The host are great people! Very helpful and understanding.

Wifi was very weak, I believe the new Wifi box from the fiber Optic does not have the range to reach each room like the previous Wifi. They used to have strong Wifi service the last time we stayed.

The location is perfect, away from the crowds but a short walk down to the oceans cliff where you can find numerous benches to enjoy the view of the pacific. The owners are kind and helpful, the place is super clean and quite. Coffee house next door is amazing, yummy treats and fabulous coffee

A fabulous, clean and safe place to lay your head but if you need entertainment or kids need to run around, it's a tiny establishment. For me, not a negative but for some it might be.

Loved my stay at Palomar Inn. I was in the area for a memorial. Easy check in, lovely comfortable bed, big shower. Coffee, microwave, fridge - all the things. It's quite close to 101, but honestly that wasn't much of an issue. It's also two blocks from the beach and a lovely walk along the shoreline. Thanks!

Proximity to mother’s house

Room was not clean: socks were black on bottom after walking on floor, we got one washcloth for the two of us and there was a used towel hanging over the shower curtain rod, and no clue how to turn on heat—there is a non-functioning wall heater and thermostat without explanation and a LG device over the door that we didn’t see at first, and which only blew cold air. After suffering through the first night I played with the LG remote until I stumbled onto the heat mode. Would have been nice to have a clean room with a functioning heater that first cold night in late December, or at least something explaining how to warm the room.

Newly renovated. It was an absolutely amazing Hotel for the value. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable! We really enjoyed the fact that the kids had a separate room from us. This is now our go to hotel! Already planning our next trip at Palomar Inn. We enjoyed it so much that we can't wait to go back for A longer stay. It was far enough away from the huddle and bussle of downtown Pismo but close enough that we could be anywhere in just minutes. The grounds were beautiful aswell.

Hard to find something honestly. Because of the value of this hotel we were very pleased with this Hotel with how much we spent. We did not expect such a nice room. The toilet paper I guess is our only complaint lol. That and the door to the other room was only a deadbolt so you couldn't close it and latch it from the main room.

For over 20 years I’ve been coming to the shell beach area, annually with my friends. Staying at Palomar was the norm the last two years we opted for an air bnb, style stay ! Because the rates were a little high for our budget. This year the rates were reasonable and we were all astonished about the upgrades they did to the Palomar, the only issue my friends had was the water pressure for their showers in their rooms! Everything in my room was perfect ! I’ll be back as solo trip possibly as early as next spring !

Nothing it was a perfect stay !

The room was very clean, the bathroom was very spacious. I would recommend placing a small table in bathroom to place toilettries or area to place clothing. Absolutely loved the location. Alot of restaurant options within walking distance. A coffee shop right next door. A short stroll to the beach. But our absolute favorite was the staff. They were always accessable and on site, cleaning and making sure the guests needs are met.

Can't think of anything. Maybe better cable channels. But even this wasn't really an issue as we preferred to spend any down time enjoying their beautiful patio with a relaxing view of the mountains.

It was very clean and updated, had adjoining rooms for the whole family. It was such a cute quaint place located not too far from all the action and within walking distance to a few restaurants and the ocean.

The Air Conditioner didn’t work very well to cool down the place. We ended up sleeping with the windows open because it was pretty warm in the room. There is a big gap between the door and the floor so cool air may be escaping there as well. The lamp on the nightstand didn’t work and the toilet paper holder came off when using it and could not be put back together.

This is a small motel; rooms are small but very clean with parking right in front of the room. The shower was great, the bed was comfortable and the staff, who are the owners, is very nice. Excellent location easy travel to Pismo Beach, Avila Beach areas

Rooms are a little small but that is Ok they are clean and well maintained

The new A/C unit worked beautifully, the bed was comfortable, the new shades worked very well, the water was nice and hot, the location is wonderful, and the parking was right in front of our door.

The walls are so thin (or the doors aren't soundproof) that the first night we were disturbed by yelling neighbors. The tile floors needed mopping and the handle was loose on the shower control. The rates were incredibly expensive (but that was true all over town) as part of a "super-bloom package" of local wildflowers. Honestly, the prices were three times as expensive as usual. We've stayed here many times and were visiting my brother who lives nearby, but NEVER have we paid $200+/a night for a tiny room.
