Excellent location, close to restaurants, shops and parks. Lovely room including coffee machine. It felt very comfortable!

Staff at the reception is not friendly, breakfast at the top roof restaurant was a bit busy and uncomfortable for hotel guests after 11 am

This was the first time staying at this hotel. It exceeded our expectations for these reasons. The location is in the center of Boston. The Public Garden is across the street. The subway lines are easily accessible but most of all the staff (everyone we encountered) went out of their way to accommodate your needs or requests. The hotel rooftop restaurant, Contessa, is first class, pricey but worth the treat! The bar area is the perfect spot with great views of Boston and just a happening spot. The food was very good. The lounge bar on the first floor has great Public Garden views if you sit at the window (great for people watching) and the food and service is outstanding. The rooms were a good size and beds very comfortable. They provided water in cans each day and there is a nespresso coffee machine in each room. We were on the 5th floor in the front of the hotel with a Public Garden view but higher rooms have a better view over the trees. We will definately stay at the Newbury for future Boston trips.

My one and only dislike was the wedding music heard in our room on the Saturday night only. There are many weddings at this hotel and the weekends are busy and active. Maybe the higher floors do not hear the music, not sure! Everything else was perfect!

Wow, the staff at this hotel are just amazing. From the concierge, reception, cleaning as well as the bar staff in the bar downstairs, the service is impeccable and nothing is too much. We stayed for Boston Marathon and you couldn't have had a better location!! Even better, the hotel put on an amazing runners breakfast including bagels, porridge and gu gels! Then after the marathon they put on a finishers party which included lots of great food and drinks. The bar downstairs is great, but the restaurant at the top is bad. The staff are rude and the food is poor, but this restaurant is not run by the same owners as the hotel.

The service provided by staff was very personal and the gym was very good. Large enough with a wide range of machines and equipment. The room was a good size with a great view of Boston Common. The hotel has an excellent location. We walked everywhere as it's very central in a lovely district of Boston.

As it was cold in Boston, the windows were ill fitting which created a draft in the room, and the heating system was very noise. We kept it off most of the time. Bar drinks felt expensive which ultimately stopped us going. That said, something to be expected for this type/standard of hotel.

We stayed here while visiting colleges with my 17-year-old and 9-year-old. I chose it to balance college shopping with some fun for my little one. The location is perfect across from the public garden and walkable to so many fun parts of Boston. Although the marathon was on our first day, it never felt crowded, and the concierge got us great reservations. Breakfast in the Street Bar was a treat and the service was exceptional (thanks Conch!). Every staff member we spoke with told us their Boston college experiences and we discovered that the concierge went to Tufts for piano. They doted on my kids and absolutely made our trip. Take a moment to notice the art - it was mostly curated from local artists.

The Newbury is a very nice hotel with helpful staff and a great location near the Boston Common. There were many attractions and shops within walking distance and the hotel is situated very close to a subway station that made touring Boston a breeze.

The bar and main restaurant are very popular so getting a seat was often a challenge for in-house guests. However the staff do go the extra mile to try to accommodate guests.

From the moment we stepped in the hotel, service was excellent! We stayed there for the Boston Marathon weekend and it was the perfect location!!! Our room overlooked the Boston Public Garden and we could watch the BAA 5k from our window. Easy to catch Ubers and walking distance to many great sights! Rooms were nice and beds super comfy. It was quiet too. The hotel did some nice extras for the Boston runners on race day that were much appreciated!

Excellent location on the park, beautiful area, great for walks, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. Staff are superb with a wonderful attitude and very welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful. Excellent gym.

The only criticism is that the restaurant at the rooftop, Contessa serves as a breakfast venue, and it’s gorgeous but the hostess staff are not the friendliest or most polite. Both times we ate there, they made us feel a little less welcome. The restaurant also has a limited menu. I would recommend trying it once, but then go elsewhere and try something else.

The location, cleanliness and comfort were amazing. Concierge service is attentive and helpful. The restaurant has a wonderful view, the food is delicious and the breakfast room is very pleasant. I would definitely recommend it. The luggage carriers were very helpful and friendly. It was great to be next to the park, it was so fun to see the squirrels

I love the location and I already liked your restaurants so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed

just the checkout that my room was charged for in room dining that I definitely did not order. The lady wanted me to see the signature like I forgot which I did not like. I know I did not order anything and the bill was given when I hadn't even checked in yet!
