We had a large comfortable room Perfect for those who want to hang out at resort hotel.

Expensive - for us, the price exceeded the value . But we were there to meetup with family; had little interest in pool, or facilities, and didn’t use them. We would have preferred location closer to cultural or historic venues. One disappointing thing was that, after checking out, my husband discovered he had left a packing cube in the room; called hotel staff later that day to report his error, was told staff would look and get back to him. But there was no follow-up by staff, even with 2 more calls by my husband.

Location was breath taking! We got a sea view suite and the upgrade was so worth it. Suite had two queen beds in a separate bedroom with an attached full bathroom. The living/dinning room had another full bath. The private balcony could be accessed by the living room and the bedroom. Kitchenette had a mini fridge, a sink and a microwave. Housekeeping was attentive and the room was clean. There were two closets, and a dinning table with chairs. Two TVs. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. It was close to several hikes, including point mugu trails. Float Spa was amazing! It was a bit pricy than what I would pay for, in San Diego, but I felt my 75 min Float special full body with foot scrub, face and head massage was well worth it. I left a $75 tip, way above the suggested 20%. Restaurant (ox and ocean) was the best in the area, and the serving staff were always very attentive and friendly. Food was good and the portion size was generous. Valet was friendly and prompt, any time we needed the car.

I wish the kitchenette had plates and mugs. The room service is every other day, but they came right away when we called for new towels etc. Daily room service should be the norm. I wish the restaurant had better selection of cocktails, appetizers and desserts. They should bring back the buffet.

Staff friendly. Room clean. Facilities all nice and cozy.

The breakfast included package actually doesn’t include breakfast but a $25 credit per person for breakfast. Given the fact that the breakfast entree is $50+ and coffee $14, plus tax and tips, the statement “breakfast included” is quite misleading.

The location was excellent. Had an ocean view and loved everything about that. The room layout and amenities were fantastic.

The common areas did not appear to be top-level clean. The pool area seemed disheveled on many occasions with dirty hot-tub and used towels everywhere. The overall vibe left me feeling like it was a bit ‘dated’ or like it has definitely been ‘used’ over time. Which led to the price being bit too high in comparison.

This place was amazing the views from our patio was awesome. Plenty of space for a family and they didn't charge me anything for my dogs. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

The café was not open very much. There isn't a place nearby to get snacks or coffee so it being closed was a bit of a hassle. The parking fee was ridiculous. 45 dollars a day for self-parking??? You're a hotel, provide guests with a place to park their car, there was plenty of it.

The location of the hotel is nice. We had move to the Adventure building, but it was far away from the main part of the hotel. On the plus side, it has easy access to the beach.

First room we got was in the I building room 902. It had a musky smell, we believe it was from the carpet. Since, the room is near the pool and has access from the back... the previous visitors may have been coming in and out of the room wet. The carpet most likely did not dry up completely. Would have love to stay in that room and building since everything was near.

The room was exceptionally clean, spacious and included all of the amenities that we needed as a family. Bonus, the room had 2 bathrooms and 2 televisions. Food was worth every penny. Breakfast was included in our package and it did not disappoint. Our room was an easy walk to and from the pool, restaurants and, most importantly, the beach. Very child friendly environment.

The pool had a sign that stated no pets beyond this point but couples would bring their dogs into the pool area.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite and the suite had an ocean view that was spectacular! Worth every dollar for the room upgrade! The dinner at the onsite Ox & Ocean restaurant was very good! Carson our server was very attentive during our meal. The entire resort staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We will definitely be back again!

Getting from our suite to the restaurant via the pool area was very dark and not well lighted! Be careful!

The place was gorgeous. The staff was great, beautiful grounds, Pool and Jacuzzis were perfect. Would definitely come back.

The bed was uncomfortable. It looked amazing but was a horrible mattress. I didn't sleep well at all. There was only one small issue with staff at the coffee trailer. I bought 5 coffees and one spilt she saw it even helped clean it up but wouldn't refill it. it was a black coffee come on. $$ i Wish I knew about the $150.00 per night per room deposit before so I could plan for it and the $36.00 parking per night per car.

So happy the property was dog friendly & the beautiful views of the ocean. The hotel staff were very friendly & made me feel very welcomed. Loved the swimming pool & hot tub area that was very nice to relax & unwind the restaurant had very delicious food & friendly staff that made for an enjoyable experience. I really loved my ocean front room that had a very beautiful view & easy access to the beach. The property was very clean with beautiful landscaping of that beach scape feel.
