When I first got there, I was unsure about whether I couldn't have done better with the location or the room, but once I drove around Manitou Springs a little more, I realized I had gotten really lucky. Here's why: I passed the newer, chain hotels with the people staring out of their windows-don't-open rooms at the traffic. They couldn't get to the touristy part of Manitou Springs without taking their car. Then, I went the other direction and saw the really, really touristy section of the street and traffic was a nightmare! The Villa Motel, on the other hand, is located just far enough from the tourist mess that you can easily walk there, but you don't have to deal with it every time you want to go anywhere. Plus, as an extra added bonus, the staff was very knowledgeable and considerate. I'd definitely stay again.

The staircase to get to the second floor is too narrow when you're carrying stuff. :)

Conveniently located so you can walk to downtown. It is directly across from the bus stop where you can take shuttle to Pike Peak and Manitou Incline and Barr Trail. Friendly staff and has self service laundry if you need it, I used it a couple of times since I get myself dirty doing outdoor activities, it's convenient to have. The staff can exchange quarters if you need it. I don't have any cons I can think of. Nothing glaring that I can think of but I am a simple guy so I don't need much to satisfy me. They had what I needed to enjoy my vacay.

The inside was a pleasant surprise after the somewhat rundown looking outside. The room was clean and surprisingly well supplied. The linens were a good quality and comfortable. The staff was great. The location was ideal for our needs and it was a tremendous benefit to be able to keep our cars there for the day while we took the shuttles.

The room had a fairly strong disinfectant odor. The air conditioner had an issue but we were able to make it work (and they thanked us for pointing it out so they could fix it). The pillows could use a refresh. Breakfast between 7-9:30 was useless for us.

Its is what it is; an older "Motel"... so providing your not looking for the Raffles Singapore its great. It's clean, was not noisy and is directly across from the towns free Incline shuttle. We go down once a year to walk it and this place is situated perfectly. We walk out of the room, across the street and hop on the shuttle. Back before checkout so we don't have to hassle with the car. We will do it again.

Mattress is REALLY soft and NOT supportive... sucks.

Fantastic location! Short walk to the main part of town and shopping. Across the street to the free bus that will take you to the Pikes Peak Cog Rail or the Incline. Staff was friendly, room was large, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple. Packaged pastries or oatmeal, juice and coffee. But it was included. Booking directly through the hotel would have saved me a little money and the parking fee but it was still a great deal.

Happy with the stay

The property was wonderful it was clean, very spacious and we loved how close to all the shops it was we could walk from the hotel to any shop or restaurant we wanted. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. It was a wonderful stay!

At the current moment cleaning of the room only happens on your third day of the stay if it’s longer that 3 days due to staffing issues. Honestly though we didn’t find it to be an issue as, if you up keep on some things yourself it’s truly not bad.

I liked the clean, comfortable room & perfect location. Located across the street is a shuttle that will take you to the incline/cog. A 5 min walk to downtown Manitou Springs. About a 35 min walk to the Garden of the Gods. The staff is very nice, friendly, & helpful.

Breakfast is continental, so there are no protein options.

Breakfast was adequate , items neatly organized. The Motel's location is ideal--within walking distance of downtown, and conveniently located across the street from a shuttle bus stop. Belladonna and Keira, the two young ladies in the office, were sincerely helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and requests. Cleanliness was top notch in the rooms, on the grounds, and in the swimming pool area

The location was perfect for walking to and from the downtown area. The pool was great for cooling off and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

The $10 fee per night for using a 3rd party was a surprise, but they said to call them directly and book for a better rate for next time.

Great location good internet

Stairs were very tight , rooms very dated needs a refresh cracked sink and shower from the 1970’s plastic screen and 1 degree between scolding and freezing, also if biiked via booking.com they add extra for parking at a motel it’s like paying for a plate at a restaurant
