WOW. I stay the night in this area for work 4x a month for a few months now and this is the BEST hotel I’ve stayed in. It was so hard to leave it. The woman at the front desk was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. The entire place was spotless. The beds were SO comfortable and the fireplace in our room worked great! There are plenty of restaurants walking distance as well as a very fancy restaurant in the hotel. I have zero complaints. It’s definitely worth the money. Especially if you go for the room with the fireplace and shared patio.

I loved the building and the view in the room. The staff was also very friendly and extremely accommodating. They also made parking in the busy parking lot easy as they parked our car for us in a separate lot.

As amazing of a view the Seaview room was, it was not a good room for light sleepers. I am not exaggerating when I say I didn't even sleep for 3 hours. It has very busy foot traffic at all hours of the night. You heard all the drunk people/kids, the cars, motorcycles, people walking and talking even with our windows closed. The parking lots are right below and so are all the bars and the beach. The breakfast was also underwhelming for a bed and breakfast. We ended up going elsewhere to eat.

We loved our stay at the Dorymans - they have easy access to pull up out front for bags and then a private parking lot a block away. Staff were super helpful and able to get us fresh milk and extra pillows and blankets with ease. The room was spacious and very clean, some reviews mention the beds but we used all 3 in the room and they were all comfy. There was a fridge and tea and coffee facilities in the hall. Location is right on the oceanfront with fantastic views. We didn't get bothered by the noise and it's expected in a busy central location. We would happily stay again.

The lift was out of action which was a bit tricky for my mothers mobility but we managed. The breakfast was very limited with just fruite / bagels / cerial / juice and very weak coffee - connected to ocean 21 i expected it to be a bit more as thier food is so fabulous- but it's worth knowing it's limited and other places are around to eat in the morning

I think people would choose this location for two reasons: location, and the fact that it is historic. You are right in the heart of Newport Beach. The view cannot be beat, the property is in excellent condition for its age, and you’re right above one of the best restaurants in all of Newport Beach. The staff was very friendly as well. Also, parking is included in the hotel rate which is a huge plus as parking is a premium down by the water.

We had the best corner room in the place that overlooked the beach. It was right next to a popular 24 hour donut place that gets pretty noisy at night. Fortunately I had a white noise app so it didn’t bother me, but could bother others. The toiletries should be nicer for the price.

The room was amazing, it had all these little details in the room and everything was unique. The concerige or hostess was very informative and took the time and explained the experience there. I also liked that the room was right by the ocean and it was within walking distance. Very beautiful

The bed was not super comfy and we got a room with a spa tub that made this really loud noise when we tried to turn it on and it did not work. We could not get the plug to stay or get the jets to turn on.

Excellent in many ways, Beachfront, comfort, nearby convenient shops, location and above all very friendly and helpful staff. we were given on loan beach gear umbrella, chairs, beach mats etc.

I know it is a small hotel. Bit Disappointed with breakfast choice. To find a Restaurant staff we had to go on Google search every day. We had to ask for the same thing like 'English Breakfast Tea' 8 out of 9 nights we spent.

This hotel was very nice, it was so clean and well kept. Loved the history of the hotel and the vintage touches in each room. Staff was very friendly

The noise level was bad you could hear everything going on on the boardwalk. We were kept up all night our first night people were out late and drunk hanging out in the parking lot in between the hotel and the beach. There was still people out at 4am! It’s not the hotels fault just part of the experience I guess.

This was one of the best experience's I had. The staff was wonderful, Very kind and saw to things we asked for with no issue. Location was definitely a plus. The rooms were great size and very clean, you could actually smell how the room was clean when you walked in. Breakfast was great each morning. I will be staying again, such a wonderful time we had.

Honestly, there was nothing wrong.

It had a vintage feel to it. We had an ocean view room on the corner. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. Customer service was A+

The only complaint I guess would be that if you get the ocean view room it does get quite noisy at night with the locals up late partying in the parking lot. Other than that is was perfectly fine. I would recommend wearing earplugs if the noise bugs you.

Great location close to restaurants and bars right at the Newport Beach Pier. Old but well maintained building. The room (Bellagio) was comfortable and spacious, with a nice gas fireplace.

My room's windows (Bellagio) were facing a noisy alley - on Sat evening we had street noise until late after midnight. The windows did not do a great job to eliminate the noise. The TV does not support streaming apps or screen mirroring. The continental breakfast had a very limited offer.
