Loved the location. We could walk to downtown within minutes and not have to worry about parking. The bed was super comfy! We even looked to see what brand mattress it was so we could consider that at home. Lili was very kind when I needed more coffee pods. Your communications via text were helpful and our room was very lovely.

A couple of tiny minor things to note for future guests: some paper towels would have been nice and/or some napkins. Also, our room had only 1 fork in the drawer, so obviously 2 would have been best. Like I said: those were tiny things!

The location is an easy walk to all the restaurants and shops in downtown but be careful with the cars coming on or off the freeway when the traffic is busy.. The bed was very comfortable with soft bamboo sheets. There is a clawfoot tub which was wonderful if you like to soak in a nice hot bath. Even though you are close to the freeway it was very quiet. . Diego's across the street is a lovely latin restaurant. Good food and nice to sit outside on the patio.

Be aware that there are steep stairs to all the rooms which are on the second floor. They do mention on their website that the property is not a good fit for someone with mobility issues.

Location - near freeway and near downtown Grass Valley -- also easy to get back to Nevada City. Room - good sized room; nice big TV (some motel/hotels scrimp on the TV size) Had a space heater only (no central HVAC) and it was small but worked quite well. Good blankets. Strong shower

The mattress was foam and had some lumps in it. Watch your step getting in and out of the tub/shower. The digital keypad for the room door was lame -- hard to read. It locked us out for a few minutes because we got it wrong a few times.

Excellent stay and good value. We would be happy to stay there again and recommend to others! Really loved how the classic character of the house was maintained but the good-sized room (Gold Center) still had some modern touches, was well lit, and was very clean. Great bed, too! It's more like the bed portion of a bed and breakfast in that it was a room in a house and there's no lobby. The location was great and in a quiet neighborhood. Parking in their lot was easy.

The following are things that might bother other people, but didn't bother us. Not a traditional motel or hotel, and a little bit more like an airbnb in that there's no lobby or any onsite staff we saw. Instructions for access were very clear but sent via text. Also, the front door was up some steps and the rooms were up one flight of fairly steep steps. The bathroom was small with a claw foot bathtub and shower.

Close to downtown. Comfortable bed. Clean. Very helpful staff. When I called, they had me down for a different date, but my confirmation information had the right date. Lilli was extremely helpful and got us a room right away. We really appreciate her help. We’re also glad they had a room available since it was Thanksgiving night. We don’t know why there was a discrepancy between our dates of stay. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

We were able to walk to stores and Cornish Christmas event. Free parking off the public street. Clear instructions for checking in and clean and quiet room, with nice little kitchenette and cool claw foot tub. The informational notebook with information about the facility and local eateries and attractions was very helpful. We also enjoyed the garden, and the history of the place.

The bed was a little too hard for us, and we had to use the space heater, since the central heat system didn't seem to be on. We also could not figure out how to operate the television/ access streaming services.

Room close to Main Street, bed was very comfortable, grounds well kept, and the refrigerator and kitchen items helpful! Was given early check in which was greatly appreciated! Communication was great!

The home was well described and a vintage Victorian home, so it was as expected. Perhaps a larger bathroom but again, it was expected!

This victorian home is nicely renovated and offers clean and charming rooms. There is no receptionist or staff to greet you; you enter the home and room by a code that is texted to you. This unusual arrangement may be a carryover from the pandemic.

Neighborhood seems quiet in general, but there was a band practicing until 11pm from the home across the street from my window. There are steep stairs to get to the rooms, so disabled access would be an issue.

Golden Dream and was a great place to stay for a one night trip to Gold country. It is an easy walk into town and was convenient to be able to do self-check-in. The room was large, the bed extremely comfortable with lots of windows and light and it was so nice to have a refrigerator and mini kitchen in the room.

It was cute and great location, I slept really good there

The fridge wasn't clean and had an open packet of salami in it which grossed me out, carpet had spots and there was a red food stain in front of my room. Cleanliness was my only real issue with the place, expected more from the high ratings
