The location of the property was a big selling point for us, along with its Art Deco architecture. It’s right in Ocean Drive, you cross the road and the grassed area and you’re at the beach volleyball courts, behind that is the beach! You go go from your bed to the beach in less than 10 minutes. The staff were so friendly, happy to chat, and really helpful. Celine booked us in and she was a joy.

The bathrooms, lift and hotel corridors need a refresh. The room was in very good condition, although a light near the mirror by the door would’ve been helpful.

Lovely art deco hotel right on the main Ocean Dr strip. Excellent location. Good value for money compared to other properties in the area. Nice spacious clean room and nicely decorated throughout. Restaurant was closed when we were there for renovation. I was worried about the parking situation after reading previous reviews however needn't have worried. The hotel provided a map to the nearest parking lot which charged $20 for 24 hours and had lots of free spaces even though we arrived at 9pm. The hotel also provided valet parking for $35 if we had wanted. They provided free luggage storage the day of check out as we weren't leaving the area right away. Lots of other hotels nearby refuse to do this. I had an issue with the deposit not being refunded to my card. On investigation it was the bank's fault being slow, the hotel had released the transaction the day of check out. The hotel was very responsive to my emails after check out, were very helpful and provided the information I needed very quickly which let the bank locate the transaction and fix the problem.

Colonel Hotel is right in middle of South beach Miami, with lots of restaurants, shops and entertainment. Directly across from the beach. Great walking and sightseeing! My room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff - especially Mariana - was SO helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to assist and accommodate me when I asked for anything. Excellent front desk clerk!

Loved the room and the service.

If you're prioritizing location this is the best stay (: right on ocean drive with minutes walk to the beach, we barely stayed in the room. The cleanliness of the facility was acceptable, just a small hiccup with the first room not having been cleaned, but the staff fixed it right away and at 11pm at night. The staff was ALWAYS available and willing to help with anything. We were even given a free night at mangos (club about 10min walk away). This is not the stay if you're looking for luxury, but absolutely the stay for a Miami vacay with sun and fun 🌞

The hotel is of course beautiful and perfectly located. The downstairs restaurant is also surprisingly good. It is dedicated to Scarface movie which is pretty cool. Bed was comfortable and it had the biggest tv I've ever seen in a hotel. Price was great.

The room is a bit too small and it does not have electricity sockets visible, likely due to being a very old building. I had to fully move the bed in order to charge my cellphone. Also we were lucky to have been placed on the 3rd floor because the street and restaurant noise you can hear from the 2nd and 1st floor is huge. Still you could hear everything from the other rooms, sound needs improvement.

I mean... it's the Colony Hotel right in the middle of the Ocean Drive. You don't book a room there by accident. :-D The location is absolutely speaking for itself, and the rooms are of course old, as is the whole building, but are so far in acceptable shape. The staff was extraordinarily polite and helpful, and the facilities (restaurant area outside, lounge and bar inside) were really nice. The food and drinks are of course pricey due to the location, but the meals were surprisingly good and the pprtions not to small.

The only thing that really bothered us was the AC that unfortunately distributed some sort of moisture smell in our room. We turned it off and resorted to the ceiling fan, and of course informed the staff. I assume that the filter or maybe the whole unit needs to be replaced. Other than that, we were very satisfied.

Israel is 5 stars, great front desk manager, splendid customer service. The entire staff at hotel and restaurant make up for the fact that hotels aren’t great value in south beach. But it’s a nice art deco classic hotel in ideal location with great staff! I highly recommend the place!

Little things need to change in south beach. Ex. No coffee refills and always getting customer for another buck. Colony and Montana’s are actually better than most of the rip-off establishments in Miami. Sell sell sell-but it’s slowly losing its luster for a number of reasons.

Location is great right on Ocean drive with easy access to the beach. Few parking lots nearby too which are handy. The staff is so nice and friendly especially Celine from the reception was so nice! She was chatty without being too much, friendly and funny she even got us a treat for the birthday of one of us. They are lucky to have her!

Maybe the cleanliness could improve a bit. We did not want service every day but even on the days when we requested service the floor was quite messy. Of course guests go to the beach and a hoover here and there to remove the sand would be appreciated I think.

It had an elevator so that I didn’t have to carry my luggage up the stairs. It also had a very nice lobby. The staff was very nice. It was neat to hear about the history of the filming of scar face being filmed there. I had never even watched the movie or heard anything about it before staying here. So thanks for introducing me to the movie and having a car sitting outside with Scarface sitting inside it. That was fun. When I say the staff is amazing I mean it. Everyone we had encountered was very nice they also knew English which I discovered is something hard to find in the area. They helped us with our luggage. Gave us a great rundown of the area. There is a CVS that has everything you could need right next door from food to beach items. We loved the view of the palm trees and park a crossed the street from the hotel. It was beautiful. The beach is right behind it a very short walk which they give you towels to go visit. When we visit next time I hope to stay here again. Thanks again everyone that helped me and my daughters. We had never been to an area like this before being from Missouri and enjoyed it so very much. Thanks again for a reasonable stay and great memories.

The air conditioning could have been a bit cooler. We also came from an area that was 30* outside to 80 * weather so it might not be that fair to make as a statement.

Everything 🤩 Especially, the STAFF ! The only is & has always been just The Best ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WES & CHRIS , has THE BEST , customer service in MIAMI 👍👍 This was the first time I have been there since the remodeling. And, it's just beautiful 😍 The outdoor seating & the bar , is just so great. The bartender is one of the best on ocean drive. Great Guy! And all of the waiters & waitress are great as well ! Keep up the great work, Colony Crew 💪

I not one that really complains about the simple things.And I can't think of anything major. I always enjoy my stay when I stay at The Colony 🤩
