was a bit much with all the fees and taxes, but considering free parking, free breakfast, and the location, not out of line.

Great location, Very clean and neat. Hotel is relatively new as I learned while checking in. Our deluxe 2 double bedroom was spacious on ground floor with a small patio with 2 chairs . Bed was quiet comfortable , bathroom was clean. Hotel is generous with hot drinks, muffins and croissants in the morning. Also there was a small fridge with yoghurt and fruits in the lobby.

Unfortunately there is no view, but we knew it while booking. The room didn’t have a microwave. But there was one in reception area. Which was more than enough. May be older bath towel sets should be discarded.
