The rooftop bar was the best feature of the hotel however it was never advertised anywhere. We wouldn’t have known about it if we hadn’t shared the elevator with a couple going there. You would have thought there would have been a placard in the room or told by the staff on check-in.

It is an older building. Our room could have used some love. There was no shower curtain, the toilet ran and the toilet seat was not anchored to the toilet bowl until we called for maintenance. There is no maid service until you leave. There was no mention of it by the front desk. You have to call if you want it during your stay. The hotel charges your credit card and additional $100 per night for “incidentals” they say will be refunded after you check out. However they charged the credit card for honor bar above and beyond that after checkout. Still waiting for the $400 refund. Not sure of what that “scheme” is about.

The Pontchartrain is a charming hotel, the rooms are decorated with a boho feel. The beds were comfortable

The hot water in the shower was hit and miss. The biggest issue was that they only had one working elevator. Had I known I would have requested a lower floor. One night when we returned from dinner there was a line out the door to access the elevator to the rooftop bar. As hotel guest we were able to jump the line. They had a security guard on the first floor but then once on the elevator riders could exit any floor. They need a dedicated elevator that only goes to the rooftop and another for hotel guest.

We loved the location in the garden district. We have been to New Orleans many times, but it was our first time staying in the garden district. Wonderful decision for our family. It was so easy to ride the street car and staying in a neighborhood full of locals made the stay much more enjoyable. There are good restaurants, cafes and ice cream just a short distance away. We came in July (hot and steamy!) and were still able to enjoy walking, so any other time of year should be amazing. The hotel is so charming and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The bathroom wasn’t quite spotless, the floor looked like it could have been cleaned more in the corners, but overall everything was clean. The beds were cozy and we never heard anyone next door or in the hallways. Would definitely love to stay here again.

The location is fabulous with a trolley stop & Hop on/ Off Bus right across the street. We stayed for 7 days in a suite ( rm. 312) as our adult daughter met us there to celebrate the holidays. The suite gave us the extra room desired with dresser space in 2 distinct areas which helped when 3 of us getting dressed AM or PM. Bathroom had an additional tall cabinet for toiletries. Coffee table provided a great space for this game loving family. Any request made was fulfilled promptly even during busy holiday & Sugar Bowl . Impressive how they had staff operate elevator with priority to hotel guests b4 patrons for roof top bar. Staying here was a rare splurge for us but DiJon & Iris at desk and Edwardo & another doorman made it a truly memorable stay. We did not try restaurants as we enjoy vegan choices & so many great ones reached by trolley. Even vegan dining was exceptional in the Big Easy. Do try Avenue cafe one block to the right which amazed us for breakfast 4x!

It met all of our expectations. Wish we could have ordered speciality coffees in Bar area.

The staff were so warm and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious, I particularly enjoyed the gumbo. The room was so lovely and romantic. We especially liked that it was close the the French Quarter but far away enough for some quiet atmosphere. Moving around was easy, especially taking the trolley, super convenient.

We stayed during their hot summer month, so perhaps that had something to do with the water temperature in the shower. I would put it all the way to cold and it was still very warm, my husband could hardly stand it.

The location was amazing! Staff was quick to address any requests. On-site restaurant, Jack Rose, was beautiful and delicious on a rainy afternoon. There was no need to leave our hotel. The St Charles Streetcar arrives in front of the hotel, easy access to Uptown and French Quarter while sightseeing. You can enjoy a drink at the downstairs bar or take it up to your room to enjoy.

the elevator was inoperable once but repaired immediately. upon our arrival, the guests next to us were smoking, we notified the front desk and were moved immediately to another room.

This historic property has character, a roof top bar and a live music venue and on top of these conveniences has a phenomenal restaurant Jack Rose! The staff are amazingly friendly and kind!

Wonderful location, the street car stops right in front of the hotel so it makes accessibility to the city super easy. The staff at the front desk were wonderful, particularly DD. The staff in the café were lovely as well. It is such a beautiful and unique place to stay, it feels historic and really pulls in the vibe of the city.

We really liked everything, it’s a historic building, so it certainly has some unique features and is not modernized.

Authentic New Orleans charm! The property is beautiful and has two amazing bars with some of the city’s best live jazz acts daily. The room was so spacious and gorgeous!

The location is a little out of the way, in more of a quiet area, although easy transport links are just outside! Staff weren’t as welcoming as we had experienced elsewhere.

Overpriced for the Taylor swift concert, so I can’t say how much it is to stay here at normal rates. Someone dated in the room. I like the older, 1920s-40s style, vintage decor, but you can tell the place needs a bit of tlc. The quality of the carpet and the sink in our room was a little tired.
