Large, historically significant property. My stay was during perfect summer weather so I enjoyed exploring outside the building as well as details within. I also explored the park across the street which I believe was originally part of the family's property.

I got the feeling that the property may be slightly understaffed. The staff I did interact with were friendly and courteous. Finding my room which was towards the back of the property was a hassle and took almost 20 minutes. I also encountered a 'bad actor' out by my car in one of the parking areas. He was clearly casing the cars to see what he could steal. I notified a hotel staff member who notified security. This guy was apparently arrested a little later in the day.

An absolutely beautiful hotel with lush grounds, a lovely pool and relaxing comfortable outdoor seating areas. Gym facilities excellent. Breakfast buffet was amazing! Staff were really friendly and couldnt do enough for you - especially Paz and Roger at breakfast and Antonio in the evenings. Would definitely stay again and recommend

When I tried to re-book at reception they said they couldn’t give me a good rate so told me to go and book online! Seems a bit crazy! Checking out bill very complicated too - loads of small amounts of taxes and supplements added. Also, for Brits it is disappointing that tea is not included with breakfast - you can have endless coffees but tea is an extra charge 😩

The historical building and the grounds

I booked a room that said balcony but the hotel messaged me and somewhat curtly said some have some do not and if you get here “on time” and there’s one left you may possibly get one. We did not! As a HH member long term this has never happened. Either put a difference price on a room with balcony and then if booked it’s guaranteed just like the Hilton in Scott’s Valley CA.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The greenery and the gardens are amazing. The hotel inside is beautiful and vintage making you feel like royalty! There’s soo much to see if you walk around the hotel. The rooms are a good size and the beds were pretty comfortable.

It’s easy to get lost!! And a bit scary. The hotel is split in half so there’s the original mansion side where the hotel lobby in is located and there’s a newer side but they didn’t tell us that. So as I went to pick up my DoorDash order I took the 1st elevator I seen (on the lobby side) and I ended up on the same floor as mine but in a completely different building. And to make matters worse, some of the hallways lead to dead ends and let you go in a full circle until you realize you’re back at the same dead in (creepy if you’ve ever toured Winchester myself house.. gives you that vibe being lost) so all I’d say if that they should make it clear that there’s 2 different buildings so the floors don’t match up..

Rose at the reception desk was so kind and helpful both on check in and out. We loved the breakfast but wish it was complimentary. The breakfast stafff was so attentive. We got a $50 certificate from booking.com and used that for breakfast and parking.

The cost of breakfast and parking. We had to park in an unmarked spot as there were no parking places left. It is very hard to find your room from the parking lot…….no signage for the rooms in the 1000’s. Parking fees are annoying.

The hotel was great. For me personally, it had that "Shining" vibe to it. Kind of a strange location with all the residential homes surrounding it, but not a turn off. The room was large, clean & easily accessible. The beds were very comfortable.

The restaurant wasn't our cup of tea. There was only one waiter but I get it, midweek you're not expecting a lot of people which, there was. The food was not great for the price in my opinion.

We liked the sitting area in our room which had a comfy couch, and a table and chairs to sit at, the bathroom had a large counter to place all your stuff. The gym downstairs was nice and had a little bit of everything to workout on.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived, so we had to wait until 4:45pm to check-in, other than that everything was great.

Loved this hotel but been a few years since the last time I was here. The campus is beautiful. The location is perfect. Beautiful building beautiful rooms.

The breakfast used to be excellent. Not so much now. A high school poem was going on. So I couldn’t find a parking space had to park on the street and I paid for parking. Music was loud until 11 o’clock at night. Had early morninganHad early morning flight, could not Sleep. Until after midnight. But even with that I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very beautiful and had a relaxing atmosphere. The room was very quiet compared to other hotels.

The lighting around the parking lot could have been better. There were some areas that were a bit too dark and uncomfortable to park in.

Beautiful, historic hotel. Liked everything about the hotel; beautiful room, comfortable beds. The ambience of the grounds and landscaping made for a very relaxing experience. We had dinner at the restaurant, as well as buffet breakfast included in the price, both were delicious. Staff were very nice and helpful.
