Really welcoming, helpful staff; the bedroom facilities, decor and phenominal housekeeping; the location - easy to walk into the centre of Bar Harbor and carry stuff back from the large Hannafords supermarket and also, due to the specific location of our room, the bonus of feeling close to nature - lots of birdsong, squirrels and a deer nibbling grass shoots right under our back window!

Difficult to find fault. Guess if had had really loud neighbours would have been a different experience as the wall between our room and the next seemed rather thin. However, that is common with most places we've stayed at. A small table along with the chairs on the porch outside our room would have been a helpful addition.

While it is a motel and I am not sure what that means; my truck with bikes in the back was parked right out the door, which was convenient. There were two chairs out the door and it was like having a little porch to hang out on. The rooms were bigger than a standard hotel room and we had a refrigerator and microwave - that was a bonus.

While quiet between the rooms, you could hear people walking out on the front porch as if they were in the room with you. You could hear them come and go in their vehicles and converse with each other. Fortunately, it was not full, but I can imagine it might be loud for some.

The rooms we stayed in (we stayed in two) were both very nice...pristine even. Very clean, very newly updated...each room had a mini fridge, microwave, tv and wifi...all of which performed seamlessly. The staff were VERY nice and accommodating.

The first room we stayed in (#52) is next to a utility room in which a machine runs off and on all the time. It sounds like some kind of a pump. It could be heard clearly through the wall...especially at night as it is located directly across the wall from where one's head would be while sleeping. The noise made sleeping difficult...because the machine would start and stop...and when it ran...it ran for hours. The staff moved us to another room and the problem was solved. My advice...ask not to be placed in Rm #52.

The hotel is close to Arcadia NP Visitor Center, via car, as well as walking distance to the village of Bar Harbor, the grocery store and the boat dock and restaurants. The free shuttle stops next door for pick up and drops off across the street from the hotel. The Arcadia NP carriage trail is steps away on a short trail path. The bike rental shop is 1/2 mile down the road. The updated room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with supplies. The king bed was very comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and incredibly thoughtful. The location, although on Eden Street, was quiet. We would definitely stay here again .

comfortable bed, had microwave and little refrigerator. We were pleasantly surprised by the towel art - an elephant ‘s head made from towel was displayed on our bed and there was a bow on the toilet paper roll. Nice touches! TV in room was nice to have.

Mainly can hear the neighbors from within the room - tv, water running, but understandable as this is an older motel.

No Breakfast, but it was a clean and comfortable hotel, not too far from Bar Harbor. It's a walkable distance especially if you haven't done a long hike. The bus comes fairly regularly too. Also, it's great that there are solar panels on the roof!! I was charmed by the creative folding of a towel!

Perfectly fine. It would be nice if there had been breakfast because it is just a bit far from Bar Harbor for walking and driving into Bar Harbor requires having to find a parking space (not always easy) and paying $4/hour for it. Of course there is the bus and it does come regularly and promptly.

We took the CAT over from Nova Scotia and the Motel was so close. Looks like the rooms had been renovated & they were adorable. The cleaner took the time to fold the towels into shapes of sea shells and even made a bow with the toilet paper. Very very clean. Bed was comfortable. Two cute little chairs to sit on outside. Wish I were able to stay more than 1 night.

A little table between the chairs outside your set drinks on would be awesome.

Bathroom window is just tempered glass, you can see through it, it's right on walkway,blinds or curtains would be better

We loved how clean and spacious our room was. All of the staff we encountered, including the women who checked us in and out, were super nice and very helpful. Additionally, the location just couldn’t be beat! We hopped on the bus right from the hill and got off the bus right across the street. It made getting to town during this busy season so easy!

Building looked a bit dated from the outside but the room was very spacious and newly refurbished. Biggest room in a motel during this road trip. Daily cleaning which is great! Location is also good close to the national park and town.

As it is all wood it is a bit noisy. The first night we could hardly sleep as the people one floor higher were awake and noisy during most of the night.
