It's impossible to say enough good things about Zota Beach Resort. Every single employee we came into contact with for any reason, was so kind, helpful and informative. The check in process is quick and seamless. The rooms are QUIET AT NIGHT. My husband and I have had to leave our last 3 hotels after only 1 night due to noise at night and inability to sleep. The pool is closed at sundown so nobody is out there being loud until 1am keeling people awake. No boom boxes are allowed either so no noise there. The pool restaurant/bar are great and so convenient...right by the pool and close to you as you walk off the beach. Almost every doorway is automatic so you don't have to fumble if your hands are full walking around the resort. You rent a beach umbrella from Zota and 2 lounge chairs are complimentary. So no lugging all your beach stuff back and forth. They set up the chairs and umbrella for you! The rooms are just perfection! The air conditioner is COLD and wonderful!! Florida is HOT and nothing felt better than to get back to your room and walk into a nice cool room. Every single light worked in the room. Spotlessly clean. Big glass shower!! Bed was so comfy and there are floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gulf depending on your room. In room mini fridge that actually gets cold! Easy to use TV. The beach is literally a 3 min walk from any of the rooms. Pure white sand, gorgeous green glass water. Completely uncrowded beach. Valets park your car and its only takes a few seconds to get it back. There isn't one single thing i would change a kit Zota. If you're looking for a classy, clean, gorgeous beach resort where everything is spotlessly clean, they have excellent customer service,and the beach looks like a calendar shot, this is your place. Never have we wanted to leave somewhere less. Cannot wait to go back!!!!

I wouldn't change one thing about Zota!

Location was outstanding. The staff was very attentive and the Manager Rod is very active and involved. Dan the concierge was terrific setting things up and check in was a breeze with Kim. What is really nice is your resort fee includes valet parking and water in the rooms as well as beach towels, lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach and digging toys for the kids to make sand castles

Minor details in this older hotel that was previously Renovated but repairs were taken care of swiftly.

Very clean property inside and out.

Very slow, poor service in an empty restaurant for dinner. 45 minutes to get crab cakes & a salad, would not refill water glasses, despite walking by numerous times. Staff needs training. Outdoor pool area staff was MIA…would disappear for an hour at a time. Didn’t circulate enough, inattentive & very slow to even acknowledge your presence. Food in both locations were ok, not great, not bad, just ok but definitely overpriced.

Location, how small is was so it couldn’t get crowded and the food was excellent.

That when I booked it, it has 2 parts, meaning 2 buildings. On the right is the old side where it was the Hilton. When you book it they don’t tell you which side. So ask them because we had to be moved because I wasn’t paying $525 for the older room, they need to lower those prices on that building. They explained that Long boat key has many rules and regulations and they try to remodel as much as possible.

I love the location and the hotel itself is very nice. You can't expect less from the Opal Collection so very nice the rooms, pool, best giant Jacuzzi and the location is just perfect. Food at the bar was great.

The breakfast buffet should be complimentary. The restroom in the room should have a handle to push it because it is so heavy to move and the pool should be painted so it doesn't look dirty but it is a great pool and Jacuzzi.

It was a quick in and out after a concert. We ended up extending our stay a bit to enjoy the beach. We saw a manatee and a pod of Dolphins which was cool. We ate breakfast overlooking the pool and beach and it was very reasonable and great food. We used some beach chairs and they had staff at the beach to take care you you as well. If we are in the area again we will for sure book again.

I can't say this was bad as they were completely booked the next day but we asked for an late check out as we got in at 1am the morning before and they gave it to us but charge use $50 for the 2 hours.

We had an awesome room on the fourth floor with a view of the pool and partial view of the gulf,the sunset was perfectly framed between two palm trees every single night we were there, and we saw the green flash two nights! The pool is very big although there were a lot of very small children and it was actually closed for a few hours due to “code Brown” because a small child pooped in the pool. But the beach is very close and very inviting!

The only suggestion I would have for this property is to have an adult pool

We chose a superior room with a sea view. The room was large and comfortable. On the first day after a long drive we didn't feel like going out so we ordered room service and ate on the balcony watching the sun set. We didn't use the pool but sitting on the balcony with the sea breeze was very relaxing.

We went out on Wednesday morning and our room wasn't made up when we returned. It's always awkward when the maid tidies the room when you are in it.

Service everywhere in the hotel was outstanding!

I didn't like that when we booked our room through booking.com, it made it seem like we were getting a full ocean view room, but the hotel said they don't even put their full ocean view rooms on booking.com, so we only got a partial ocean view. I feel like that was VERY misleading and would not have booked the room if I had known that. I expressed my concerns to the hotel and they stated that they really had no control over that. I was not happy with that. However, the room we had was beautiful and the hotel itself was fantastic, but booking.com is apparently very deceiving.

The staff was all very friendly. We enjoyed the beach, pool and restaurant while we were there. We didn’t meet one unfriendly staff member. Dominic at the beach was very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him.

I wish the restaurant at the pool had longer hours. I would have liked some of the sandwich selections for dinner rather than the full plates at the restaurant. Also I wish the coffee in the lobby would have been available at 6:30.
