The location is within walking distance to town and located on a quieter road. The staff is fantastic! They provide you with maps and give suggestions for where to go and what to do (based on days vacationing). The lounge was cute and cozy. In the lounge you could find snacks, drinks, and treats for the day. Constance and Christopher are the best! Constance suggested a wonderful place for lobster and it was amazing! Christopher helped me with my late arrival process. Christopher assured me that my key would be at the desk upon arrival and it was. My flight time was changed 8 times causing me to arrive very late (1am).

Great location downtown but not on the main drag, so it's easy to walk everywhere in Bar Harbor but is also quiet. The staff here is what makes it truly exceptional--Candace greeted us like old friends and mapped out an itinerary for our 2 days that covered all of our wants. We packed in so much awesomeness in our short time--hiking, the best lobster rolls, shopping, cocktails--and we basically didn't have to do anything but follow what she laid out!! Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for any first time visitor who wants friendly service (literally everyone who works here is lovely) and great advice!!

I couldn’t have chosen a better destination than Bar Harbor Manor — it was, without question, the highlight of my two-week road trip. From the moment I arrived, everything about the property impressed me: the tranquil setting, warm atmosphere, and the exceptional rooms. I was even surprised with an unrequested room upgrade, which was such a delight. The lobby has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. I especially enjoyed starting my mornings there with a coffee in hand, planning the day ahead. But what truly sets Bar Harbor Manor apart is the outstanding staff. Sydney and Constance were incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make me feel not just comfortable, but genuinely welcome. In a gesture that still amazes me, Sydney even accompanied me on a hike — not only as a fantastic guide, but as a truly lovely person to share the time with. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and generosity of spirit are a true credit to the hotel. I’m not sure where else you’d find that kind of hospitality, but I feel very lucky to have experienced it here. Sincere thanks to everyone at Bar Harbor Manor for making my stay so special.

The room was quite spacious. We loved the warming vent in the bathroom! Well equipped with a good sized refrigerator, and very clean. It was an excellent location with an easy walk downtown and to local restaurants and shops. Christopher checked us in and was amazing! He was a wealth of information both about Bar Harbor and options for our daughters nuptials in May 2026. He is truly a gem. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic and so helpful.

We stayed in Room (suite) 34 in the Acadia House. Nice room, spacious bathroom. Comfy bed. Good sheets. Plenty of towels. Nice to have a sink in the kitchenette as well as in the bathroom. Enjoyed the whirlpool tub. Shower water pressure excellent. The grounds were well kept. Desk staff, especially Constance, very warm and helpful. Super convenient to walk to all areas of Bar Harbor. Top-notch location, while still being peaceful/quiet. Easy parking on site. Gardens lovely and polinator friendly!

Wonderful! Very convenient location. Immaculate, comfy beds, nice cool rooms, awesome balcony, huge rooms with mini frig. The beds are so comfortable. I even asked for a pillow that was. not so think and they went to their pillow closet and got a thinner pillow. The grab and go breakfast is out until 10:30 and is perfect - coffee, orange juice, fresh muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, bananas and oranges. Granola bars are out to take on your hike. Coffee is available all throughout the day as well as lemonade. Fresh cookies are there in the afternoon. The best part of all is Constance who completely mapped out each day of hiking and where to eat on our four night trip. She had advised us to get the Cadillac Mountain sunset pass for the evening we arrived then we ate at the cozy and delicious Black Friar Pub. We hiked Jordan Pond, Sand Lake, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs and had lunch under the yellow umbrella terrace at Bar Harbor Inn with an amazing view to the harbor and lobster. We hiked Southwest Harbor and ate at Beal's Lobster Pound - amazing. Also hiked Northeast Harbor and Shore Line Trail. We stayed in hotel room 301 which was very large wirh an elevator and balcony with our car parked right outside! It was rhetorical perfect stay! Thank you Constance! I hope your manager knows how valuable you are!

I liked everything.

I wish I could remember the name of the lovely young woman who checked us in on arrival. She was helpful but not fawning and got us started on a terrific visit, our first, to this amazing town. The room, a little suite in a small building adjacent to the main lodge, was perfect - comfortable, spacious and very clean. The Manor is located within an easy walking distance to the center of town, close and far enough away to enjoy all of the city's charms without living amidst the humdrum of hundreds of people milling about.

While it was not an issue for us, there was a steep climb up a flight of stairs with no elevator access to our room. We did not consider it a disadvantage but were traveling light!

Our king suite was awesome!! The bed was firm and very comfortable. We had ample room to enjoy our 4 day stay. The jacuzzi tub was used frequently to ease sore muscles after hiking the trails at Acadia. Upon returning to our unit each day, our room was spotless and welcoming. The cookies in the office were a welcome afternoon treat as were the blueberry muffins for breakfast. Bar Harbor Manor is a quiet beautiful place to stay while in Bar Harbor and the location makes it simple to walk to downtown Bar Harbor to enjoy the shops and views of the harbor. The office staff are eager to talk to you about things to do and where to eat. Their recommendations are always spot on. We have stayed here numerous times when we visit the area and will definitely be back.

Bar Harbor Manor was such a great experience. I booked this on short notice and wasn't sure what to expect Constance and Chris are both the most brilliant, wonderful people I've had the chance to meet. They'd always be there to provide any and all help. Constance would map out and plan all our days for us starting with where to hike, the best places to eat, what not to miss in Acadia National Park and around Bar Harbor- this included smaller details like where to watch the sunset and nooks and crannies of Bar harbor I wouldn't have seen thanks to them (despite all my research). The room was lovely, it was at the center of Bar Harbor and right by Acadia. I also loved that they had a free grab and go snack set up for breakfast with fruit and muffins and protein bars making it a perfect way to start a hiking day without having to worry about breakfast. The lobby was also so charming. Will definitely be back soon and righly recommend more folks stay here!

We had a King Suite (#31) and it was huge! SO very roomy!! The bed was comfortable, and the chairs in the living area were super comfy, too. Continental Breakfast was okay and the coffee was good. There were muffins, various packaged bars/snacks, fruit, and yogurt.

The carpet/wall paper combo was painful to the eyes! LOL Crazy combo, for sure! The only other thing was that there wasn't a table to do work on, but I made do. It wasn't a big deal, but I mention it in case it's something others need to know.
