I have been staying at the Jack London Lodge For over 50 years. I love it every time. It is a wee bit old style for the prices they need to charge, except for the rooms they have upgraded, but it is always clean and comfortable. On this visit I reserved 4 rooms and everyone was content. We had a dreamy dinner behind the Bar/ Saloon. It was an important family trip and I was grateful to get 4 rooms. We will return

The shower controller needs help. I am used to one that turns water on and off and the one in our room needed to be pulled to turn on and pushed to turn off. I mistakenly turned it to turn off and got scalding water between myself and the controller. I had to jump out of the tub to keep from getting scalded in order to push it back off. A wee bit scary and potentially dangerous. And fixable once noted.

Relatively affordable for Sonoma County. That’s no small thing, so kuddos to them. Very nice landscaping on the property which is next to a creek. Great pool and hot tub. Restaurant/pub attached to property is lively and they have well attended live music on Thursday 6-8. Less than 5 minute walk to full grocery store, bakery and good quality restaurant options in town. Town is charming. Staff was pleasant. Everything felt super clean. Would definitely recommend.

The rooms would benefit from an update. They feel very utilitarian—like the interior decorator decided “Okay, we will give them the essentials like a door, a window, a bed, a tv, and even a coffee machine…but nothing more.” Did not feel warm or fun at all. Could use a pop of color, even muted color so it feels like you are on vacation. Maybe a simple rug or some updated lamps or at least one more painting on the white walls?

I liked this place a lot. I got here late because of traffic so I missed the front office staff, but my key was waiting. The room was clean, the facilities were great. The room was quite quiet. I mean the area and room were perfect for a nice rest which is what I needed. The town isn't large but we were right around the corner from a nice saloon and restaurant. I'd happily visit again and I would recommend this place heartedly to anyone else visiting the area. I was on ym way up north, but I'd defiantly consider staying here again. The room was clean, and looked very nice. No complaints.

No complaints really, the owners seem to work hard on taking care of the property.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the pool and garden very well kept! Felt like a secret garden and enjoyed our morning swim and hot tub time there! Check in was super easy, and liked how intimate and safe the hotel felt. Great location in Glen Ellen to the bakery and Glen Ellen Star and our friends house.

Only issue was the TV in our room didnt work, so my son was bummed but because it was just one night it was fine.

The location is stunning. The grounds and nature surrounding the lodge are breathtaking. The little town of Glen Ellen is beautiful and charming. The rooms need a renovation, but the price is right the way that it is. Clean and simple. Across the way from the lodge there is a great grocery store and an authentic french patisserie.

The pool and hot tub were exceptional and the views around the grounds are just wow.

The location was ideal for us. It was less than ten minutes from the wedding venue. Glen Ellen is a truly quaint community. And although cars run a bit fast, walking is feasible for walking the main area of town. Our room was also in an ideal location for my aging parents - just across from the main office and a short walking distance to the parking lot.

Open hours for the front office weren't ideal.

Property and staff were great. However when we checked in they said our reservation through booking.com was denied. We were traveling with another couple and their reservation through booking was also denied. Jack London was a little frustrated but did check us in. They said they would call booking and straighten out. Not sure what happened but if jack london hadn’t been so accommodating it could have turned into a bad situation.

Bed was super comfy. Room was clean.

Man at the front desk was very rude and not helpful. Hotel is a bit of an enigma -- the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was quiet. But, furnishings are old, and tile, grout and bathroom fixtures need updates. Cracks around the shower.

I liked being in a small quiet town but with all we needed close by. Loved being on the creek and the pool was wonderful.

It could stand to be updated a little bit but all the important things seemed new and nice-bed, sheets

There was no breakfast available at this lodge, but the manager suggested a place within walking distance for an excellent breakfast. The room and lavatory area were very spacious, and the manager, not only seemed interested in giving us the 2nd floor room with the best view across the small parking lot into the autumn-foliaged trees along the picturesque Sonoma Creek, but she was also very quick to address a small problem with our blinds in our room.

The Jack London Lodge has been on these premises for a long, long time, while still managing to maintain their up-to-date accommodations. There is nothing we can say that could improve on the many things they are doing right!
