We recently stayed at the St Charles Coach House and overall we enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable as was the bed. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. We liked the proximity to the streetcar, a good breakfast cafe (Avenue Cafe), good restaurant (Lula’s) and great roof top bar in the Pontchartrain Hotel.

Unfortunately, the glass in our window was partially covered in a white film, I suspect the double glassing unit had failed. On a VERY NEGATIVE note on the day we checked out we caught the woman from housekeeping cleaning the mugs in our room with one of our dirty towels. She immediately dropped the towel onto the pile of our other used towels. I took the towel to reception and reported what I had witnessed. When questioned by the manager she denied doing it, obviously, and sadly the manager was prepared to believe her even though the towel was covered in coffee stains. I know what I saw and I know that was one of our used towels as it had another stain on it that I recognised.

The location was fantastic! The trolley is $3 for a 24 hour pass and a stop is located right outside. It's a short ride to Bourbon Street or restaurants. There are several within walking distance too. It's was quiet. The hotel was fully booked, and we would've never known there were other people there. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. They lock the hotel and parking garage up at night, which made me feel incredibly safe. You get a code to get in after 8pm. I will 100% stay here again.

The water takes forever to warm up. It takes about 10 minutes or so.

Overall, the hotel left a good impression. The location is nice—not too noisy—and we got a room on the second floor with a balcony. It’s clear that the property is being looked after and maintained in decent condition. There’s free parking available, but you’ll need to get a permit. The hotel smells pleasant, the bed linens were clean, and the room itself was tidy. Can’t say anything about the WiFi - we didn’t use that.

A few things gave us mixed feelings: there were some stains on the towels, and at checkout we noticed a discrepancy in the bill—it was over $8 more than what we had booked on Booking.com (there are additional fees charged at check-in).

The property isn’t far from anything you want to do in the city. Free parking in private garage. No fuss check in. Spacious room. Other comments complained about the beds being “too soft”. They were perfect. Like sleeping on a cloud. Air con quickly cooled off the room. Staff were nice and didn’t hesitate to answer questions. There’s free snacks in the lobby! Will likely stay again the next time I visit.

The bathroom door in my room did not close. If you tried, it would get stuck/very hard to open. A few of the towels were stained or had a smell. Not a true negative but housecleaning knocked at 8 am. That’s just too early for a weekend. lol

This lovely hotel is in an excellent location for Mardi Gras if you go with children. Parking is also gated at the hotel. There is a fee for it, which is to be expected during this time of year. It is quiet at night once the parades end and everything settles down. If you want to experience bourbon or the partying atmosphere, I recommend staying closer to Canal Street.

I would love a better coffee bar. They do have a Keurig in the lobby and rooms and a coffee shop within walking distance, so it's not a complaint, but it would be nice.

Location to Garden District in NO was nice as we had reservations at the Commander's Palace. The room was really nice, combination of Art Deco and modern decor gave it a nice vintage yet clean feel.

No food or bar services at this hotel, not used to having nothing. Also, Location again, not good, at night...sketchiness showed up. Went in to a liquor store right next door and remained very cognizant of sketchy patronage, and some folks were also in a hurry to get out. So I did my business and GTFO!

I received such a warm welcome here! Carlos checked me in and went above & beyond helping me with my bags. He even went as far as to get them up to my room while I parked my car. Soft music was playing when I walked into my room, everything was clean, & the bed was so comfortable. Convenient to have the St. Charles line right out the door. The parking garage was peace of mind too. All staff here were great too from the front desk to housekeeping, to management. I loved it here!

I would have loved to have breakfast, but there are places around to grab a good bite to eat, so this would not deter me from staying here again.

The room was very big, clean and comfortable. Free coffee and water and everyone was super nice. Parking was free, but crowded if you get there too late. Great location, in the middle of downtown with tons of things to do within walking distance. I really liked all of the informative text messages they sent to my phone as they aswered a lot of questions.

No decaf coffee available, and on the last night I called the front desk to refill the water cooler, which they never did.

Clean, nicely decorated hotel, very large room with comfortable king bed. Relatively small bathroom, but adequate with a full-size walk-in shower. Good water pressure and temperature. Secure parking in an on-site garage is a big plus and one of the main reasons I picked this hotel. Located at the southern (eastern) end of the Garden District. Very good location on St. Charles for the Irish Day and Mardi Gras parades. Walking distance to Magazine Street, cable car to Downtown if you desire. Many good restaurants within walking distance, street car or short drive.

The lobby is clean and well decorated, just not very warm and welcoming. It would be nice if the restaurant/bar was operational to help liven the atmosphere.

The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Staff were very kind and friendly and made special efforts to celebrate graduates- since we were there for Graduation this was a lovely surprise!

We were there for 4days and the rooms were not cleaned. We emptied our own trash cans etc. I realised later that rooms would be cleaned only upon request. This did not affect the enjoyment of our stay though!
