Location near the downtown of Northampton is excellent. A good number of restaurant choices and cafes are very close. A good place to stay especially during the beginning of university when parents sending their kids to move in and move out. Strategically located among many colleges nearby. Breakfast is enough to start the day. Actually good local coffee! Variety of egg choices would be appreciated though. Daily boiled eggs can be changed to easy scrambled or sunny side up.

One receptionist upon check in could be more cheerful and friendly. Was met with a cranky lady.

The room was pleasant and clean with excellent easy to adjust climate control. Bedding was pleasant. Breakfast was real, and had something for everyone. The location is in walking distance to downtown and the bus or train station, and the highway is close by as well.

This is a complaint about all hotels these days. Everyone's tv service at home is streaming these days. It seems like it should be easy to set up the tvs so people could log in to more than just Netflix. I always end up using my tablet instead of the big television in the room. Actually, if one could cast the tablet to the TV, that would be even better because then the hotel wouldn't be capitation people's PII and have to deal with properly handling that data.

Just minor nitpicks - could have had a telephone shower as well; could add some international sockets to the sockets in the room

Comfortable and functional. Good breakfast for a midrange chain hotel like that.

Check-in took inordinately long. We were literally at the counter 20 minutes trying to check in, while she fought with her computer, forgot things, had to redo things or ask other colleagues for help. Room make-up policy was unclear. Was it on request only, or automatically done? Despite asking the woman 3 times, it still wasn't clear because her answer was always vague. "Fitness center" very small indeed. A bit more expensive than we expected for that location.

Location was good and room was good. Really all that I expect from a Fairfield in. Breakfast was serviceable and staff was friendly. Overall a good stay.

The only issue is it's one of those hotels that puts like 8 pillows on the bed and no combo of them ever seems to hit it right for me. Probably just a sign I should bring my own pillow.

First of all Northampton is a fun city to explore and has some beautiful biking paths. It was a nice place to stop on the way towards our final destination. This hotel was in a great location easily able to walk to town and explore. The hotel was nice and clean with a full breakfast. The staff, as well, were helpful and sweet. I had paid for the hotel through booking.com but their system did not fully register this and they patiently worked with me to figure out the issue. I also liked the fitness center - a bit bigger than most hotel gyms and I always appreciate when they have dumbbells - not a given with many hotels). And again, very clean which is always the most important part of a hotel for me. We also had a gorgeous view of some mountains from our window and we watched the sun set.

My only complaint is that the room was a bit small for the price. I felt a bit cramped. For one night it was ok but multiple nights could get annoying.

The location is great the garden and view make special, the vibe, the breakfast had good choices, health and tasty, any request at the front desk was answered and they accommodated and that is top.

the bathroom door at the springfield Inn didnt give you privacy, that sliding door is not enough for you to feel comfortable to use the toilet or shower.

The room was very clean, roomy and comfortable, as always. This is our go-to place when visiting my daughter at UMass Amherst. The free breakfast was delicious and we love WEBS yarn which is in ealking distance! In the past three years we have stayed here and it never disappoints!!

I.had a problem with my first room and they upgraded me with no problem. In the lobby they actually pay attention to the customers and I love the snack area and the free breakfast was so good.

There was a spider in my room, but they change me right away.

Great welcome. Never been to this part of NE before. Lad on Reception welcoming , helpful & gave excellent advice on places to visit , est et Also have to mention bloke on breakfast duty. Could not be more helpful
