The property was extremely convenient Walking distance to restaurants and stores. The place is immaculately clean. Love this place . We had room #1 I would have given it a 10 except I had an issue with their “heater “. It made a very loud sound every time it turned on which kept up us awake all night long . I would recommend to change their heater systems it’s unbearable to listen to it I also want to recommend to change their curtains around the room . It’s nice but when you go outside you can “look” into the rooms especially at night . Suggest thicker Curtains for more privacy. I will still stay here in the future since it’s convenient and the process is very easy They text you “code “ and if you want your room cleaned just put in “maid service “ or privacy if not needed. Excellent place ! 🙏😢

Nice building with character fitting Solvang. Super spacious, luxurious and clean room, quiet location, comfortable bed. Excellent location - walkable to all central locations in Solvang. I would highly recommend and I would stay there again.

Checking in in the evening without a front desk was confusing, because the room had two exterior doors on opposite sides, and only one had the keypad. I thought I was locked out for a moment until I found the second door. Also parking was not obvious how to find - on which side of the building it is. More detailed instructions for first timers would help.

On a 15 day road trip Atterdag Inn tied for first place with one other lodging. We loved the contactless entry to the beautiful building. Just steps away was an excellent restaurant Whiskey and Rye, and a yummy bakery Mortensen's ( get the apple strudel). Our room was huge. The beds most comfortable of all. The bathroom a dream out of a designer's magazine. We also loved that this was a rather small family run hotel. It felt more personal than other places we have stayed. Oh yes we also appreciated not being awakened by housekeeping in the morning. Kudos to Atterdag Inn.

The window shades did not close out all the light from the entry area and was a bit bothersome at night. Don't really like wearing an eye mask to bed. Perhaps a lower wattage fixture or a motion sensor light would reduce the situation enough.

Excellent location to the tourist areas, clean and wonderful staff we were able to get in contact with someone every time we called which was extremely helpful as my phone died and we couldn’t get the room and code any other way

Minor dislikes; however there was the one door in the room that looks like it goes to the room next door and they are able to lock it (not sure) but our side that the outside lock that requires a physical lock to open. Also there wasn’t access to the porch area from our room and I don’t know if there was a heater, the room got chilly

The location was wonderful and within walking distance to everything. Close to attractions, many food options, and bars. It’s so close to everything, but very quiet at night and tucked away from the Main Street. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely be staying again!

The ONLY thing I can think of is that it was a contactless check in, which was wonderful! But I was sent two different codes from two different emails through our reservation. So it was stressful trying to figure it out on our own when we got to our room after office hours. They responded quickly and the issue was resolved, but that is the only thing. Everything else was perfect!

The location of the street dag inn is perfect. The window seats were wonderful to watch all the people walking by and all the stores. The room was big. My only complaint was the beds were hard. That may just be my personal preference. Where is my spouse loved the beds. There was an odd smell every now and then in the bathroom but we open the windows and it would clear right out. We had no noise issues. We will definitely in the future book with this hotel again

I liked the accessibility and simplicity of the room. It was tidy, clean and I felt safe.

I booked and paid through Booking.com. Because there is no office on the Atterdag premises, the check-in process is not ordinary. Allegedly, I was to have received an email prior to the day of my stay to receive my room number and access code. (Depending on what you read on the interwebs, the email was to come either 48 hours prior to or the morning of your arrival date.) I checked my email in the early morning before traveling to Santa Ynez Valley/Solvang. I received no correspondence with the pertinent information. The Atterdag's sister hotel is The Viking Inn (within walking distance). The Viking Inn has a staffed office, and the kind lady there was able to provide me with my room number and access code.

We loved the location - just off the main drag, and right in the center of the action. Wine bar and pastries only steps away. Much easier walk than the other hotels located at the edges of town. Rooms were large and had great amenities.

The inn was great! Easy access with keypad entry required no check-in or out. Suite was roomy and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Location was amazing with food and shopping right all around.

This is our third time staying here, we come every year for anniversary and absolutely love it. Location is right on Main Street and close to everything. Room is very spacious, clean and more bang for your buck. Will definitely be staying again.
