The first thing I liked was the management going out of their way to absorb a communication problem about my having brought my dog with me. They didn’t get that information through booking.com as they should have and had to make a special accommodation for me and my dog. I really liked the management. The room was perfect for my dog and me. I also loved how the hotel was so nicely decorated. It gave a unique and warm feeling about the place you wouldn’t find at any standard hotel.

It would have been better for both the management and me if I had booked directly with them rather than through booking.com. What I didn’t like had nothing to do with the hotel, but with my schedule. I would have loved to have the time to use the hot tub.

The room was ample in size & comfortable. The breakfast room was well-stocked with a nice variety throughout the allotted hours, and was kept clean. Our host was friendly and unobtrusively attentive! Loved the murals on the walls in our room!

Although my bed linens were freshly laundered, there were blood stains on the top sheet. I found that uncomfortable, but did not report it, as it was late when discovered. No maid service during our stay unless requested was both a positive (no intrusion) & a negative (no fresh linens or towels or soap). We should have requested the service, so that’s on us.

It isn't often that a motel room is found to be spotlessly clean. My room at Brown's Canyon Inn was spotless! Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was light and really nice. The funky decor outside and surrounding the property was an added treat. Thank you, and I would be glad to recommend the Inn to friends and family staying in that area of the state.

The property was really well presented, loved all the lovely displays around the motel. Felt very cosy and welcoming. We informed the motel we would be arriving late after checkin closed. Cathy very kindly accommodated us and made arrangements for our room key. We would most definitely recommend this lovely motel to anyone. It was very clean and fresh.

The room had no facilities to make hot drinks.

The facility was and older building that has been updated throughout and was very clean. The staff were helpful and attentive. I worried that the close proximity to US50 might make it noisy, but that was not the case (full disclosure - we were on the back side of the building, away from the highway).

This is minor. Our bed was very soft. We're used to a firm mattress, so that was a minor negative.

Best place in town for a very nice and comfortable stay, you feel welcomed and cared for. Beds are awwwsome!! The breakfast selection is great, something for everyone. Facilities very clean. Staff is excellent.

Each time we stay here its never enough time. I didn't like a raccoon out back wouldn't pose long enough for a photo. Grr I didn't like all the rain which came and gave the town too many mosquito's. There is nothing bad to say about this place for real, I was just filling in this box in hopes you read how great this place is. You MUST stay here, just not when I need to so there's room for me. You can thank me later. (wink)

The decor—old-world Polish mountain hotel—was completely charming and a welcome change from the bland decor of hotel chains. Wood finishes and delightful kitsch everywhere.

It was hard to find coming from the north and making our way through Salida. It would be straightforward coming from the south.

Loved the rustic design and furnishings. Our room was clean and roomy. Breakfast was very fresh—good coffee, breakfast burritos and sandwiches in a very cozy setting. Felt homey.

The reception desk was unmanned when we arrived in the afternoon, when we passed by going out and coming back from dinner, and in the morning. We rang a bell, and someone emerged from behind a closed door. Not welcoming .

Everywhere in Brown's Canyon Inn was super clean. Not a speck of dust on any of the decorations or carpets. The breakfast was plentiful and of a good variety. The outdoor area was also extremely clean and well kept. The beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable. All of the staff were very nice.
