The location is beautiful and the rooms were updated ! Great place to stay

I booked on line with booking.com and I am happy with there service…. but when I get to the checkout part at the front desk of the hotel they always want to add the resort fee and it was paid and listed in our total with Booking.com!! The adjustment was made from the front desk clerk and then it was resolved…but It would be a perfect stay if that went smoothly!!!

Great location to relax. This review is for Pesmo Lighthouse Suite. Room was awesome, breakfast was also good. If you are with Kids, this is one of the best place to stay and relax. Limited but useful amenities.

Nothing that I disliked but they have serious issue with payment software. I am still seeing charges in my card thought full payment was made through booking.com. I spoke with them before leaving and they assured that charges will be void after you checkout, but that did not happen yet. Need to followup again or will have to raise dispute with the back (worst case).

This place is amazing. The staff was super nice from the front desk to the kitchen to the house keeping. This hotel has beautiful views of the ocean. I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony looking at the ocean. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast included was good. They have coffee, hot tea ,hot chocolate to grab whenever. Next to the ice machine they have water so you can fill your wayer bottle. The shower has shampoo, conditioner, body wash inside, so you don't have to bring any. The room also has lotion, hand soap, even has qtips. I do recommend this place , we will definitely be back for sure

Everything! The room was fabulous. Plenty of space, we had a king with a nice sofa. Bathroom was very large with a huge double sink counter with room for all your toiletries. Deck was great - with deck chairs high enough to see over the railing! Great walking paths. Friendly helpful staff. Although we didn’t use the pool or spa they were in great shape. My husband used the gym - small - but it had everything you need to get a full workout. Breakfast had lots of choices. I’m a tea drinker and the room had a hot water pot and tea bags! That was a pleasant surprise.

This is probably our 5th or 6th stay. Sadly parking which you have unlimited space was charged. I initially was given an assigned room overlooking the pool then a room facing the ocean to the right of the lobby. When I asked for a better room they raised the initial offered rate. I then booked w/ Expedia who assigned me a "Pier View Room" with a rate of $478.04 (2 nights) I did not get the Pier View (under construction) and parking charge was not disclosed. Hot tub was luke room

We were pleasantly surprised that our building had an elevator so we could take our bikes up to the third floor. The balcony view of the beach and pier was fantastic. Parking was easy and the free electric charge for our car was a nice bonus. The Shore Cliff Hotel has the largest pool in Pismo Beach, and it's very clean. The staff whom we met were so very helpful...real positive attitudes. I know we will be staying here again in the future.

We could have stayed longer!

The location of this hotel cant be beat. The views are fantastic. Peaceful and quiet unlike the hotels near the pier ( we stayed there on our other trips) which were overcrowded and noisy. The warm cookies at check in hit the spot ! Have to add we have stayed at this property many times over the past 25 years under different management. They have done a good job with the remodel.

The breakfast quality should be improved. The coffee was good but the rest of the food was mediocre at best. They can easily improve it.

Our stay was wonderful! We stayed in an ocean view room (king bed) with our 2 small dogs. It was very clean, comfortable and the ocean view was spectacular! We loved being able to take a 7 min walk to the beach or to the Pismo Preserve. Other features we enjoyed were the hot tub and pool, breakfast buffet and hospitable staff. We’d recommend Shore Cliff to anyone who is looking for a quiet, comfortable experience full of breathtaking views and wildlife.

The property was gorgeous and in a great location with amazing views of the ocean. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable with all of the nice extras like keurig coffee maker, instant hot water kettle, robes. The patios were great to hang out on and watch the waves and the seagulls and pelicans. On our last night we saw dolphins. The pool and hot tub were great. The staff were all amazing since we first walked in. Ishmael was friendly and was able to switch us to a first floor since my mom has a bad knee and we wanted ocean front. He also gave us restaurant suggestions and explained where everything was on the property. Even the landscapers had a smile on their faces in passing. There were always workers around maintaining the property so the resort fee is worth it. The breakfast setup was nice but the hot food could be one step up in my opinion. Overall we had an amazing stay and already want to come back.

Not much, grounds were amazing . There was a strong smell of pelican/seagull feces close to the gazebo area but I’m not sure there is much that can be done about that. I would suggest maybe planting more lavender bushes to help with the smell?

We spent 2 nights here and would've happily stayed longer! The hotel is situated right on the coast, the rooms are spacious, with balcony, big comfy beds and fabulous bathrooms, we had wonderful views across the ocean and up the coast (when the fog cleared!) Breakfast was varied though the breakfast room did get very busy. The pool area is wonderful, the heated pool is huge. Pool towels are provided. The only downside is the smell from the nesting birds.

The parking charge, just seems a bit daft that its either not baked into the rate or absorbed by the hotel.
