The staff was extremely friendly and answered all questions we had. We we got to our room, our daughter who had just graduated from college, had the sweetest goodie bag and a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a card for her!! That was above and beyond!! The room was just what we needed and the beds were very comfortable! The breakfast was amazing everyday!! The staff that helped with breakfast did a phenomenal job keeping the food replenished and the area clean and they were so friendly! The location of the hotel was amazing! Just a short walk to all restaurants and shopping, but just far enough away to be out the hustle and bustle of the town.

It would be nice to have blackout curtains because the sun rises so early, but we just got up and started our day early each day.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The free parking alone was worth its weight in gold. The facilities were clean and elegant, and the staff consistently went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The included breakfast was always fresh and of high quality, my partner and I found ourselves looking forward to it each morning. The location is perfect - right on the main street for shops and food, and we often found ourselves enjoying the porch people watching while we planned our days. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The breakfast was excellent with changing freshly baked goods offered daily as well as eggs, meats, wonderful fresh fruit, etc. The breakfast staff and front desk staff were so attentive and always had a smile for the guests. While we didn't have our room serviced, the housekeeping staff smiled and greated guests as we passed by. This hotel was truly one of the best staffed properties I have ever enjoyed. (We stay in hotels at least one weekend a month year around.)

I have no suggestions for inmorovement. Clearly the owner and staff care.

The staff was absolutely awesome. Very professional, pleasant, kind and helpful. The room was very nicely sized, clean and comfortable. Bed linens were beautiful. New carpet in the room was beautiful. Lovely bathroom.

The awkward cabinet and refrigerator setup was kind of a pain. The hallway decor needs updating. A more streamlined, simple, modernized look would be good, rather than the kind of gaudy 1980's floral wallpaper, and the 1980's "tit" lights on the ceiling need to be replaced with something more tasteful and classic, simple, modern rather than gaudy. I'm sure you guys are working on it ! I was not impressed with the breakfast where it had been really pumped up. Would like to see more gourmet items.

Breakfast was exceptional and staff very accommodating. Location ideal even with on going outside construction. Rooms 310 & 410 I think family style rooms. Exactly what I thought they would be. Staff service was very friendly, courteous and helpful.

My booking was not to my liking. I called directly to the Hotel for information and reservations. As advertised to receive the best pricing for accommodations and was redirected too Booking.com. Surprised and with a little anxiety the information provided by Booking.com was not 100% accurate and I had to call more than once to check on our accommodations with the Hotel.

I enjoyed so many things about our stay! Prime location in Bar Harbor, minutes from Acadia National Park, the staff was always warm and welcoming, etc. My favorite part was the attention to detail and investment staff made in each guest experience. A wide variety of breakfast options, 24/7 hot chocolate/coffee/apple cider, laundry availability, and they would even leave hiking snacks and fresh fruit out for us before we left for the day! Definitely one of the best hotel experiences I have had.

My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower could be a little stronger. Nothing else I can think of!

This hotel has an excellent location right in town. My children were amazed when we checked in and they each received a free stuffy! This put the Bar Harbor Grand at the top of their hotel lists for sure. The breakfast buffet was excellent, our room was huge and the beds were comfortable. We were only there for one night, but would love to have a longer stay in the future.

Honestly nothing! We had high expectations, and they were certainly met. We arrived in the rain and still managed to have a fun afternoon in the pool and hot tub, despite the gloomy weather!

After we wrapped up in Kennebunkport, we travelled up further North to Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is a beautiful resort town located on Mount Desert Island, which is also the home of the stunning Acadia National Park. We arrived into Bar Harbor just before 16.00 and checked into our home for the next three nights, The Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. The Grand Hotel is a replica of the much older Rodick House and has an older worldly charm to it. Location wise its right on main street and a less than five minute walk will get you to the towns Green. The interior of the building has a classic hotel feel to it, which some modern add on’s such as swipe cards for entry to the rooms. We found the bedrooms to be very spacious and comfortable. The beds especially were the comfiest we stayed in on our two week road trip. The bathroom was fantastic too, with a room size mirror and a nice deep bath and shower combination for a relaxing dip after a long day of exploring the local area. We included breakfast in our stay and we found it to be very tasty. The coffee was strong and there seemed to be a constant flux of the items on offer day to day which I enjoyed. Also due to its location the hotel is very quiet, as its just out of the town centre enough to provide pure quietness when trying to sleep. Finally the staff at the hotel were all very friendly and professional down to the last team member and we felt very welcomed during our time there.

The continental breakfast was excellent with lots of yummy options to choose from. The hotel was very clean and pretty and the staff were kind and helpful. Iloved that it was a central location to so many shops and restaurants. I would absolutely recommend and stay again.

Unfortunately the cleaning staff seemed to be short staffed so we never were able to get our room tidied up during our stay.

All of the staff were very friendly, two standouts were Alecea at the front desk and Melissa, who cleaned the rooms. I love the fresh flowers all over, the landscaping, the location, the breakfast was better than I expected. I enjoyed little touches like the cutlery being environmentally friendly. I loved them putting out a trail mix bar certain days.
