We stayed for a week in the ocean view building in a 2-queen room on the 3rd floor room with a private balcony. Though it is a bit more than we usually spend per night due to location, the hotel itself and the location lived up to the price point. So rare to find a hotel in a tourist town where the bathroom is spacious, is in good shape and has a good water pressure for showers. The room had a nice amount of storage, a ceiling fan, fridge, microwave, screen for the balcony, modern climate control, and comfortable bed. Big TV was good during the NBA finals. Wifi worked well in room. The balcony / windows view was absolutely wonderful, I loved being able to check it out at different times of day or watch the rain from inside. Though there are boats docked outside, they were very quiet compared to the harbor where we live in NYC and you will not be disturbed by them. We took the puffin tour on the eden star and it was awesome (and a lifelong dream for this birder). Bring binoculars! The property had lovely landscaping and a good variety of songbirds, it is set back from the road and very quiet. I really appreciated that breakfast started at 7 and not 8 or 8:30 like a lot of places in town, allowing you to take advantage of it and get out in the park before the rush. There were other nice touches like water bottle filling stations, easy free parking, free trail mix, lobby coffee and baked goods / fruit. The staff were very kind and attentive. Awesome location, close enough to eat in the town center within 10 minutes but easy road access to acadia in the morning without the fray. This was our 3rd visit to bar harbor and I would definitely stay here again.

Only a TINY thing I can think of: adding a lamp in the corner where the side table / chairs was in the room would help, as with any hotel there was a weird dark spot there in the evening. But the rest of the room was well illuminated and set up very comfortably for a week long stay.

Fantastic hotel situated by the sea, very close to Bar Harbour and the Acadia national park entrance. We had a clean, comfortable room in a modern building with balcony and sea view. There's a little beach with pebbles and a playground for kids on the hotel grounds. The hotel has a warm indoor pool, a hot tub and a small gym. There's also an outdoor pool (which is seasonally open). The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there is complimentary coffee and cookies/muffins in the lobby. The service is great, the staff is very friendly and you can get information about the national park and local events from the lobby. The hotel organised a campfire in the evening with s'mores for the kids. We also tried the restaurant, the food was good. There's laundry facilities in the hotel, water refilling stations and free parking. Overall we had an excellent stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed here once before during the pandemic and was very impressed with how well the hotel was run, so I decided to stay here again for this year's annual Acadia adventure. It was a fantastic stay, and the view from my room in the main building was awesome. The breakfast was wonderful, with a variety of warm and cold dishes available. I especially liked the flatbread breakfast pizzas and potatoes. All the staff members were very friendly and super-helpful. My room was spotless and I liked the soap and shampoo dispensers on the wall of the shower since they are much more environmentally friendly than toiletries in small plastic bottles and wrappers.

There wasn't anything that detracted from my stay at the Atlantic Oceanview. I might have liked a second soap dispenser near the bathroom sink, as I had to reach into the shower every time I wanted to wash my hands, but that was the only minor gripe. I liked the location since it was away from the town center although some might find it too far. It was about a twenty-minute walk into town, and Bar Harbor can be notoriously difficult for motorists. On the other hand, it was closer to the Hulls Cove visitor center and right across Eden Street from an access path to Duck Brook Road and the carriage roads in the park.

All the staff that we encountered from reception, concierge and room service are all great, they’re all courteous and very accommodating. We did not encountered any staff that didn’t greet us with smile. Our room is spacious with a patio that has an exceptional view of the sunrise 🌅The breakfast has a good selection all the staffs there are very attentive refilling foods and removing empty dishes. The hotel is walkable to the Beautiful Bar Harbor Downtown and a short drive to Acadia National Park. This hotel gave us a memorable experienced. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Bar Harbor.

Great value for money sea-view room just outside of Bar Harbor, but an easy walk in to town if you fancy a stroll. Public areas were immaculate, welcoming and gave a great first impression. Hot drinks available in reception area all day (I think). Rooms themselves were plenty roomy, very clean, fab decor and the balconies great for enjoying the views; beds were comfy and it was pretty quiet at night, although I did have neighbours who banged and crashed about from about 6am - my bad luck, I guess... Breakfast was amazing, had about everything you could wish for and good quality. Particularly loved the fresh fruit and pastries selection, although there was at least two hot savouries available, too. We requested toast and that was brought fresh to our table - brilliant! There was a social fire pit one evening, too - thoroughly enjoyed chatting to folk around that.

