Absolutely perfect location in Sonoma square next to the girl and the fig restaurant. Our room was above the bar, but we sleep with a fan and white noise app, so it didn’t bother us at all! It’s an old building, as sone have mentioned, so don’t expect a modern, state of the art space. This place is charming with lovely antiques, it’s clean, the bathroom had a cool claw foot tub, and the beds were very comfortable. You can walk all around the square to shop, eat, and wine taste (lots of tasting rooms around the square!), so for us, it was all about the location and having a comfy bed to sleep in. The price was excellent. We would absolutely stay at this charming place again!

We had no complaints. I could see how folks used to more modern hotels might not like having to take the stairs.

Great little hotel right on the square. I managed to get a very reasonably priced room the day before the 4th of July since we wanted a night away. The location (and hotel) exceeded expectations. The hotel has an incredible atmosphere and cozy rooms. We were able to step out the door and run into excellent dining/wine tasting. Would highly recommend for couples looking for a quick weekend away. We will be back as soon as we can!

You do need to alert them ahead of time when you are arriving as there are no staff manning the front desk. We pinged them an hour before arrival and they had someone there to give us keys, and explain the layout. Not a detractor, just something to know.

My fiancé stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay! From the staff to the room and hotel itself! So much charm and character! We had a lovely dinner at the girl and fig which is connected!

We were on the second floor so we heard the people staying above us throughout the stay. But quiet otherwise

Loved the history and view from our hotel window. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and thoughtfully let us keep our cheeses in her staff fridge. It was wonderful to have dinner just underneath where we were staying as well as visit the Tuesday night market across the street!

The length of our bed. It was a little too small for us both. Everything else about our room was great though!

it was in a perfect location to walk all around down town Sonoma. walked to dinner, the Sonoma Mission, shops.

no elevator and we were on the third floor! wish we had known that in advance. my husband has a bad knee and this made it difficult on him. never dawned on us that it would not have a elevator.

We did not eat breakfast there but at a darling and very good Sunflower Caffe across the street. Hotel oozes old time charm with the feel of 150 or so years ago, but, of course with all the modern amenities. Lobby charming and had free coffee available in the morning. There is a beautiful restaurant attached to the hotel which was VERY popular with hotel guests and non guests alike but it did not appear to be open for breakfast. Rooms are tiny but very well appointed. Worth it for the charm and location right on the town square.

Great bldg. eith European guesthouse feel. Above my favorite restaurant! Although many great places to dine/drink on the Square.

Contrary to other posters, the walls Are thin - the couple next door ... their tryst was Vocal and sounded like it was in My bath.

decor delightful! Bed very comfortable and room quiet.

Key to open door was tricky. Step to portico missing and scarey, looking like an accident waiting to happen, and not lit at night.

Outstanding location right by Sonoma Plaza. The staff was friendly.

Many small items needed repair. Toilet roll holder was falling out of the drywall. Sink fixture was loose enough to move easily by hand. Bathroom fan was squeaky old, and couldn't be kept on for long periods.

Location/price/quaintness

There is a step to enter with no rail or ramp. Handicap entrance was around the back through a restaurant. It was awkward and the employees were grumpy about me going through to get to the Hotel.
