Mike who checked me in was super friendly and helpful, and knew all about Salida as a local. All the staff were extra friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable during my short stay. The room was quiet and comfortable. I found the bed to be exceptionally comfortable for this type of property. I was able to easily get anywhere in town from here by bike.

Air conditioning was not working during my stay, and this was not posted on booking.com or the property website.

We stayed in a private room (rather than bunk room). Being a 'hostel' our expectations were a little lower than a regular hotel, but our room far exceeded our expectations. Clean, quiet, comfy - private bath. Loved it. Had the benefit of a shared kitchen (and fridge) of a hostel, but super nice and private room like a hotel. Location was excellent too - along the river and short walk along the path to town. Highly recommend the Salida Inn & Hostel!

It’s a cozy older home just on the edge of downtown Salida. The beautiful river walk is right behind the house. The neighborhood was quiet even though the house is located on a main road. The bed was very comfortable.

Our window looked out onto backyards and parking spots for adjacent rental properties. We would have liked it if the window blind came down from the top vs the lifting up from the bottom so we could have more privacy and still enjoy the view of the mountains in the distance.

Don’t be put-off by the ‘Hostel’ here. This is a hostel with private rooms as well . The rooms are clean, and very comfortable. You can access the hostel’s kitchen and every morning there is coffee and home baked muffins. The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us lots of info on where to eat and what to do. The hostel is an easy walk into Salida, which is a beautiful town and a great place just to hang out

Loved it all, including the fact that the rooms have no television !

This was my second time staying at The Salida Inn and Hostel. The family room on the first floor is very spacious. The Salida Inn is just a short walk to downtown, allowing for easy access to local shops and restaurants while enjoying a calm and relaxing environment. The bathroom was well-equipped and featured thoughtful amenities, including feminine care products, which were greatly appreciated.

Lovely stay in the family room with my walking group friends . Host was attentive. Muffins, coffee and tea available. Short walk to the Salida River trail and 1/2 mile to downtown. Enjoyed the communal areas inside and outside. Enjoyed visiting with other guests. Again the family room was a hit. Very clean and comfortable. Had lots of fun in Salida.

Comfy, clean, and the suite we had was more spacious than I expected. The guy working there was really friendly and helpful.

I didn't realize how far it was from downtown, and I was surprised that there wasn't a path along the river (no fault of the hostel, obviously!). But the loaner bikes were great for making it a quick ride to downtown.

We have stayed at the Salida Inn and Hostel before, no reason to check other places to stay while visiting Salida. Great location, great staff, great price, great being able to use the kitchen to make our meals and eat in, we enjoy relaxing on the sofas in the living room, It’s all good.

We appreciated the flexibility of the staff so much, and being able to use the kitchen to cook our meals was so helpful for us. We were very comfortable in our room.

Some of the kitchen utensils could use some cleaner options like sponges, towels, and dish drainers. It helps guests want to use kitchen items more

Very clean, spacious room, keypad entry, kitchen supplies were well labeled. Interesting books. Nearby trail along river and wildlife viewing area. Walking distance to historic downtown.

No complaints. Markedly better than a hostel we stayed in recently in Leadville.
