Great location, 5 minutes to the beach. Nearby there is a shop open 24/7 and La sandwicherie South Beach. The staff at the reception are very helpful, patient and friendly. Room clean. The bathroom was clean and spacious enough. Breakfast is okay - cheese, ham, toast, water, juice, cereal and milk. The hotel provides beach chairs and towels. Good wi-fi. Air conditioning in the room, easy to use. $200 deposit refunded fully and immediately upon check-out.

This property exceeded all expectations: The room was very nicely appointed and quiet. The staff was more than helpful and accommodating. The Continental breakfast was very, very good and didn't not disappoint. Best of all it was a great location without any pesky "resort fees" that rarely provide anything of use. Will stay there again.

The only drawback to this property is parking. There is a city lot very close by, but it was closed for a deep cleaning the whole time we were in town. That said, there was another garage five blocks aways. It was double the cost and was cash in advance but did provide in/out privileges. The property would be well served to advised people in advance that there is a dedicated loading zone in front of the hotel and what parking options are available, so you don't have to drive around looking. Otherwise, tremendous place.

I recently stayed at the Shepley Hotel in Miami Beach. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself is charming. The room was clean, cozy. Its location is also fantastic—just steps away from the beach and close to all the best restaurants and shops. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Every staff member I interacted with was kind, knowledgeable, and eager to help, making sure I had everything I needed during my stay. I highly recommend Shepley Hotel for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience in Miami Beach.

The location is perfect, people are very friendly and the rooms are very clean.

The breakfast could be better and there is not much space for eating it.

The exterior is comparatively unassuming - a white stucco building in the middle part of a block in South Beach, but the minute I walked in, I knew I was someplace wonderful - the lobby was cool, and smelled wonderful, and looked unique - this is not your average Holiday Inn looking place. The staff was so nice, and while I'm not quite sure how someone who was in a wheelchair would manage all the steps (there is a handicapped entrance, so there's a way - but there are steps off the street, and another set of maybe 5 steps from the lobby to the single hallway), it's beautifully appointed and peaceful. The room was glorious - we had the last room at the end of a hallway covered in photos; inside, the floor was smooth-sanded pale pine, and the room was huge - ample space for a king sized bed and a full living area with couch and chairs, plus a desk and a huge closet. The bathroom was likewise enormous, and had several fixtures which looked original, from the black and white checkerboard floor tile to the 2 vanity sinks. I loved the Shepley - we will be back. Food and entertainment and the beach are between 1 and 2 blocks away, which was perfect. The breakfast is mostly continental; we went to a restaurant, but the families munching down looked happy with it.

Parking. Parking was awful. The attendant in the lobby told us we could park in the deck across the street, but it was full. South Beach is not good for parking at all - next time, we will uber and rent bikes. The shower is a converted full size tub, which sounds good, but it's very deep and the shower head is oddly heavy - I'd be careful with it, although it looked like a good place for a soak. We struggled a bit with finding plugs for the phones, and there was not anything resembling a view, unless one likes parking lots - but again, it's on the main drag in South Beach. If you want a view, get out and walk!

Location was perfect for our travel plans, the room was comfortable and all the common areas are so cozy and welcoming. Breakfast is good, enough items, the only thing is to avoid the peak hour to find a good place to sit and enjoy the food.

Everything was perfect. I stood for 8 nights with my wife and family. If I would have a complaint, it is not about the hotel, but some customers making great noise and loud conversation late at night. As a suggestion the hotel could place some motivational phrases to remember the customers to keep quieter at late hours. I had to open my room door almost midnight and ask them to be silent, as no one from the hotel team gave them an advice of silent zone. (important, they were making all noise in the rooms corridor, not in the reception or common area).

Cute boutique hotel & super friendly staff. The ambiance as soon as we walked in was inviting. Our room was perfect for the 3 days we stayed before our cruise & the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good for a quick bite with several choices to choose from. The beach was a block away & easy to walk to with many restaurants along the way or ocean front dining. We would definitely stay again, but possibly only for one night pre-cruise.

The only negative was that the guest staying above you can be heard walking loudly really early in the morning & at times sounded like they were jumping around & going to come through the ceiling. My advice is to ask to have a room upstairs to avoid any disruption while trying to sleep. Other than that, our stst was pleasant.

Nice lobby facilities and veranda onto the street. Coffee making facilities in the lobby also. They also gave beach chairs and brolies to customers to use free of charge

I emailed a few days before I arrived asking that my 4 day booking be reduced to 3 as I had made a mistake but I felt no effort was made to facilitate me. They could have said "if we are able to let the room for that night they would do so and refund me".....but no.

One of my best stays in a while. B.com has been misrepresenting properties and refusing to ensure the amenities advertised are provided. Not so with Shepley - this place was exactly as advertised, and very well implemented. Beds were comfy, rooms were quiet given how noisy the location is - and location was ideal with hotel a block off the more rowdy beach/parkside street. Our bathroom was spacious and stunning with bathrobes and a proper soaking tub. Room smelled amazing. Staff were helpful and provided accurate information. Breakfast was pretty good, and both the foyer and outside patio are nice places to enjoy. The espresso machine is a great touch. Great (and necessary) to have fridge in room. No hidden fees. Paid parking in garage nearby, as advertised. (Not on-site- this is part of the standard description). Well done, highly recommend.

There was no microwave available anywhere. Would be good to have one for heating coffee / breads at breakfast.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, loved the retro decor, the room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Towels and beach chairs were provided, and we could leave our luggage in reception after checking out of the room - enabling us to explore the local area before boarding our cruise.

It would have been nice to have a dining area to eat the complimentary breakfast, rather than sitting on the recpetion area sofas or out on the front balcony in the heat. The food in the self-serve breakfast area seemed to almost run out by 9am.
