I appreciated how convenient, comfortable and clean the room was, and especially the welcoming and accommodating staff! I’ve stayed here before during my annual trip from California to New Mexico. I was aware of the proximity to the train tracks and brought my best earplugs, which worked like a charm. If I’m not trying to sleep, I actually enjoy watching the trains go by. I also appreciated the effective air conditioning as needles experiencing intense high heat – 115° during the day and 104° at night. The other thing I like about this spot is you get a 10% discount at the local, Wagon Wheel restaurant. If you’re interested in casinos, I do not recommend Avi Casino and Resort— limited selection of slots and their payout is exceptionally poor.

This is a good Motel. They have tile floors (no carpet thank god). It was celan. Big TV. Basic shower with toilet. Working Air conditioner and rooms allready cooled when you arrive (room was cool enough for us to be able to not have the AC on when we went to sleep - no noise). A really nice pool, that was very wellcome as outside temperature was arround 40 °C even after the sun set. Staff was very kind and helpfull.

There's an outside hangout/smoking area, that is clean and tidy, but it feels like an really loud boiler room in the evening when all the AC are on, and there's a railway nearby and a truck parking and all the noise combined could probably beat a moderately loud concert. Noise was not a problem in the room for us.

Smooth check in process, helpful staff. The room was basic but very spacious and clean enough, and very good value for our one night stay. I needed to do some laundry so having guest laundry facilities on site is very handy (and the machines were easy to use). In a location close to fast food/restaurants and gas stations. There is a small pool which was nice for a foot dip on a hot day. Also BBQ's available in the pool area but we didn't need to use it.

Room was clean, although a little dated and bed was comfortable. There are not many choices of places to stay in Needles, and we have booked here before, so we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. They do not have any food service here, but they do have a restaurant across the street that will give you a discount for your patronage at the inn. We were also provided with a bottle of water and breakfast bar at checkout.

As all the hotels in town suffer this and have no control over it, I still wish there were no train noises at night.

Good place to stay if you're on the road. Room was clean and comfortable, as expected a 'standard inn' for an overnight stay and there was a pool (which we didn't use). Discount on the Wagon Wheel Restaurant across the road was great.

For a longer stay it's inconveniently located as there's only a gas station and one restaurant close-by, no 'city center'. However, as we weren't looking for that, but just for a place close to the highway, it was perfect for us.

It’s somewhat dated but we love this welcoming hotel in the CA desert. Every time we come thru Needles we stay here. No fuss, no muss, just a good shower, a super comfortable bed in a nice cool room. You can bet we’ll be back!

The property was great. We didn’t like the 117 temps outside but the room was 73. And we were sad the Giggling Cactus had closed but the Wagon Wheel was good food. So it all worked out!

Clean facilities, clean room. Comfortable bed. Shower head was new and working properly! Toiletries are in dispensers so you don't have to fumble with the tiny bottles. I've stayed at 5 different hotels in 5 days driving across the south west and this place has the best bed and best shower.

I much prefer the dispenser style soaps and hair care products, but the conditioner in the shower wasn't really dispensing properly. Perhaps the conditioner was too thick for that style dispenser? Maybe try a thinner brand of conditioner (or add a little bit of water to thin it out 🤫😉) so that it will dispense easier.

Convenient to I-40. Amazingly quiet considering the property is right next to the train tracks. The staff are helpful and friendly . The bed was super comfortable.

The smell of cigarettes outside the room. Coffee is available in the office, but not in them room. The AC is quite loud, but at least it was working — Needles is <very> hot in the summer; It was 114° when I arrived .

Clean and not overpriced! The owner and staff could make a side business as Trainers to others in the business. I found a great selection of tv channels; shower head and water pressure; clean maintained Pool; the best vanity mirror lighting of any hotel motel I’ve experienced; a quality large mini fridge and microwave; close to restaurants; and a wonderful staff. I was really surprised! I would challenge anyone to show me a better Inn in Needles-anywhere! Retired and travel over the past 5 years and will spend a weekend maybe two every month in a hotel/motel/casino. Have stayed in a lot of places- Rio Del Sol ranks #1 of all locations experienced.

It was clean and the stuff were very nice

I called for room cleaning and no one showed up. We even left for the day so they were able to change the bed sheets and grab all the dirty towels. When we return to the room nothing was done.