Noisy neighbours and parking could be a bit of a challenge when returning late evening...

The breakfast was better than any included breakfast I have had. The trail mix bar and smores are night were a great addition. I loved being waterfront. Staff were all very friendly. Very happy it had an island explorer bus stop as too far from all the activities and too expensive to drive and park ourselves in Bar Harbor. Overall would recommend to friends and family.

The rooms were just a tad tight for 6 nights for 4 people and the bathroom was small. Indoor pool water was a bit chilly. Wish the back door was available to use key code to enter vs walking all the way around to the front.

The views are spectacular. The daily breakfast was amazing and the best included breakfast we’ve ever had. They also varied it day to day so during our 5 day stay it never got old. The yogurt and breakfast pizzas were the best. They opened early as well so we could enjoy and fuel up before our day of hiking. We also really enjoyed the daily make it yourself trail mix. These extras really made our stay as great as it was.

Everything was great about the property overall and we loved our stay and room. Only thing I’d say about the Oceanview rooms, ground level is the rooms were very clean but carpets need washed. Socks or bottom of feet would be dirty walking on them. We had to wear our sandals or shoes after taking shower. I do feel this is not an easy task especially since guests are hiking and enjoying the outdoors and probably not all remove muddy shoes after a rainy muddy day of hiking. But the room overall very clean and well maintained. This wouldn’t affect my overall rating or future stays.

Everything was excellent ... every single staff member was so easy to exchange with, so friendly and so respectful (from front desk, to breakfast staff to grounds and room staff.; room was well designed (from sink by fridge and microwave, to balcony, to comfortable bed); and breakfast was superb every day, with complimentary coffee/tea too all day; fantastic location to access park (including by cycling) and BH; EV charging; great indoor pool and workout area. Location location location!!! This hotel was close to everything including Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other towns such as Mt.Desert and Ellsworth. We stayed in the Main building and the view was great! Sunrises and Sunsets were beautiful on the balcony. It was a lot of fun watching the boats on the water! Our room was two queen beds with a TV, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. It worked for us for the week. The week that we visited, the air conditioner broke in the building and they were waiting for a part to fix it. They were transparent when we checked in and gave us an option to stay at another hotel across the street or a discounted rate for the trouble. It was fine with us because the weather was great with low temperatures so we just opened our patio door with a screen in the evenings. Other guests checking in were not happy about the air conditioner and gave the front desk a little trouble, but this is something out of their control. I thought the ladies at the front desk handled the situation great by being transparent and offering options! The pool and Cadillac Cafe are in the same building. The pool was closed for a few days when we visited which didn't bother us. The morning breakfast in the cafe was always great! They have such a good selection of food from hot to cold! The coffee was delicious, eggs, potatoes, a different meat each day, breakfast flat breads, as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, and other staple breakfast foods such as cereal, muffins, banana bread and croissants were offered. The indoor seating was pleasant but the outdoor seating we enjoyed the most ( on the warmer mornings) because of the view again 😊 The hotel also has a Bistro that opens at 4 p.m. for dinner and drinks. The desserts were yummy and kid approved as well as the Chicken pesto flatbread was yummy too! The hotel has a small gift shop with cute items to purchase. The hotel has a friendly team working. We enjoyed our morning discussions with all of them.

The hotel is beautiful, especially the view which is absolutely breathtaking. The staff was wonderful, everyone was exceptionally kind. The housekeeping does an excellent job. The room was clean, modern and spacious. We had a beautiful balcony with a gorgeous view of the bay. The beds are AMAZING! They do a wonderful complementary breakfast with tons of delicious options. The Bistro restaurant in the hotel has a gorgeous view and outdoor seating options. We ate there twice and both times the food was amazing! My children loved the outdoor playground area, and the s’mores by the fire after dinner. If I take another trip to Acadia I will definitely stay at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel again. I would and will recommend to everyone I know. 😊 Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.
