Although the hotel is downtown LB, the only complaint was the noise from the lightrail but it does stop running at a certain time of night so it did not affect my sleeping. I loved the balcony and the room was extremely clean and very modern. The bidet was an added bonus.

The property was centrally located, almost right across the Long Beach Convention Center, with bus and electric train stop right outside of the hotel. My family felt safe in the area even while walking late at night. There was enough parking on site and is easy to access. The owner Yogi even toured us around and showed the amenities of the hotel - pool, jacuzzi, large sauna and a well equipped gym. There’s hot towels, water bottles available for clients. The rooftop has a great view and has ample seating for a big crowd. I can see clients having a gathering or a party there. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, the pillows are large and fluffy, linens are clean. There’s a 65inch TV ( I think), coffee and tea station with water bottles, and a fridge. The closet is large , with iron and an ironing table too. The bathroom is large, a nice sized shower head with a great water pressure. The toilet seat is heated and equipped with a bidet. There’s a a good sized balcony with a bistro chairs and a table which is perfect for lounging. The amenities in this place are something one can see on a high end hotel. One can tell that the owners take pride in their ownership. Everything is well thought of with the client’s comfort and satisfaction in mind. I highly recommend Mai Hotel and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Very thing about the hotel is exceptional. There’s nothing we didn’t like at all.

The location is excellent if you are visiting Long Beach. We stayed overnight 1 night and caught a cruise the next day. The location of this hotel is very good. It is within walking distance of many restaurants, three breweries and the Promenade where you can find lots of things to see and do. There is a roof top area where you can see the Queen Mary and the port of Long Beach and the ocean.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the hotel or the location. If you are a light sleeper keep in mind there is a main bus stop directly outside your balcony and the tram runs on the same street. Lots of clanging and noise during the day. We did not notice as much at night.

I liked the location of the hotel. It was close to shops and restaurants. I also liked the balcony and view from the room. The staff was kind and helpful.

It was a bit noisy in the room being on a busy corner with public transportation.

I absolutely loooved it . It was so private and neat . The toilets are electric with self cleaning . The rooms are super modern . The room only works with your keep inserted on the wall . There’s a killer spa and a roof for partying. I looked everywhere for a place me and my girl could chill and THIS IS IT . Great Getaway ❤️❤️❤️

The Hotel Mai was the best hotel we have stayed at in Long Beach. It's very close to everything within walking distance. The room was amazing and exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. I loved that we all felt safe and secure here. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing but maybe a continental breakfast or food options offered inside the Hotel would be nice and much appreciated in the future.

Terrible location as is right next to bus station. Noisy due to idling buses…

Very clean and modern. I loved the pool and spa area. Wasn’t expecting saunas. Very nice.

I didn’t like that I had to use cards to literally do everything, including turning on the lights. I also wasn’t expecting to pay for parking, thought that was included in the hotel cost. Also, we weren’t prepared for this to be right next to the train that was constantly running and dinging the bell. It kept us up at night and woke us up in the morning.

Wonderful hotel, friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows (an overlooked asset in most hotels), and a Japanese toilet - what a treat! Appreciated the sauna and steam room, too.

My only complaint is of no fault of the hotel. I got a balcony room facing the street, and even though I was four floors up, there were a lot of unhoused people hanging out in front, being loud into the night. But, that is downtown Long Beach so you cannot really get away from it.
