We loved this lodge! Our room was on the second floor with a small mountain view. The decor was beautiful, and the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the coffee choices for the mini Keurig in the room. The shower was wonderful with plenty of pressure and hot water! We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub or the sauna, but it's on our list for the next visit. The staff was wonderful, so friendly and accommodating! We love Salida and this location was just perfect for us. The continental breakfast was wonderful and had a great selection of items. We will definitely be back to stay at the Silver Ridge Lodge again - we loved it!

The room beside us had two large dogs in it. The people left their room and the dogs barked off and on until they returned. Thankfully they returned before we were ready to go to sleep.

From start (with Joe) to finish everything about this stay was beyond wonderful! We have stayed at this property over the years but there are so many outstanding upgrades. Got to meet the person who did a lot of the work - exceptional. The room was homey (meant in a positive way) with nice bedding and furniture and new carpet and very clean. The property had places for our dog to get out and she was welcomed along with us. Very pet friendly for well behaved dogs! Just got coffee on way out but guests were enjoying sitting inside and on patio. Will definitely make this our choice stay. Don't let the unassuming facade fool you - it's a great property! Wonderful staff!

We were pleasantly surprised! The rooms are clean and the most comfortable bed we have ever stayed in at a hotel! They have everything you could need in your room including coffee, mini refrigerator, microwave, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and even snack for the humans and a treat for a pet! The continental breakfast area is clean, well stocked, and staffed by the most friendly people ! We did not get to take advantage of the hot tub or sauna, but love that it was available! The hotel is only 4 minutes from downtown and has a beautiful view of the mountains. We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Salida!

This was our first time staying in a motel/ lodge, coming from the UK. It was so clean, comfortable, easy and quiet. The bed was soft and really comfortable, I slept really well. There was a big tv, little kitchenette area with a coffee machine, fridge and microwave, super clean sink area. Check in was easy. The breakfast is simple and you help yourself but we enjoyed a little sausage and egg muffin before hitting the road. Would stay again!

This is basically a typical, roadside motel--except it is a very nice one compared to the usual somewhat shabby presentation. The place was very clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The facilities have been nicely upgraded with all pretty new finishes. The location is very convenient with highway access but close to downtown center. I was pleased to be there whereas typical roadside hotels are never pleasing! Keep it up.

The house keeper forgot to refill the soap in shower. All I got was one squirt. That was the only disappointment.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Our room was large and comfortable with a toilet + shower and mini-fridge. The bed was incredibly comfortable and luxurious and we slept like babies! We brought our two dogs to the property and the room was more than spacious enough to hold their two kennels, our bags, and still allow us to move comfortably around the room. Staff at the property adorably left a bag of mini milkbone treats and doggy waste bags that our pups (and we) greatly appreciated! We woke up around 9:00am the next morning and walked over to check out breakfast. It was a generous spread of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cereals, juice, and coffee. Parking was ample and while there was some highway noise, it was not disruptive or intrusive. We loved this property and will be back!

Nice design of the room. Windows that opened a fresh Colorado air. Reading lights on both sides of the bed. Coffee maker in room along with mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom around the corner from the bed so that the light doesn’t bother your partner. Clean, fluffy towels. Nice coffee cups. Very comfy non-scary recliner chair and a desk with a chair. Perfect for how we travel.

The bed was a bit wiggly and soft. Next time I would go for two queens so I don’t bug my partner.

The crew have obviously worked hard, and paid attention to detail to create an independent motel that is affordable, clean, and very relaxing to vacation in. Things here are just done right, and everyone on the team seems on board with delivering the quality experience… From the staff doing the hard work of cleaning the rooms, to the staff doing the hard work of running the front office, opening up the saunas and Jacuzzis, and everyone just being on board with delivering a little gem of an experience. My wife and I were the first to get to use the new saltwater hot tub room. These little touches make you feel like you’re participating in a thoughtful work of art, not just a corporation’s marketing plan to make more money in the cheapest cookie cutter way possible. The fact that everything was all included is a huge bonus that will bring us back. Believe the reviews; this place is a little gem , and we hope it thrives.

Really, nothing negative comes to mind. I guess, considering the uniqueness of the hotel, I was hoping breakfast would be a little beyond what you would get at a Holiday Inn, but it was clean, free and totally fine and it all works.

Cute motel with nicely redecorated rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the motel is set back from the road so it's quiet. We had a "mountain view king" room and it did indeed have a mountain view! We appreciated the thoughtful touches like a patio seating area outside, candy and dog treats on the desk, and utensils and plates in the room in case you bring leftovers back from dinner. Will definitely stay again!

The updates are fun and cozy giving this old motel new life. They have done a great job with the details making this place really feel like a lodge. It is a well run property with friendly and helpful staff.

The only issue we had was a slow draining tub but the maintenance person found us and talked to us about it the next morning before we even had to mention anything. (Sounds like he found out about the issue by the time we were already in the room and they are ready to take care of the issue before the next guests arrive). Overall it was not a big issue for us but glad to hear they are on top of things.
