The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending across the road and half the cost of the surrounding hotels. I was worried we would be giving up higher standards by picking this hotel, but it surprised us with how clean and updated the rooms were, and how comfy the beds were!! Breakfast selections were better than expected (and comparatively better than the Hampton Inn nearby that some of our friends stayed at). The staff were always friendly and greeted us every time we came back from a long day of wedding setup or festivities.

recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say, it’s in a fantastic spot! Right off the freeway, it’s incredibly easy to access, which makes it perfect for travelers passing through. The location is also great for exploring the surrounding area. There are many charming small businesses nearby, perfect for a bit of local shopping and dining. If you're into wine, there’s a beautiful winery close by where you can relax and enjoy the views. Plus, the hotel is nestled near farmland, offering a peaceful, scenic atmosphere that’s hard to beat. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with convenient access to both local attractions and natural beauty.

Traffic can be noisy.

Warm and friendly feeling with whoever is at the front desk and those yummy cookies and the morning breakfast and the 24 hour coffee plus coffee in the room and then rooms look nice and they were clean and everything worked great

That I was on the bottom floor and it was so noisy above me. I would have to go on a top floor next time or at least not down there where I was it’s very if they stomping around up there it’s very noisy once I go to sleep and then it’s fine, but I’d prefer a top floor or upper floor.

Fabulous breakfast, great people behind the front desk.

We were charged a fine for leaving our small, well behaved dog in the room while we went across the lobby for breakfast. We couldn't take the dog into the breakfast room so what were we supposed to do ? We were gone for 20 minutes. I understand the policy of not leaving the dog in the room alone but we have stayed at the Quality Inn in Buelton/Solvang so many times that we thought we could walk the few feet to the breakfast room without any problem.

The breakfast was so delicious! I did not realize there was a full breakfast, so that was delightful. I am a huge breakfast person, so thank you. The unlimited coffee and tea availability was excellent too. And the staff were all friendly and helpful. Lastly, I loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. I used them several times. Many thanks for making our stay so nice.

The bed was kind of soft and the pillows also. We use the memory foam pillows at home, which makes for a better sleep and better for neck and back issues, so those would have been nice to have.

Room was very nice Breakfast was very yummy Room and hotel were very clean, very nice Every employee I came across had a smile And were super nice to me The maid even asked me if I needed anything like new towels etc. and was super nice and friendly to me.! I actually couldn’t have asked for more!

When someone shut their door either above me or next to me or across from me, it made my door rattle however I fix that, and then it was perfectly quiet. 😊

The bed is extremely comfortable although the backend of the hotel, where my room was located, borders Hwy 101 which makes it a little noisy at night. The breakfast served is great with very attentive and pleasant service. Upon check in, fresh baked chocolate cookies available too! Overall, staff are very friendly and accommodating, greeting you with cheery hello in the morning - the only exception was the young man who checked me in on Thursday, the 25th - was abrupt and condescending for an initial distasteful experience - for example, asked where I might find the Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Guide and he waved abstractly with his arm "across the street" before going back to his computer ( I discovered later a turnstile in lobby where magazine was in abundance!) or when the key didn't open door and I asked for help, he rudely indicated "follow the arrow!" Which was true - but counter intuitive as arrow is in opposite direction of font for hotel name.

Check in was unpleasant but think that is attributed to personality of receptionist - believe his name was David? A business card on front desk indicated he might have been general manager? Hotel shows some wear and tear and shower is small but overall a good value for the money.

The staff are all incredible! Front desk folks were superb getting us off the a great start. We did not expect this place to feel so welcoming! The breakfast area was small but the food was great for this caliber of hotel. The basics were all there but the employees made the difference! All in all it way exceeded our expectations!

Dogs allowed and great long and wide grass area. Grass area is up to 4 blocks long for a good dog walk. Dog park 4 blocks away. Wineries are just past Solvang-- 15 min from hotel when no traffic. Industrial eats--great hidden gem for dinner (chef owner and operated)--less than 10 min from hotel. Great water pressure and hot breakfast included. Why would you stay anywhere else??

My wife and I had previously stayed at this property; since we were happy with the overall lodging experience at that time, this was a no-brainer re-book. Proximity to Solvang and so many vineyards, not to mention the Firestone-Walker taproom a stone's throw away, make this a perfect centralized location to stay.

I can't say anything negative about the staff or lodging; just the general now-customary acceptance of guests' pets. When you have family members that have severe, life-threatening allergies to cat hair, it presents an additional item to be aware of.
