I liked the breakfast, was clean with some updates, my housekeeper, didn't get her name she was a tall black lady, the desk attendant who checked me in who is also a black female and Adrian grounds keeper!

Hot tub not working, pool was FREEZING! Knowing it gets chilly at night why would you not have a heated pool or use a solar cover...SOMETHING! I felt sorrynfor.the kids. The remote to the TV was not user friendly and the assesibility menu kept coming on and could not get it off, and if I brought my Roku, I would not be able to set it up.

Very welcoming staff. Great warm pool and hot tub. We had a big room with 2 queens which was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great black-out blind. Decent breakfast.

It was expensive for a fairly basic hotel, though close to Thanksgiving which probably boosted prices. Would have been good to have a highchair in the breakfast restaurant. You can't really walk anywhere from there, you need to drive the mile or so into 29 Palms and restaurants etc. There's a supermarket across the street but very tricky to get there on foot.

Very accommodating evening desk clerk. He quickly switched my room across the hall when there was a bit of a room issue. The next day after the issue in my original room was corrected, I was able to move back to original (quieter) room after spending the day in the park. Breakfast was great and breakfast staff cheerful and helpful. Proximity to JTNP and visitor center excellent. The king suite room type is surprising large! Many electrical outlets and USB ports in room!

Light sleepers should request rooms that do not face 29 Palms main street (forgetting exact name). Very few restaurant options in an area that actually seemed busier than I expected- I ended up waiting over an hour at a local Thai restaurant before food was served by overworked and under resourced restaurant staff.

This is the second Holiday Inn Express that we stayed in, and I continue to be impressed. Yet again, the breakfast options were still wonderful and kept fresh and well-stocked by friendly and responsive staff. The room was clean and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were quick and painless. I stayed during an intense heatwave, and the in-unit AC was much quieter and more efficient than expected. Compared to other hotels, the climate was very comfortable.

Room is big and relatively clean. It is also very close to one of the entrances to Joshua Tree. Ample parking lots right outside the hotel. There is free breakfast although the choices are not the best. They offer free coffee/tea in the lobby so that's a really nice touch. There is a gym although I did not manage to check it out.

There were some marks around the sink which suggest that the cleaning wasn't as thorough. Other than that, the rest of the room is very clean. I was also a little disappointed that the swimming pool does not look like anything that is shown in their photos. It also looks like no one has been in the pool in a long time.

The rooms were a good size with a large comfortable bed. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

I was disappointed to see that plastic cutlery, cups and plates were used at breakfast which are all then thrown away. There were also plastic/paper disposable cups in the rooms instead of glass. It would be more environmentally friendly to use china plates and cups etc.

Nice hotel. Clean and quiet if on the back street. Nice outdoor swimming pool. Breakfast: continental from Holiday Inn so acceptable.

Booking cancelled my room without any notice the day before our arrival. Fortunately the hotel still had a room available. Twentynine Palms is not really a nice location. It is just ok for a short stop on the way to San diego.

One of the most cleanest inns I have stay, the staff that was working at our check in is one of the most friendly I have meet... Customer service wise also was really friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable, excellent A/C that is important in this kind of desert. Our room was the suite with a small studio that was perfect for myself, we were traveling for my certification exam in the test center nearby. So it was nice my companion were able to sleep without me burning the midnight oil keeping them awake. WiFi speed was also quite nice and not accidental disconnect. Gym and pool was in great condition from what I was told.

The black out curtains don't go all the way down so it was difficult to start a midday nap.

The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and everything was decorated with good taste. They even have a fitness room and a pool but we didn't have time to go there. It was located in the middle of a little town which had lots of options for food, and also was very close to joshua tree national park.

The staff were a bit odd, the woman making the food was training to work at disney or something and didn't stop singing for the whole breakfast. But that didn't bother us that much, it was just entertaining😅

Very noisy as on the highway. Bring earplugs, disappointed that the hotel didn’t have any? Breakfast is extremely basic. For a holiday inn, they could do better Swimming pool is very small and no lounges, badly exposed
