Location. Staff was delightful! Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cheap towels and toilet paper. Maid service only every 4 days.

Fabulous beach. Convenient location to shops and restaurants. Beautiful gardens. Rooms vary but the second one we stayed in was newly refurbished and stunning. Overlooked the gardens between the two towers and wonderful ocean views sitting on the balcony. The first had a few technical issues, so we were moved without hesitation. Staff reacted very courteously and efficiently

First room had a telephone that didn't work. It was an older style decore. Balcony looked straight onto the roof (and solar panels) of neighboring building. (We were moved and very happy)

Amazing location and lovely facility. Specially love the pool, hot tub and pickle ball courts.

We were in room 1214 and I have to say that the bed was honestly the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. We woke up every morning with back pain. The mattress definitely needs to be changed in this unit. I would avoid staying here if I had to sleep on a mattress like that again.

We stayed in Tower 2 on the 7th floor facing the courtyard. It was quiet and had a great view of the ocean even at night. The condo was clean and roomy. A table and chairs were on the balcony for our one bedroom condo so we ate breakfast out there. The bonus was the in-room washer and dryer with detergent. The location of this property is ideal because it is next door to Whalers Village. The ABC store on the second floor of Whalers Village allowed us to buy groceries and ready made wraps, sandwiches, etc. if we didn't feel like going out. The courtyard dining offered to-go options. Very close to Leilani's, Hula Grill and other popular restaurants. The beach was wide (as opposed to further south on Kaapanali Beach) and the sitting beach chairs were sturdy. Note: Since we drove in at night, it was confusing to drive into The Whaler entrance as you see three buildings. I didn't realize Aston was a management company. There is nothing to indicate Aston on the signage so check-in at The Whaler front desk which is manned 24 hours. Parking is underground and can be busy. We always found a spot though. There is an outdoor backup lot if it is full. 45 minutes drive to the airport. We turned in our rental car earlier in the stay so got a taxi back to the airport - $86 for two on Thanksgiving afternoon.

I feel beach umbrellas should be part of the resort fee to provide shade on the beach. If you want shade, the pool is the only place without paying for it. Not all chairs at the pool are under shade either as the pool area is smaller and fenced in.

Spacious room, well equipped kitchen (mine seems to have been newer/renovated compared to the photos on the website - it had all stainless steel appliances), lovely patio (which had a partial ocean view even in a garden view room), staff were so friendly every time I interacted with them, concierge Elise was so helpful and kind! I loved the proximity to whalers village, easy to get parking in the lot on-site, had a wonderful time at the yoga offered on the lawn one morning. Overall had a great stay!

The property was immaculate. The bell man was super friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub was the kids favorite. The 1 bedroom apartment was very clean and had everything available for use. Would definitely come back to this property.

The staff at the reception desk is very rude. Not sure if its their personality but definitely didn't feel the welcome checking in when we got to Maui.

The location was AMAZING! Right on the beach and next to Whaler's Village with shops, restaurants, tour companies - - only a few minutes from our door! The views are spectacular and the property is very well-maintained and lush. The front desk and all staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this property!!!! (and I'm a stickler for everything) :)

Location and view. Our unit was close to elevator, trash and laundry. Very bright and cheery

The dirty old dated white shag carpet that has multiple people’s germs and who knows what else on their feet. Suggestion: Pull up the carpet, install hard floors and add an area rug. Also, there was no screen so birds kept coming into or room.

This property has everything you need to enjoy your time in Kaanapali. The staff is great and always ready to help or point you in the right direction. There are plenty of loungers by the pool as well as in the grassy areas. If you want sand in your toes, no problem, there are self access beach chairs as well as paid beach lounger and umbrella setups. The access to the village is amazing and makes access to snacks and shopping very easy. The views are incredible from all rooms, and the amount of space in the 1 bedroom 2 bath units is perfect.

The only thing we didn’t like was having to checkout and go home.

Maintenance Painting limited our use of the balcony to our last two days of our 26 day booking. Given that our top floor unit #1214 has a fantastic view of the ocean and the famous Black Rock formation at the Sheraton Maui Resort the lack of access to our balcony was a major disappointment and we should receive financial compensation.
