Room was excellent. Stocked very well with all the needs. Bedding was excellent, Pool area was beautiful!! Loved the beach bar location. Beach was beautiful! The house cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked them to take our luggage up to the room. The woman cleaning staff were lovely!!!

Upon check-in the young staff members were not very helpful in planning our stay in references to restaurants, bike rentals and any other information that would of been useful to learn from a local. We had to find the local booklet on our own and a day late.

Very close to beach 1minute walk. All new.

Loved all of the accommodations! Will absolutely return . Beautiful property and super polite,hard working staff to assure that everyone’s expectations were met . The free use of high quality beach chairs and luxurious towels that never ran out was a huge plus !!!

The pond on the side of the resort may have been the cause for the continued no see um attacks when we were on our ocean front balcony.By the end of the trip we could not enjoy our balcony coffee due to the insects. Can the resort spray the property ? The purchased repellent sprays were ineffective .

Room was good; beach was beautiful; pool and tiki bar were great. A little misunderstanding at the front desk but one of the employees there was very helpful in correcting the misunderstanding.

One of the front desk clerks was not very helpful and verbalized / insulted my friend while she was there in the lobby on a work call; although he did not realize that she was sitting in the lobby at the time he did this. She let him know she was there and heard what he said.

Rooms are completely new.

Darias was FABULOUS!!! Actually, all the staff we encountered were really terrific and super friendly! Location is great. Property is VERY well taken care of. The updates since the hurricane are beautiful! Room and bathroom were very clean and well stocked.

We would have loved some hooks in the bathroom to hang robes and towels. Oddly, we really had no where to sit and have a cup of coffee in the room as there was 1 chair and NO table (how strange is that?). Kind of limited to sitting on the bed. There was no seating outside the rooms so if we wanted to sit somewhere we had to walk 3 buildings down to the pool area, which does not open until 8 am. They can use better lighting in the "coffee cubby". Maybe an ice machine in each of your 3 buildings, including down by the pool. One ice machine for the entire property just doesn't cut it.

The room was nice, except the bed is too hard.

The neseeims (gnats) were horrible. We went the 3rd week of September, and a lot of the restaurants and stores were closed because it is off-season. We couldn't sit on the beach first thing or evening because if of the neseeims. Pictures on the internet showed clear blue water, and it wasn't. People were saying that because of the storms they had a week before.

The Sanibel Island Beach Resort was VERY peaceful! The "ADULT" pool with the bar was very nice...BUT

....BUT there were children under the age of 13 running around (doing what kids do) while the mom was drinking at the bar! Should be NO CHILDREN ALLOWED in the bar/ADULT POOL area! Secondly....we found out that Sanibel Island has a nickname...SAND FLEA ISLAND!!!! "YES" we got eaten up by Sand Fleas on the beach!!!!

This resort was one of the few now opened 15 months after Hurricane Ian. There was nothing at all wrong with the facility; it was just not the cottage like facility we had patronized for the previous 27 years. Our “resort” was the Castaways. Hurricane Ian removed that completely from existence. Sanibel island Beach Resort is a hotel with direct access to the beach.

It wasn’t a cottage. . . but it wasn’t meant to be.

Location to beach was amazing! Pool was spectacular. Food at outdoor bar was good. Great service at outdoor bar. Nice to have larger fridge in room. Couch/table was comfortable. Great location to area activities, restaurants, & shops.

Could've used more umbrellas around pool. "Closet" area in room was rather tight in relation to sink.
