Everything. We stayed one night before flying out. From check in to departure, the staff and the room exceeded expectations. And we could leave our vehicle for a week at a great daily rate.

Location could have been better but the price was great.

They have upgraded several features since we were there three months ago. They now have a high-quality coffee, including a medium roast available in the dining room and appropriately kept in a thermos rather than a hot plate to maintain quality. Coffee in the morning should always be light or medium roast because it has more caffeine and personally,to me, tastes better than dark roast. They also have added a cheese omelette, which was easy to like as a hot dish. In the room, don’t miss the feature of a nightlight built into the hairdryer, which needs to be turned on by a switch. There is little worse than getting up in the middle of the night and needing to turn on a blinding light in the bathroom, which can instantly wake you up and ruin your sleep the rest of the night. Many of the best hotels overlook or turn a blind eye to the importance of a nightlight. Finally, I want to mention that there is a very good Mexican restaurant across the street from the hotel with a great atmosphere and wide menu of drinks and food . Currently they have a $10 off coupon available in the hotel lobby if you spend $40 or more.

There is no fancy lobby to sit around waiting for the shuttle bus nor exercise room, but it would be unfair to expect this in a very moderately priced hotel at the airport.

The place was very nice and comfortable. However, I sent an email at 8:30 AM asking if there would be a chance to check in early as we would be in town sooner than expected. I received no response. When we arrived 1.5 hours before “check in time”, I asked if we could and he said it would be an extra $25 for early check in. Not that $25 is going to break me but if they had responded to my initial request, we could have found something to occupy our time longer.

Hotel Aura was conveniently located nearby to the airport and the hotel offers a free airport shuttle at specific times throughout the day which we made use of when checking out. We stayed in room 219, it was a huge bedroom, definitely the largest room out of all the hotels we stayed in during our 3 week vacation. This was very helpful when packing up our suitcases. The hotel is great value for money, we paid £180 for the night which was very reasonable in comparison to other hotels in the area. Although the San Bruno area doesn’t look much, it is quite a friendly residential neighbourhood with some nice restaurants. We walked to dinner and saw lots of young families. There is also some underground parking although we did not make use of this. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

There is a complimentary breakfast but it is extremely limited so do not get your hopes up. If you have high expectations then it’s best to skip breakfast and buy some at the airport.

The room was great, with refrigerator and micro-wave owen.

TheHootel Aura is located near the SFO airport, they also offer a free shuttle service between the hotel and the airport. The room was bigger than expected, very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The heating made the room nice and warm as we felt a bit chilly. The room had a hairdryer, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, and a big screen TV with many different channels. The wifi worked well. There is basic breakfast available from 6:30 but we had to leave earlier so we did not try it as we had to leave earlier to the airport by the hotel shuttle service. The staff was really nice and helpful! :)

It would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room.

Fabulous location, free shuttle to and from the airport. Mike was very helpful with a quick check in. Comfortable room with 2 double beds, quiet despite being on a main road and free breakfast included. In room coffee pod machine (first time in 4 weeks of travel in the USA). Our flight was delayed and staff gave great ideas with directions on how to fill in the day. Free car parking available, although we didn’t need this. Free luggage storage. Highly recommended this for an overnight stay.

No complaints, very friendly and helpful staff.

The room was beautiful! Spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I was really amazed at such a nice property being so reasonably priced in that area. Also I was delayed due to traffic and arrived quite late, but was able to check in quickly due to the awesome staff.

Not really bad, just something to be aware of- you need to tell the front desk when you're planning to take the shuttle, and you also need to be waiting outside before the shuttle arrives so the driver can see you when he pulls up. It was fine, just something I was nervous about missing if I didn't get to the curb early enough.

I needed a place to stay convenient to the SFO car rental center and it's an easy 8 minute drive over there that is not subject to traffic problems. Room was reasonably comfortable and breakfast was well stocked.

Dreary, almost sketchy-looking tiny parking lot. Could hear people walking around in the room above me until midnight. Also, I tried to contact the hotel to ask about their airport shuttle both through Booking.com and their own website and got no response to either.

Location to the airport

The first free shuttle for afternoon pickups is 3pm which is also checkin time at the hotel. In theory that seems OK. But This means everyone arriving to SFO between 11am and 3pm are waiting for one that 3pm shuttle. So we couldn’t all fit. Consider starting your afternoon shuttles at 2pm…by the time the shuttle makes its rounds to Aura, it’ll be near 3pm anyhow.
